  1. It did never started. It was only a logical thought of myself. Since there hasn't been any new Harbor theme since 2011. But Airport got 2010, 2013 and 2016 sets. So a new Harbor theme is really overdue! Plus there is the new container piece (used in one Fire and one Police set in 2016).
  2. Thank you very much for this great review, Unicorn! That new villa is indeed brilliant: - no refridgerator in the kitchen - bed in the bedroom fits only one person - glas door to the balcony hasn't the artistic painting like the windows + very nice and detailed interior + new artistic painted window + oriel with balcony on top + not too much girlish colors used + extra office room + ancient architectual design I can't await to get this set!
  3. Thank you very much for this information and the video, LegoRomania! So a Jungle Explorians theme for summer 2017 - that does sound promising! And it even is for sure based on present vehicles (the outfit of the explorian and the city silhouette in the background indicates that). Do you think that there will be ancient temples to explore? And how high do you rate the chance that we'll get some new animal (molds) - like a tiger or some new birds? I could well imagine following sets: - Jungle Explorians Starter Set - JE jeep - JE helicopiter and a small vehicle - JE ancient temple with a small truck and another vehicle. What do you think? Since with JE there will be 10 non-CG sets next summer, consequently the question is: Will there be a a Harbor theme nevertheless (I do hope so much!!!) (JE and Harbor each five sets)? Or will the JE theme be bigger than five sets and then there'll be about two civilian sets (like some shops etc.)?
  4. Thank you all very much for posting pictures, reviews and links! Not absolutely odd: In general you're right that money, jewels and gold etc. are transported by private security companies in their vans. But at least here in Germany it's the case that large amounts of new printed banknotes are transported from the print office to huge banks by special and armored police trucks: And imo - aside from that it's a bit too small, missing car doors and weird safes on the outside of the van - the money transfer does really look cool! Btw: The massive police car in the bank robbery set seems to be designed after the following new, armored special vehicle for police forces: I really do like the car in Lego, too - it only disturbs that there are no blue lights and mainly no blue stripe or "Police" sticker in the back (big, plain white car doors do look bad)! Police money transfer, armored police car and police auto transport - these are really amazing vehicles which bring some variety in the otherwise sucked dry Police theme! Plus I really like special vehicles in all City subthemes! Keep on releasing more of these great sets, TLG!
  5. Thank you very much for posting pictures of the Police sets, Parmbricks, and for the link to the Great Vehicles pictures, Yeow! I'll comment more detailed firstly after we'll have gotten more detailes pictures. But for now, I can say following: The Police Station, the Police Starter Set and the Police High-speed Chase are huge let-downs. The Sports Plane and the Mobile Command Center aren't overwhelming but ok. The Tow Truck Trouble looks much better than I would have awaited and does make a cool set - as well as the Police ATV, the Buggy, the Stunt Truck, the ATV Race Team, the 4x4 with Catamaran and the Dragster Transporter. But really stunning are the Fishing Boat, the Sweeper & Excavator, the Pizza Van, the Bulldozer Break-In and the Auto Transport Heist. I'm really looking forward to buy the one or other set! Plus I'm really excited about which non-CG themes and sets we'll acutally get in summer! That's really a pity that you lost your source, legomilk! I could well imagine that there will be one exclusive City train in 2017 - a track repair train or an elevated train. But it's even possible that there'll be none. For sure there won't be more than one train since in 2018 there will be the next big City Trains theme (evey four years: 2006 - 2010 - 2014 - 2018). Klaus-Dieter
  6. I 100%ly agree with you, sebitsena! A new market place and some sort of medieval farm are a must! And a huge (200-300 Euros) Castle with decent rooms and great interior would be a dream for me, too! Plus there finally should be a decent battering ram and even more a decent siege tower! I'm really surprised that TLG didn't relase any set in the past decade with these contents since they offer a lot of action and playability. And some forestmen - if designed realistic like in the original themes (Forestmen and Dark Forest) - would be highly welcome, too! Klaus-Dieter
  7. I totally agree in the Sheriff's Lockup, The lego fan! But that TLG will re-introduce the old horse moulds is absolutely unrealistic since otherwise they wouldn't have designed the new, more realistic looking and more playable ones. Klaus-Dieter
  8. Excellent MOC and building technic, Micheal Kalkwarf! The only thing I miss is a hall - e. g. with prison and kitchen on the first floor, a huge hall on the second floor and a bedroom on the third floor. Of course I voted for both models on Ideas. Klaus-Dieter
  9. I'm too. But I bet that there'll be a huge building like we did have now nearly every year. A disco, museum or theatre would be really cool. Plus I'm excited about whether TLG will release some huge Friends Exclusive because of the fifth birthday of the Friends theme - e. g. something like a city center of HLC. The pics of the winter wave will be for sure at the latest be published in December (before the release of the sets). But I could even very well imagine that we'll already see them in mid November. Klaus-Dieter
  10. Thank you very much for the press release, Rick! Like all the previous ones this one - and esp. this one - looks brilliant! It's only really a pity that the backwalls are closed since this means for me no compatibiltiy with regular City sets and consequently no buy of this set! Klaus-Dieter
  11. Since this and last year TLG offers / offered us namely nice, but regrettably non-Winter-Village-compatible Holiday giveaways, here are some of my wishes for more Holiday giveaways as add-ons to the WV: Punch Stall - stall in the size of the ones included in 10235 - accessory: huge pot (to cook punch), dipper, two cups, bistro table, "5"-coin - minifigures: male vendor, female customer Holiday Decorations Stall - stall in the size of the ones included in 10235 - accessory: different brick-built decorations (for decorating windows and trees), "100"-banknote - minifigures: female vendor, boy Feeding Of Game Animals - feeding "station" - brick-built tree with snow on it - reindeer (prefered molded, but could be brick-built, too) - accessory: "straw bricks", two carrots, snow owl - minifig: lumberjack Forester's Car - dark-green pick-up with hatch - accessory: shovel, motor saw - minifig: forester Holiday Taxi - black, ancient-styled taxi - brick-built and decorated red "taxi" sign with telephone (to telephone that taxi) - accessory: suitcase, camera - minifigs: male taxi driver, female passenger What do you think and would additionally like? Klaus-Dieter
  12. Thank you all very much for the news! I completely agree with you, Blackpool! We shouldn't be ungrateful; of course it's a very nice thing that TLG offers us some nice and exclusive sets for free. But I, too, wish that TLG would instead release small Winter Village add-ons in the future - like they did 2011-2013. These were namely excellent, small sets which fit perfect in our Winter Villages! Therefore it's for sure no fault to write down our wishes for WV giveaways at: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?/topic/32321-ideas-for-10199-winter-toy-shop-add-ons/&page=1 Klaus-Dieter
  13. That's a very interesting topic, Itaria No Shintaku! Like the majority I voted for NO, regrettably not. Nexo Knights is like Knight's Kingdoms 2 and Fantasy Area a dispraise of the Castle theme. Nothing in there has to do anything with middle age and knights. It's pure, senseless, brainless and horrible action stuff. But at the moment that seems to be hip at many kids because they do the same games on their computers, smartphones etc. I wouldn't say that there never will be again that a glorious Castle theme like Kingdoms (2010-2011/12). Since it was released after the Fantasy Area, too. But we for sure have to wait minium til 2018/2019 when consumers will be tired of Nexo Knights and when TLG will run of profitable ideas for that theme. Klaus-Dieter
  14. That's a very impressive layout, Murdoch17! I really would like to see it not only designed digitally, but even built up in real life! Btw: Already since a longer time I'm building up a Western layout, too. But only with the sets from 1996/97 and some Lone Ranger stuff, too. When the layout is complete, I'll start a topic and will show it. But that will for sure take minimum about one month (it's 6x7 32x32 plates huge). Klaus-Dieter
  15. That's a very interesting topic, Legoman123! As a big Western fan I really, really hope that TLG will soon bring back this theme!!! And there are even a lot of aspects which speak for a new Western theme: + Today there are so many new, great molds and colors that it would be much easier to design amazing and realistic looking Western sets than two decades ago. + That we get a Western minifigure in on adverage every second CMF series is a clear sign that TLG knows that their consumers like Western; otherwise they'd choose figs form other "themes". + The always emerging discussion that there won't be a new Western theme because of the conflict cowboys vs. Indians (which is indeed and without doubts a dark part in the history) is imo - sorry - megablocks. I mean: TLG would never release sets which show a conflict between these two groups. And what a kid plays is always its own decision and fantasy - independent from sets and set contents which are sold. + That kids aren't interested in Western is completely wrong. Or how do you explain with that that Playmobil every now and then releases Western sets (Wild West and Indians) - and this even outside America?! + Today many kids do only want sets when they offer much playability and many action elements. A Western theme is (apart from Sci themes) the theme which offers the most of them - much weaponry, blowing-up walls, trap doors, secret hiding places, real functioning canons, ... - even more action stuff than in a Pirates or Castle theme possible. + With the line of Exclusives growing from year to year, Western not necessarily has to get an own theme, but it would even be possible to release some huge, exclusive sets (if TLG thought that they wouldn't sell that well as non-Exclusives). Regrettably there are even some aspects which speak against a new Western theme: - The Lone Ranger theme failed because the movie was really bad quality and the sets were - because of the license - too expensive and too specific. So TLG might see this as an disclaimer of an WW theme. - In 2002, some of the Western sets were re-released. From what I know (correct me if I am wrong) the sets weren't sold that well. This could for TLG be a sign that perple aren't into Western, too. But the "problem" was supposably rather that this were exactly the sets from 1996/97 without any changes - and 1996/97 at that time wasn't enough too far away in the past. - It's now two decades ago that there hasn't been any new, non-licensed Western theme. So - honestly said - I'm regrettably very pessimistic about that we'll get any new one anywhere in the future. - In 2009, The Brickster and I run a petition about which locations, minifigs and animals a new Western theme should include. A report was written and The Brickster gave it to TLG. But I haven't been hearing any positive or at least more detailed feedback til now. Imo a clear sign that TLG isn't considering to bring back the Wild West theme. So, in order to get new Western sets, the best is to talk about this theme, to post set ideas, to build and show Western MOCs and to even publish them on the Lego Ideas page. Btw: If you had some ideas for new Wild West sets or wanted only to view which ideas already have been posted yet, don't hesitate to visit "Ideas for new sets (Wild West): http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?/topic/9151-ideas-for-new-setswild-west/#comment-151266 Klaus-Dieter
  16. Starter Sets are a very well sold type of sets today because they offer four minifigs and a lot of accessory for a good price. So after a long time and to reanimate this topic, here are two new ideas: Indians Starter Set (10 Euros) - small waterfall - green bush - brown horse - minifigs: chief, medicine man, two warriors - accessory: black saddle, lances, tomahawks, two bucklers, colorful bird Goodies Vs Badies Starter Set (10 Euros) - green, brick-built cactus - brick-built signpost - black horse - minifigs: sheriff, sheriff's debuty, bandit, bandits' boss - accessory: brown saddle, revolvers, guns, "wanted"-paper, vulture What do you think? Klaus-Dieter
  17. I completely agree with you on the newspaper shop, Venunder! If a tourist bus and some monument was included in this set, too - like the set ideas I wrote on page 35 -, it would be perfect! And complete agreement about the delivery cars, too! There was the Lego delivery truck last year and there'll be a gift delivering truck in the Friends theme next year. But what I'm really missing is a proper postal van to deliver the "normal" packets to the recipients. Klaus-Dieter
  18. Theoretically yes. The problem with a hospital and even more with a "whole" hospital theme is that it would concurate with the CG theme because both is emergency stuff. Many people would either buy these are those sets (or parts from here and there). That's even the reason why TLG doesn't / didn't release Harbor and Airport the same year or Arctic and Deep Sea Exploration or regular Police and Swamp Police. Klaus-Dieter
  19. Thank you very much for the list, amazingbricks! I completely agree with you, Soupperson1! Regrettably we haven't got any clue yet which sets / subthemes and Exclusives we can await. A flower shop or a market garden are since long overdue, same like an opera / theatre, a real ice-cream parlor and some more shops. I'm excited if one of these will made it. Klaus-Dieter
  20. Thank you very much for this information, CM4Sci! Oh no! Not again Coast Guard! We had that theme already in 2013. And there are so many great ideas we've posted for a hospital or a mountain rescue theme (which partly would be even completely new and the rest at least a long time not seen)! Plus there are so many non-medical themes which haven't be there for a very long while (e. g. farm) or which have even never been there before (e. g. forest)! With this decision the hospital theme - and not unsupposably even only a hospital itself - is dead for minimum 2017-2018. I guess that legomilk's info about an ambulance now has to be rephrased into CG. The only set in which I might be interested in would be a coast guard station since there hasn't been a decent one since the mid-90s. And six sets means supposably: 1. CG jetski and surfer to rescue, 2. CG starter set, 3. CG car with small boat, 4. CG heli with small boat to rescue, 5. big CG boat with small boat to rescue, 6. possbily a CG station with some smaller boats and a car. 60169 very supposably will be the yearly advent calendar and 60143 a small exclusive Police set. That leaves room for 10 more sets. Maybe one or two Exclusives? So there could be another whole theme with 6 sets - hopefully Harbor - and additionally two civilian sets? Klaus-Dieter
  21. A bank is what we'll get already in January. But I agree with all other items - esp. the shopping street, the family home and the bendy bus. Although I have to admit that a city tour (meaning sightseeing) bus and a bouble decker bus are in my prioritees higher than a bendy bus. Klaus-Dieter
  22. With the Grand Hotel being fantastic for our cities, I very much would like to get a Hotel Maritime for our beaches: Hotel Maritime - hotel in about the same size like the Grand Hotel from 2015, but in contrast to it in a very modern glas-concrete-construction - first floor: bar with chairs on the left side, huge aquarium in the middle and entrance with reception on the right side - second floor: king's suite with bathroom (toilet, basin and whirlpool), bedroom (canopy bed, chest of drawers and chair) and living room (couch, huge TV, small table and armchair) - big swimming pool with beach bar with chairs, brick-built palms and deck chairs (- landing stage with small motor boat) - accessory: tumblers, cups, different food pieces, suitcases What do you think? Klaus-Dieter
  23. Here are some completely new ideas: Toy Museum (could even be released in the Winter Village theme) - a two floors big house in ancient architectual style similar to the town hall from 10184, but in dark red with light grey stripes - first floor: cashpoint with bistro and museum shop included on the left side, entrance with stairs in the middle and exhibition of ancient toys (teddys, tin soldiers, ...) on the right side - second floor: two puppy houses on the left side, huge model train display (at the best with a model train functioning the same way like in 10254) in the middle and Lego sets on the right side - accessory: many molded and brick-built toys, two banknotes, two cups, chocolate, ice-cream - minifigs: female museum worker, mother, father, son, daughter Helicrane Building Up A Wind Power Plant - helicrane very similar to the one from the 2014 Arctic theme, but with wheels instead of skids - Octan wind power plant in about the size of the one from 2009, but divided up into parts (in order to transport them with the helicrane) - jeep with car doors and rear door - brick-built tree - accessory: a huge variety of tools, radio set, cup, extra wheel (for the jeep), plan (for building up the wind power plant) - minifigs: female helicrane pilot, female wanderer, two male workers Solar Car - small civilian car with solar panels on top - accessory: shopping basket, red apple, trans-blue bottle, smartphone - minifig: female car driver Solar Plane - small plane with solar panels on the cockpit and the wings - radar equipment on a huge pillar - accessory: different tools, radio set - minifigs: female pilot, male mechanic What do you think? Klaus-Dieter
  24. I'm still dreaming of an elevated train. This isn't a new idea, but new is what I thought about following: - train similar to all latest passenger trains (but in a new color like orange or green or blue), maybe even without the passenger wagon in the middle + PF-stuff + tracks for one circle + four straight tracks = maximum 120 Euros (like the passenger train from 2014) - additional minifigures = 10 Euros - pillars to elevate the tracks = 20 Euro - two train stops and a snackbar = 30 Euros That makes 180 Euros in total which isn't more than the cargo train from 2014. So I don't see any reason why TLG shouldn't release an elevated train (e. g. as a City Exclusive) since it wouldn't require any new bricks and pieces. Although I never owned the Sail N Fly Marina set, I always admired this set, too. And I really do hope that TLG releases something similar to it in 2017 with the new Harbor theme! Klaus-Dieter
  25. Hospital ("ambulance") and Harbor ("more boats") will be summer 2017 releases (legomilk posted "..." and he is an absolutely reliable source). That we get only two themes in the first half of 2017 (Police and Great Vehicles) is for me a clear sign that the summer wave will be huge and costly. I know that it's very early for this, but in contrast to a new Creator train, which is imo absolutely unlikely since we got the Winter Train firstly in 2016, I could well see an exclusive City train (e. g. a track repair train or an elevated train - I'm still dreaming). Klaus-Dieter
