LEGO Ideas: 21310 Old Fishing Store (Fall 2017)
Klaus-Dieter replied to just2good's topic in LEGO Town
Thank you very much for the video and the pic, just2good! That MOC does look really good! Whether I'll buy it or not does depend on how City-compatible it'll be. If it turned out to be a more City-ish set, then yes, but if it was a more some sort of CC styled set, then no. Anyway I find it very positive that TLG the first time releases a non-licensed building in the Ideas theme which even does go with an already existing theme (either City, Creator or CC styled buildings)! Therefore it's the first set that awaked my interest. Klaus-Dieter -
That the next CC styled set will be an "Assembly Square" is good and bad news for regular City fans: It's bad news because consequently it's very unlikely that we'll get a city center (like in 2013 and 2015), too. So we very supposably have to wait for another city square for 2018 (which is btw the 60th birthday of Town/City, so there has to be a very big civilian set in the City theme to celebrate this (like 10184 in 2008)). But it's even good news since this confirms that we'll get that rumored Hospital theme and there's a big chance that the hospital itself will be built in a decent size with a decent interior. Btw: Which Hospital sets do you await? 1. Hospital itself with ambulance and small rescue heli, 2. big rescue heli, 3. ambulance and 4. hospital starter set? In one of these sets there has to be a doctor's car, don't you think? Klaus-Dieter

If I remember correctly, there was a new, smaller slide piece and even a new, small stairs piece - both with an about 90 degree angle. Klaus-Dieter
-
So here's information I can remember: Present Service - very small, about 6x12 big shop with big display - different, already known gifts like letter, card, balloons etc. and pushcart - six studs big van to deliver the gifts - all in all really decent set Outdoor Swimming Bath - bigger, but not better than the last version - too Friendish and too colorful - more smaller pools and even more slides - beach bar, whirlpool, shower, toilet - only nice thing was a big aquarium in the middle Pizzeria - a bit Mediterranean, well designed set in mostly tan - first floor with oven and kitchen stuff - second floor is in principle a balcony with two tables and seats - small, really lovely looking, three-wheeled cabriolet to deliver pizzas Sports Studio - excellent modern style sports studio! - in dark-violet and bright yellow - basketball busket and soccer goal in the front, on the right side entrance with small bar, outside a small climbing wall, on the left side inside possibly some "machines" to train House - completely outstanding ancient villa architectual style! - mainly white with dark-pink and azure accents - Hollywood swing in the front on the left side and big, amazing looking oriel with dining room on the right side - supposably living room on the left side and small kitchen in the middle - second floor with maybe office or children's room on the left side and bathroom or parents' room on the right side; balcony on the right side above the oriel There were several small sets of different subthemes which didn't awake my interest too much. And there was a small subtheme of some kind of dog show. Please don't ask me about more since I dont' remember more - even not about other themes. Everything I remember I already posted in the according topics. Klaus-Dieter

LEGO Ninjago 2017 Discussion
Klaus-Dieter replied to Peppermint_M's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
In principle I've to admit that I really dislike the theme. But in the beginning of the it I bought the small arch practice set. And last year's Temple set was simply to amazing to be able to not buying it! To cut a long story short: I've got no big idea of all that Ninjago stuff and therefore only can confirm following for 2017: One set which awakened my interest was the Dragon Blacksmith Shop: - Ninjago-style, unrealistic, futuristic and colorful dragon - but an imo amazing looking, really big blacksmith shop with one floor with wide roof and doube chimney - open entrance in the middle and on the left as on the right side a very huge round window hole to look inside - building looked like hold in framework There will be of course some other sets with different vehicles, in one that Sensei Wu is a some sort of prison. The enemies are black-red. Klaus-Dieter -
LEGO Collectable Minifigures Future Series Rumours
Klaus-Dieter replied to r4-g9's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I think yellow was shown. But I wouldn't count on that since I could well imagine that they use yellow as a regular prelim color - like even the minifigs. Klaus-Dieter -
It was til May - so the completely first half of next year. Klaus-Dieter

LEGO Star Wars 2017 Pictures and Rumors
Klaus-Dieter replied to Stash2Sixx's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I only can confirm following: Dual of the Fates - Darth Maul, Obi-Wan, Qui-Gon - location about same size and style like this year's Carbon Freezing Chamber, but main colors are black, blue and grey - it shall symbolize the room where they fight and Qui-Gon dies Dessert Skiff - Han, Chewy, Boba, Skiff Guard - only new minifig might be the skiff guard - boring since with minor changes it's exactly the last version Landspeeder - Obi-Wan, Luke, 3PO, Tusken Raider - boring since with minor changes it's exactly the last version - which is really a shame is that there's NO BANTHA INCLUDED!!! The Phantom looked liked a small version of an Imp. Shuttle and Yoda's Starfighter like a dark green version of a regular Jedi Starfighter. The set with Lando wasn't shown there. So either it's a RO set or an Exclusive. All RO sets were only shown as black boxes. I'll post info about Ninjago and Friends very soon (and did already about the City and Creator sets). But I don't remember more; so please even don't ask me for more. Klaus-Dieter -
LEGO Collectable Minifigures Future Series Rumours
Klaus-Dieter replied to r4-g9's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I only can confirm following: Batman CMF Series will be released in January, will have black bags and there'll be 20 different minifigs. CMF Series 17 will be released in May. (So much to wait til then since the own CMFs of Lego are always the best and not their licensed ones!) Klaus-Dieter -
Which this concerns, I'm of another opinion. But well, let's see ... since here is some ... MORE INFORMATION: Police theme: Police Station - looked like a mixture between the police stations of 2011, 2014 and 2016 - seperate, two floors big prison building which blowing-away-function of the front of the second floor - garage with watchtower on it and bridge to the office building - office building is imo the only interesting since it's something new with it being a corner building and is three floors big - six studs wide police racing car, red car for the prisoners, police motorcycle using the new racing motorcycle mold Police Mobile HQ - like all the ones of the previous two decades it's for my taste much too long and too wide - truck style - trailer consists of prison cell, main area with computers and a storage room - red quad for the prisoners, new racing molded police motorcycle Police Chase - very average - (I think) dark red six studs wide cabriolet for the prisoner - six studs wide police car - police helicopter - barrier Police Service Truck Heist - red service truck looking similar to the orange one in the 2012 Garage, but six studs wide - safe which is taken away by the truck (how wired since there isn't any location included where it can be taken from!) - two different police motorcycles Police Starter Set - cool small set with four minifigs - nice automatic teller with blowing-up function - very long, but very small, open police car with some sort of dog cage Police Quad (- no gangster squad!) - imo looking much better than the last versions - policeman, prisoner with pushcart Money Transporter - version looked very prelim - vehicles reminded me of the 2014 prison transporter Bank Robbery - only on 16x8 built, but interior of 14x6 big being bank building in tan, but in an imo amazing architectual style with small grey pillars in front of both floors and even some decoration on the roof (will fit very well next to the Lego Store) - first floor: automatic teller outside and (supposably) two chairs and a counter inside, second floor: safe room with extra gate door (which I really like) and a big safe which can be pulled out of the wall - no City Bank chained bank, but green labeled "Bank" only - useless, small police helicopter - big police vehicle (which was only shown as the one in the museum heist from 2013, so can't say anything about it) - middle-sized red-grey bulldozer for taking away the safe out of the wall with a chain, but vehicle looked really good and can be well used for a construction side and / or as addition to the Digger And Truck in the Great Vehicles theme Great Vehicles theme: Sports Plane - nothing new, but looked very similar in style and color like the one from 2013 - two sorts of buoy (for placing in water) Monster Truck - very similar to the 2014 one - but in orange-white-black Pickup With Quads - six, in the back even eight studs wide pickup hold in black-grey-wide with place for one quad in the back (imo the pickup is really too wide) - grey trailer for another quad - two very nicely designed, regular sized and colorful quads Transporter With Catamaran - SUV very similar to the one in the SUV & Jetskis set from 2014, but in grey-green-white - big, grey trailer - extremely huge white-blue catamaran (about 10x14) with a new (?), large sail, but in total looking really good Dragster Transporter - transporter looking similar to the training space shuttle transporter from last year, but main colors are mainly grey and dark blue - dragster and trailer for it are extremely huge - racing signal lights - new torsos and printed helmet were looking extremely well designed Beach Buggy - wider and longer than last year's version - more closed character with colors red - white - blue - driver is the one minifigure shown in the middle of the box art of the fising boat Digger With Truck - digger similar looking to the one in teh 2009 construction site, but with regular wheels - truck similar to the one seperate set of the demolation site from last year, but without crane and mainly in blue - a huge "brush" consisting of two regular "brushes" (for street sweeping) put together (about 12 studs wide in total) can be attached to the front of the truck - possibly a trailer for the digger to be transported Pizza Van - totally adorable van in yellow with a bit dark red - opening hatch on the side to sell the pizzas - bistro table and red moped, supposable even new 1x1 pizza 1/4 piece Which surprised me a lot was that there actually is no other additional theme like we had it in the past years. But since legomilk informed us about that in 2017 there'll be "more boats" and "ambulance", I'd see it as fact that the two summer themes will be Harbor and Hospital. Which imo would be not only since long overdue but even really cool. I'll post info about Friends, Ninjago, SW and CMF very soon. I don't remember more; so please even don't ask me about more. Klaus-Dieter

Well, let's see ... here is some ... MORE INFORMATION: Beach Hut - looked very similar to the beach hut last (?) year, but in blue colors - it's set up on wooden pillars (like lake dwelling) - one part on the beach (sand) and one part already in the sea - small brick-built palm and a brick-built turtle - a hammock and a jetski - female and male minifig City House - looked absolutely stunning for a Creator set of this type! - old London style town building in mainly tan - an indication of an cellar - left part of the building with only one floor which is the entrance with stairs to it and a small window on the left side - right part is two floors big and seemed deeper than the buildings we've seen so far (I think about the same deepness like the regular City sets - so about 6 studs wide) and has a big white oriel on both floors (in principle it's one big going over both floors) and black fire escapes to the very right side - small tree with street lantern, street signs and bench - red moped - woman und man Plus there'll be a sea plane and several smaller sets which I regrettably don't remember. I'll post info about the City, Friends, SW, Ninjago and CMF very soon, too. Other info I regrettably don't remember; so please even don't ask me about it. Klaus-Dieter

(If I remember correctly) I haven't written down the following wish which imo would be an amazing addition to our harbors: Dockyard - "dry dock" for building together a ship - giant doors at one side to open the "dry dock" in order to let the ship down to water - two big cranes - office building with two floors: first floor with small garage and storage room for tolls, second floor with desk, wrting table, computers and telephone; stairs outside to get into the second floor - big ship hole - ship's engine - different, unfinished parts of a ship to put it together - truck to transport parts of ships - accessory: many different tools, welding equipment, smartphone - minifigures: six dockyard workers What do you think? Complete agreement here, cosmolon! The more different food and drinks chains or stalls or restaurant we get, the better! I completely agree with you, -zenn! But beeing honest, I fear that these ideas will never happen because of the Friends theme in which a family house is being released every about two years. Klaus-Dieter
-
I completely agree with you, Justin! A hamburger chain - something like the coffee chain, but with a a bit bigger building - would be really cool! Klaus-Dieter

Hello everybody! Since 2014 we’re getting a Creator City House every year, since last year it’s always in January that this set is released. We had so far 31026 Bicycle Shop & Café (2014), 31036 Toy Shop & Grocery (2015), 31060 Corner Deli (2016). And imo these are great sets which offer us amazing civilian buildings with two floors which are City-compatible and therefore fit very well in our Lego City cities, too. It would be really a shame if TLG stopped releasing more of these sets in the future. I personally would even like it if TLG released not only one set but two every year – one like before in January and one in summer. 40166 Legoland Train compatible with 4621929 tracks?
Klaus-Dieter replied to Klaus-Dieter's topic in LEGO Train Tech
Thank you very much for the information and the advice, dr_spock! So I will order eight tracks of this kind and then let you know. But that will still take some time. Klaus-Dieter -
Hello everybody! Today I've got a question: I was at the Legoland Germany yesterday and bought there the nice looking 40166 Legoland Train (http://brickset.com/parts/4621929). Today I thought that it would be nice to run it (like a push-along train) on a track. I thought of http://brickset.com/parts/4621929. Does someone know whether the train runs on this track - or can imagine if (after e. g. having had a look at the instruction online) - without modifying it? If not, can someone think of a track alternative? Klaus-Dieter

lol, very funny, like it I also liking the sound of the sets which link to boats, hopefully a harbour in the second half of the year 1. It depends on whether the "ambulance" legomilk mentioned will be only one set - namely an ambulance in the Great Vehicles theme - or even a whole theme. A Hospital theme namely which for sure would offer a helicopter. Independent from that there for sure will be minimum one theme / set in summer which includes a heli - at least the histroy of the last years shows that. 2. I really hope that there'll be a whole Harbor theme in summer. And I even would be surprise if there won't be any; the last harbor we got was back in 2011! Klaus-Dieter

LEGO Star Wars 2017 Pictures and Rumors
Klaus-Dieter replied to Stash2Sixx's topic in LEGO Star Wars
No Yoda's Hut. Too bad! But being realistic, for kids this only location does supposably not offer enough playability and action. So if TLG release a new Yoda's Hut at any time - which I really do hope - then I bet it can only come in a set together with an X-Wing. Klaus-Dieter -
[PRESS RELEASE] Announcing 10254 Winter Holiday Train
Klaus-Dieter replied to Jim's topic in LEGO Town
Thank you very much for the press release, Jim! There are still some things to critisize. But having now seen the video and the official pics, I must admit that all in all the Winter Train does look really lovely and fitting very well in the Winter Village. And since it'll be PF compatible, I'll buy one. If only bricklink or Ebay then would offer that caboose seperately for a reasonable price since definately minimum three of them are needed to have a realistic looking winter train! ... Klaus-Dieter -
So you think that the pizza van will be a mobile stall selling pizza? I thought more about a small truck from City Pizza delivering pizza ... Klaus-Dieter
-
I bet that the prices will be like in previous years: City House - 35 Euros Beach House - 25 Euros Klaus-Dieter
-
Thank you very much for this information, CM4Sci! I'm really glad that TLG returns with a new Sports theme! And having seen the pictures of the Speed Champions sets of 2015 and 2016, I'm quite optimistic that Sports sets would be about the same quality - not only the sports itself, but even some location and additional stuff to make it more attractive. It's only a pity that this theme will firstly come in summer! Some ice hockey, skiing or snowboarding scene namely would have gone very well with my Winter Village diorama! I highly doubt that there will be swimming since it would require a big swimming bath - and I regrettably can't imagine TLG releasing. But basketball and football are surely represented. And I even would be surprised if we didn't see ice hockey, skiing and snowboarding, too. A new skatepark would be the thing I'd be the most interested in. Klaus-Dieter
-
Thank you very much for the information so far, CM4Sci! Well, imo "city house" does only mean that the house is located in the city (and not at the beach etc.) and not whether it's a house with a shop, an apartment, an office etc. Klaus-Dieter
-
Thank you very much for the sets list, CM4Sci! A swimming bath for 50 Euros can't be that well designed, I fear. But pizzeria and another house are very welcome! The gym might be a nice idea - depending on its outcome. Do you think that it'll be a fitness center or really a gym for training sport groups and classes? Klaus-Dieter
-
Thank you very much for the sets list, CM4Sci! There do seem to be some amazing sets! I'm mainly really excited about the bank themed sets, the street sweaper and truck, the fishing boat and the pizza van! More nautical and urban stuff is always welcome since these are the City subthemes I like the most (harbor and downtown)! It's only a pity that there's still no TV broadcast van and no pisten bully yet! Do you have got any clue what a service truck (heist) shall be? Do you mean that there actually will be more sets coming out in the 1st half of 2017 and that you only dont' have got the set names and numbers of them - or do you mean that the ambulance won't be part of the 1st half of 2017 City lineup? Klaus-Dieter
