Which concerns the Jungle Exploration theme I'm surprised that there'll be six regular sold sets: The buggy (6 Euros) won't include much otherwise - maybe a plant and a small animal. The Starter Set (10 Euros) will for sure be similar to the one from the VR sets last year - only replace the mini vulcanoe by a small treasure and the buggy by some other small vehicle. For sure useful for getting minifigs for a cheap price. I wonder to see that there'll be a cargo heli with only 20 Euros. So there can't be much accessory included apart from only the heli. Only some cargo stuff. But I don't see any small location. Consequently I'm very critical of this set. A half-tracked vehicle is always nice. And for 30 Euros there should even be some small location included. I can't really imagine how a mobile laboratory (50 Euros) in a jungle mission can look like. At least I hope that there'll be small ruin or cave included. With its 100 Euros, the Research Location might have potential. Apart from supposably two vehicles I hope that there'll be a decent sized ruin with a nice interior and a wooden hut with a small laboratory inside. Nope. The site lists FATP with 49,49 Euros, too. But in the most European countries it was 40 Euros and FATB will consequently be the same.

As much as I was looking forward to this theme: Since neither brickset nor the source from where we have the set lists for summer from lists (sets of this) theme, I bet that this was a fake rumour.
-
Thank you very much for posting this list, makoy! No hopsital, no ambulance and no harbor theme! But yes - a new bus station and a Fun At The Beach! First of all which concerns the three stand-alone sets: After years we're finally getting a bus station - that's really cool! For 40 Euros (most common price) I bet it'll include a regular bus, a bus station, four minifigs and (for the price imo neccessary) even some nice addition like a small kiosk, a statue or a fountain. Much earlier than awaited we're getting the Fun At The Beach set (same price like FATP) - wow! I bet it'll include a similar minifig constellation like in the Fun At The Park set: two boys, two girls, grandma, grandpa, father, mother, baby, male teen, two men and three women. I hope that there'll be a very small "watchtower", an ice-cream cart, a (wind) surfboard, a sand castle, a palm tree, some sun umbrellas and sunloungers. Maybe there could even be a small beach bar. The baby shouldn't be only white again but have some printing on it. And I hope that the majority of the minifigs will wear swimming wear. As far which concerns the Freight Terminal (most common 80 Euros) I fear the same thing like makoy - for sure it'll be very similar to the one from 2013: a cargo plane (medium sized for the set's price, but could be a propeller plane), a forklift, maybe another small vehicle and some cargo stuff. A tower is for sure not included since there's already one in the Airport flagship set from 2016. Honestly said I can't imagine the set will include what I wish - namely a depot with some storage room and a small office - which is btw since long overdue.
-
I can't imagine that elephants are included in a Jungle Exploration theme. So I'd go either for tigers or gorillas. I fear that'll be gorillas. Fear because we already have got enough monkeys (although not big ones). But a tiger is since long overdue!

Thank you very much for letting us know that there actually will be a new animal mould, Roebuck! It for sure will be only included in the JE sets and maybe in other (City) sets in the future. But for sure not in any CMF series since the biggest animals we got in them were about the size of a dog (a big animal does count like a minifig and so there would be two in a bag).

REVIEW: 71017 LEGO Minifigures - LEGO Batman Movie Series
Klaus-Dieter replied to WhiteFang's topic in LEGO Licensed
Thank you very much for the great review, WhiteFang! Supposably this series is done very well, but 1. I dislike licensed CMF series - esp. when the minifigs are skin-colored because consequently you can't use them for City, Castle, ... 2. So it's now confirmed that TLG raised the price of the CMFs from 3 to 4 Euros by one step. But although it and its accessory are limited - four Euros is much too much! I'm curious to see how they'll sell. And for sure this price will be the one for all future series - even the non-licensed -, am I right? Nevertheless the "swim duck" and the lobster with the printed white dish are excellent accessory which I'll try to get some of. -
That's an amazing MOC, soccerkid6! I esp. like that you built the buildings with an open back in order to that we can gaze at the interior.
-
Excellent MOC, MassEditor! It only would be cool if you took some more pics and showed theme so that we e. g. would know if there was an interior etc.
-
I absolutely second that, The LegoPerson9! A paramedic motorcycle as well as a new whole Hospital theme in general would be really cool! But with CG (which is a medical theme) this year, I regrettably don't see any Hospital theme before 2018 or even 2019.
-
I agree and disagree at the same moment with you, Roebuck. Disagreement because there are actually exclusive parts included in modular buildings which (at least in the first year when released) don't show up in regular sets. Agreement because it would be much more profitable for TLG to use a mould with a new print in not only set. So let's see. But of course I hope that you'll be right. Btw: Do you, too, think that there'll be the wheelchair included in one of the 2017 City summer sets (of course not in the CG and JE subthemes)?

Video Review: Sheriff's Lock Up
Klaus-Dieter replied to TheLunabrick's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Thank you very much for the great review, TheLunabrick! This was / is an amazing set with a good minifigure selection, a decent house with nice interior and a lot of action elements! It's a shame that TLG doesn't bring back the Western theme with that much needed builds like a saloon, a Western train with station, a post office with stage coach and a Western farm (only to name some of the most needed)! At the moment I'm working on a Western layout in which this set as well as all other Western sets will be included. -
Thank you all very much for the pics! The Valentine Scene as well as the Easter Scene are looking brilliant! It was a good decision of TLG to come back with minifig scale and City compatible seasonal sets this year! And I do hope that we'll get some more amazing sets of this kind this year - beach scene, fall scene and Christmas scene would be excellent!

LEGO Star Wars 2017 Pictures and Rumors
Klaus-Dieter replied to Stash2Sixx's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Thank you all very much for the info! The Bounty Hunter set might indeed have potential! I wonder with which vehicle it'll come. Since we know now for sure that there won't be any other regular sold OT set in summer, I really hope for an System scale OT Exclusive - hopefully CC or RBR! -
We really do need some bridges - there could and should be rope bridge pedestrian bridge Venetian style bridge modern car bridge train bridge ancient stone bridge with old lanterns and a statue in the middle luxury car bridge like some of the old bridges in the big eastern cities of the US (like in NY) The particular bridge could even be a set on its own (which is rather unlikely) or it could be a part of a bigger set. In any case there could and should be minifigs, bicycles, cars, boats and accessory included. What do you think?

Thank you very much for the pics, Nexo Bricks and TheLegoPerson9! Brickset loaded up additional small sets: Police Car http://images.brickset.com/sets/images/30352-1.jpg?201701030431 Tractor http://images.brickset.com/sets/images/30353-1.jpg?201701030431 The Police Car as well as the Police Heli are both really bad looking. The Hot Rod looks quite ok. But the Tractor is really excellent! You can use it for a construction site as well as as a small snowplow. Btw: The Nuremberg Toyfair takes place from 1st til 6th of February. So at the latest at that time we should have a clue about which Jungle Exploration sets we'll get, how the new CG sets look like and what the remaining City sets will be. But I hope that we'll get some info even earlier!

Lego Friends 41311 Heartlake Pizzeria 2017 building review
Klaus-Dieter replied to UnicornFunWithToys's topic in LEGO Town
Thank you very much for the great review, Unicorn! The pizzeria does look lovely, but I must admit that its quality could even have been better: - sidewalls inside are much too short (so the room really looks too open) - door has no sticker on it and because of this looks too empty - upstairs no railings on the sides - no steering wheel in the pizza bike - light purple doors in the pizza bike - pizza oven has no door - walls inside (including those with the windows) look to empty (some stickers would be in need there) + stickers look extremely good + exterior looks brilliant + much accessory + great new pizza + great new pizza quarters But all in all it's a nice set for the price you have to pay for it! -
If it was located in the Amazon territory (or something similar to that): Could you imagine that there'll be a propeller plane and some small boats (for transporting the explorers' equipment into the jungle? Which color do you think the vehicles will be - dark red, blue, ...? Who says that they take stuff from the jungle? If it would be a theme - which I bet - with minifigs exploring ancient ruins in the jungle you could even argue that they want to find out something about history.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 17 Rumors and Discussion

I, too, am really disappointed about that we presumably won't get any new Harbor sets! Plus I really do want some new farm stuff, too! I have to disagree. Of course some vehicles are always similar. And the exploration orientation is the same, too. But Vulcanoe Exploration in 2016 as well as the Jungel Exploration then in 2017 are two new, never before seen themes - whereas Arctic and Deep Sea were re-designs. I neither see any drilling in the jungle (for what should they drill there?!) nor any search for animals since this goes to the Friends theme since for many boys only studying animals would be too boring. The only thing I see is exploring some historical ruins - something such as the Amazon Adventurers theme (from the late ninetees), but located nowadays. Well, let's see. In the past TLG was really grasping with giving us City fans new animal moulds. But maybe they use the bear mould and paint it as a tiger, don't you think?

LEGO Star Wars 2017 Pictures and Rumors
Klaus-Dieter replied to Stash2Sixx's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought that the Rebel Hangar turned out to be the A-Wing (because of the same minifigs listed (in the frontpage)). -
LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 17 Rumors and Discussion
Klaus-Dieter replied to Robert8's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Thank you all very much for the information! There will for sure be some great new minifigures. But for my taste there are too many re-designs of figures which imo not necessarily need to be brought back. And some characters are for my taste too generic and already released in regular themes. So instead of another Battle Dwarf I'd have prefered a new princess or knight. And instead of a Hot Dog Seller there should e. g. be a skate scooter guy. Well, we'll see.- 1,421 replies

LEGO Star Wars 2017 Pictures and Rumors
Klaus-Dieter replied to Stash2Sixx's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Thank you all very much for the information! The new A-Wing does really look very well designed. And the small vehicle and the new crew member are nice additions, too. But for 50 Euros it's imo really overpriced! It's very disappointing to see that there won't be any regular sold OT set in summer (apart from perhaps the bounty hunter set) - and that although it's the thirties anniversary of ANH! So I really hope for at least one brilliant huge Exclusive in summer (like e. g. a new Tantive 4 which is since long overdue)! -
It's really a shame that that a friendly and since long signed up nember got banned! Why?!

LEGO Elves 2017 Discussion
Klaus-Dieter replied to Peppermint_M's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Thank you all very much for the information! In principle I'm no Elves fan, but I always like it when there appear new bricks and moulds which can be well used in other themes, too. Therefore I really do like the new 1x1 clapboard piece and the 1x1 round printed tile for a conker. But it's really a shame that TLG changed the in the preliminary pics shown blueberries into regular berries! -
70627 Dragon's Forge Pictorial Review
Klaus-Dieter replied to DuckBricks's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Thank you very much for this great review, legozebra! In general I'm no Ninjago fan. But the blacksmith workshop is really a beauty and will go very well with the Temple of Airjitzu and the Airjitzu Battle Grounds to create a small medieval Asian layout!- 18 replies
