  1. Thank you very much for the picture and the link, CM4Sci! In contrast to the majority of opinions already posted here, I have to say that I really dislike this set! Exactly. Pro: + nice exterior design + toy machine Con: - too expensive for what you get and how it looks like - the idea of a Santa's Workshop at all - too kitschy - doesn't fit inside a Winter Village since it's unrealistic with that elves - rein-deers are brick-built - no place inside to put the toy machine somewhere - nearly no interior If the set at least included a nice interior (a small kitchen for Santa's wife to bake the cookies and a huge table for Santa) then there would be the chance that I'd buy this set. But since this isn't the case, I won't buy this set. And that is really disappointing since the Winter set is the set every year I'm always the most looking forward to! Let's hope that next year's Winter Village set will be a lot better that this one! Klaus-Dieter
  2. Thank you very much for the picture of the whole series, AyliffeMakit! Series 12 is imo one of the best series so far! The most I like the princess (excellent head gear!), the jester, the video gamer and the rock star. What I'm a bit disappointed about is that the hun warrior has a winter outfit. And that the lifeguard has pants with a lifeguard sign on it - so you sadly can't use the pants for a regular bather. But all in all: amazing series! Klaus-Dieter
  3. Some ideas: 60069 Water Police might either be a huge police ship oder - more likey - a water police station. 60083 Snowblower won't be an airport set - otherwise it would have it already in its name (this year's fire truck was called "Airport Fire Truck"). So I bet it's a regular snow plow. 60088 Fire Starter Kit might include a regular fire truck (without ladder). And of course something burning and two minifigs. But what else? 60073 Truck breakdown might be a big truck with a huge container on it where you can put all the parts of the demolated house in. What do you think? Klaus-Dieter
  4. Thank you very much for this information, just2good! I'm really surprised to see that we'll get another Police subtheme - it seems like Water Police. In principle that makes sense since we very supposably will get a new harbor theme in summer 2015. (2017-2011-2015). I'm curious which third theme we'll get. I bet for a construction site (the last one was released in 2009 and the mining theme was in 2012). Nevertheless I hope that we'll get some Great Vehicles and even some exclusive civilian set(s), too. Otherwise City is really getting a boring theme for me although it's in principle the one I like the most. Klaus-Dieter
  5. Thank you all very much for the pictures, links and information! After 1-2 series finally again a "normal" Minifigures Series! The list sounds really promising and the pics we've gotten so far look great, too! Space Miner No interest. Wizzard Nice design. He looks more - like others already mentioned - from a fairy tale. Dino Research Woman I'm really disappointed about this figure since it's fantasy styled. I in contrast hoped for a scientific with a magnifier and a dino's footstep in cement. Battle Godness  Simply perfect! Swashbuckler Nice design, but nothing that attractive. Video Game Guy Great design with the two-colors-sweat. I hope that there'll be a printed hoody on the back. I'm excited how the other minifigs will look like! Klaus-Dieter
  6. That's a great MOC, macsergey! The container garbage truck looks very realistic. It's only a pity that it's not six studs wide because this would go much better with the official cars. I really hope that TLG will release in the next years exactly a truck like the one you built because every bigger city needs garbage containers and a truck to transport them! Klaus-Dieter
  7. Thank you all very much for the pics, the links and the information! Having taken a closer look at all the ice sets, I decided to finally not buy any of these sets. The reason is not only that I only have very few space left (so this has to be kept for only nearly 100% perfect sets), but even because the interior of the vehicles and buildings is really lame (too few and too small and nearly no chairs). That's really a shame because the exterior of the buildings looks great and very realistic. Klaus-Dieter
  8. This is an excellent MOCset, Yooha! I really like the design as well as the funcitonality as well as the playability. It's only a pity that it's too hard to add any mechanism to this attraction so that the cars could really move. So I'm sure TLG will sadly never release a set like this. Klaus-Dieter
  9. Thank you very much for this information and the pics, Rick! The Fairground Mixer is simply stunning! Con: - ticket stand without roof - dunk tank looks a bit like a MOC - no real bell at the high striker but only a round golden plate - price (of course there are many pieces in this set, but to me it more looks like 100-120 Euros) - no new minifigure torso Pro: + accuracy of the fairground mixer + glow-in-the-dark-elements + 12 minifigures + bed inside the Mixer truck + a lot of accessory + all stands and the Fairground Mixer have place on two trucks (firstly this adds additional playability, secondly you need much less place to store the set) + functions of the high striker and the dunk tank I really hope that this set won't be a stand-alone set, but that there will be a Fairground set every year in the next years (like with the Winter sets)! Klaus-Dieter
  10. The Fairground Mixer is that a stunning set that I hope it won't be a stand-alone set but that - like with the Winter Toy Shop and the Winter theme - there will follow some Fairground sets in the next years, too! So we would be aible to set up a whole fairground - that would be amazing! I really like this idea, HomerJSimpson! For sure a ferris wheel and a candy stall where cotton candy is sold have to be part of a fairground! Plus we need a shooting gallery and a sausage stand. Like nesquik already described, there is a huge difference between the Grand Carousel and the Fairground Mixer - the first one is only to place somewhere on a cupboard or so and the second one is to play with. So a new carousel would be absolutely necessary. Besides the Grand Carousel was released years ago. And those who didn't buy it at that time (like me) can not afford to buy it completely overpriced somewhere on ebay. Klaus-Dieter
  11. Three new ideas: Teens' Go-Cart Race (30 Euros) a green-red-white (Octan) go-cart, a lime-green go-cart and a light blue go-cart accessory: flags, barriers, traffic lights, red helmet, black helmet, blue helmet minifigures: two boys and a girl Jungle Rafting (20 Euros) a boat, a small rock with plants accessory: three paddles, camera, binoculars, ice-cream, crocodile minifigures: mum, dad, son Jungle Expedition Car (10 Euros) dark-red jeep with cable winch and boot with boot lid accessory: shovel, pick-axe, camcorder, backpack, monkey minifigure: adventurer The only thing is that I fear that a double decker bus would be much to tall - esp. when you put it in front of one of the official City buildings. I completey agree with you, jonwil! Complete agreement here, too! Respective a minifigure pack: A set like this would only make sense if it included minifigures which don't appear in the regular released sets. I remember that there was a City minifigure pack released back in 2009. Unluckily firstly TLG did include a police officer (of which we get enough in the regular police sets), secondly there were only minifigures included which we did see in the regular sets, too, and thirdly that has been the only set in the last two decades of this sort. Klaus-Dieter
  12. Thank you very much for this information, just2good! Nevertheless I hope that this information is wrong! The winter sets so far have been sets you can add to a winter village everywhere around the world. I personally would really dislike it if the Winter theme gets that an anglo-american touch with a Santa workshop. There are that many winter sets which TLC hasn't released so far (candy shop, piste, general store, train station, winter train - only to mention some), so there is really no need for that a set! Complete opposite here! If the house doesn't look nice from the exterior and doesn't include a nice and decent interior, this will - because or the reasons mentioned above - be the first Winter set I won't buy. Klaus-Dieter
  13. I really like the Great Vehicles TLG has been releasing in the last year. And so I even hope that TLG will continue with releasing more sets of this line in the future. So here are some new ideas for the Great Vehicles theme I'd really like to get: 10-Euros-category (small sets): Skier's Car black, 4-wide car with car doors accessory: white roof coffin, 2 skis, 2 ski sticks, helmet with snow gloves minfigure: male skier Gardener's Pick-Up red, 4-wide pick-up with car doors and a hatch behind the 4x4 loading platform accessory: pushcart, flowers, shovel, garden gnome microfigure minifigure: female gardener Cycler's Car green, 4-wide car with car doors accessory: yellow bicycle, cycle helmet, banana minifigures: female cycler Private Helicopter yellow, small helicopter with winch accessory: 4x4 palette, 2 barrels minifigure: male pilot Surfer's Car red, 4-wide car with car doors accessory: surfboard with sail, life jacket, mobile phone minifigure: male surfer Small Road Sweeper orange, 4-wide road sweepr in "Multicar" syte with car doors accessory: shovel, brush minifigure: female street sweaper 20-Euros-category (medium-sized sets): Mountain Rescue Service ATV With Snowmobile white-blue-red, 6-wide atv with car doors and boot lid trailer with hatch, red snowmobile fitting two minifigures accessory: ice pick, rope, rucksack, wireless translitting set, 2 snow shoes / skis, first-aid suitcase minifigures: female moutain rescuer, male mountain rescuer Baker's Car tan-white, 6-wide van with car doors, door in the back and big hatch on the side (to sell goods), inside with cashpoint and counter accessory: 2 2x2x2 boxes, 2 pretzels, croissant, 2 baguettes, 2 cookies, several brick-built cakes and breads minifigures: female seller, girl Community Works Van orange, 6-wide van with car doors and open loading platform with hatch small fountain, tree accessory: pushcart, dustbin, shovel, brush, toy boat minifigures: male worker, girl Familiy Van dark brown, 6-wide van (fitting 3 minifigures) with car doors and boot lid accessory: ice-cream, baby buggy, baby daughter microfigure minifigures: mum, dad, son Carpenters' Van black, 6-wide car with car doors and elevated boot with two doors in the back accessory: workbench, 2 2x3x3 cupboards, tools, saw, buzz saw, wood pieces minifigures: male carpenter, female apprentice Glazier's Truck blue, 6-wide truck with car doors and open loading platform with hatch accessory: tablet computer, framework, different types and sizes of windows minifigure: male glazier 30-Euros-category (big sets): Furniture Truck tan, 6-wide truck with car doors, closed loading platform and a hydraulic platform in the back (to elevate the furniture inside the truck) accessory: couch, armchair, table, standard-lamp, barrow, 2 3x3x2 boxes, dishes minifigures: female furniture remover, male furniture remover Milk Truck (not a new idea, but with new additional stuff included) white, 6-wide milk truck with car doors white, round, high milk tank with hardware at its bottom white milking parlor accessory: bucket, cow minifigures: female farmer, male truck driver Mobile Stage black-pearl gold, 6-wide semitrailer with car doors black-pearl gold, closed 6/8-wide trailer with door in the back and big hatch on the side (to open the stage) accessory: 2 loud speakers, 2 colorful floodlights with pillars, drumset, e-guitar, 2 microphones with pillars minifigures: male drummer, female e-guitar player What do you think? Klaus-Dieter
  14. Thank you very much for these pictures, eiker86! The ice-breaker and the arctic plane both are really  ! Independant from whether I'll buy the whole line or not, I for sure will buy the ice-breaker since it fits very well in the harbor / sea theme in general. And I fear that I can't resist to buy the arctic plane, too, because of its "door" on the backside and the small snow plow with trailer included. Let's hope the the plane's cargo department this time will be much bigger (than the one in the heliplane). It's strange that I like the base camp (which is the main set of the theme) - the less and all other sets much more. For sure because the building in the base camp is much too small and not really a base camp (which imo means even some place to eat, relax and sleep), but only a laboratory and a garage. Klaus-Dieter
  15. Thank you very much for the information, the links and the pictures! I'm only interested in one of the summer wave sets, namely the Shopping Center. I would have prefered it to be an indoor mall instead of an outdoor. But well, that's not that bad. Which I really like is that we seem to get shops with decent interior (like in all Friends shops so far), that there's a sports shop (which is since long overdue) and that the mall is two floors big. The only thing I don't like that much is that we're getting a beauty shop. We already had one two years ago (and I even bought it). So a different shop (e. g. a flower shop, a jewelry or a toy shop) would have been much more interesting and fitting. Klaus-Dieter
  16. Thank you very much for the information, the links and the pictures! Normally I'm absolutely not interested in Creator houses. But since you can build this set up in a way that the backwalls are open, I might be interested in this set. The exterior looks very well designed. So the only criterion whether I'll buy this set or not will be how much interior there's included. At least the place for interior seems regrettably to be very little. So let's see. Klaus-Dieter
  17. Thank you all very much for the information, the links and the pictures! From what I can say of the pics so far: Passenger Train Nothing exceptional there. I dislike that they designed the platform much too small and much too short. The new nose piece for the cockpits makes the train looking much more realistic and much nicer. Cargo Train  The cattle waggon is a neat idea - so does the waggon with the cable drums. The small truck and the forklift are nice, too. Plus I really like the red office and that the cargo crane this time is set up on wheels. The only things I don't like is that there's only one cow included, that the cargo crane track is much too short and mainly that the truck can't drive through beneath the cargo crane (since the small office is directly placed there). Arctic sets  Apart from the too high number of helis (in total three (including the one in the icebreaker)) and the imo much too small base camp I really like these sets! The design is amazing! The only thing I find strange and even a bit funny is that TLG is releasing the Arctic sets as a summer theme - shall this be an allusion to the climate change and season creep? Klaus-Dieter
  18. It' only prelim pic, but I fear that they won't. The bridge seems to be designed in a new way which is regrettably much smaller. So the only chance to get a minifig in there is - like you already mentioned - to sit it down there (which imo would look really bad). I have to agree with you in this point, Ki-Adi-Mundi. Klaus-Dieter
  19. Thank you very much for the links! I don't care about the creator house since it's modular. And I only buy "real" City buildings (meaning with open back walls). Passenger Train: It's exterior is improved in contrast to the ICE from 2006 and a small level crossing ist included there, too. Nevertheless very sure not a set that I'll going to buy. Arctic sets: Oh my goodness! These sets seem to look amazing and even much better that the versions from around 2000! The sleigh dogs and the beer look great. And it's even nice to see that the helilift isn't built that <insert that tiresome argument>. The vehicles are brilliant. I fear that I will still have to get the one or other set - although I did promise me that I will not. Cargo Train: The waggons seem to be pulled by a large blue diesel engine which doesn't look bad (at least what you can see from the picture). There appears a new train worker, doesn't? Although nearly nothing of the set is visible, you can clearly detect a yellow cargo crane and even - which I find the most exciting and wouldn' have thought that TLG will ever include one - a small office - great! Train Station: Let's hope that the taxi will fit two minifigs! I find the huge dark-grey poles a bit strange looking and that there is a long roof over the rails but which is only very short over the platfrom is imo weird. Which I find really cool is the glas facade and that we finally are (although I would have prefered to some as a complete store) a Lego shop - amazing! Let's hope that we'll get pics of the complete sets soon and don't have to wait for the Nuremberg toy fair (end Jan) or even for the NY toy fair (middle Feb)! Klaus-Dieter
  20. Thank you very much for the links and the picture! ISD: The ISD seems to be smaller than the version from 2006. Am I wrong or is the bridge to small to fit a minifigure? Cantina: The alien on the left side of the already known picture is the same like the one on the right side of the newer picture. And even the set description on kiddiwinks says that there will be only 2 band members. But I fear that there won't be a barkeeper (at least I can't detect one behind the bar). Klaus-Dieter
  21. Has someone saved the picture of the shopping mall and can give us a link to it? Or if not, can someone who saw the picture at least describe the set (e. g. how many floors, how big, ...)? That would be really nice! Klaus-Dieter
  22. 21 Darkblane - 1 24 SpacySmoke - 1 38 vecchiasignoraceppo -1 40. Kenspace - 1 53. Cara - 1
  23. Thank you very much for this information! Although I very supposably won't get any of the Arctic sets (because storage place is regrettably limited), I'm excited how they'll look like. I expect them to look very similar to the Arctic theme from about ten years ago - only with bigger vehicles. The trains will for sure be nice - but here again it might well be that I won't get them. Which I dislike is that the train station is only 30-40 Euros. So there's again no chance to get a decent train station. When will TLG finally release a big decent train station (like the 1991 or at least the World City one)?! Since the summer wave doesn't seem to be that exciting, I hope that we'll get a good City Exclusive (like the City Garage and mainly the City Place)! Klaus-Dieter
  24. Thank you very much for all the information! I'm not interested in the jungle sets since I dislike the Friends animals because of their unrealistic propostions and too big eyes. Maybe I'll be interested on the ice-cream cycle - that will depend on how it looks like. Which set I'm really about is the shopping center! Although I would have prefered it to be released in the City theme, I'm very surprised how it will look like and which shops and other interior it'll include. Judging by its price, I hope that it will be two floors big, include minimum three shops and a huge glas facade would be really cool. I could well imagine the shopping center including a jewelry, a flower shop and a food stand. What do you think? Klaus-Dieter
  25. Thank you very much for the information and the links to the pics of the summer sets! I'm really happy to see that we're getting a lot of OT sets in summer. Although I would have prefered it if the half of the OT summer sets was already released now in winter. B-Wing and Snowspeeder I'm not that excited for these sets since I already own them. The Snowspeeder will very supposably include Luke and the pilot with the blue markings on his helmet, perhaps a Hoth Rebel Soldier, but probably no new exciting minifigure. For the B-Wing the last mentioned thing will supposably be the case to - only that we could get Nien Numb. AT-AT It's nearly the same like the previous version, but I nevertheless like it - especially since it comes with a Snowtrooper Commander (which was since long overdue). I hope that this time TLG will manage to give General Veers the correct torso printing. ISD Like the AT-AT, from the outside the ISD doesn't seem to be very different to the 2006 version. I hope that it will be much more stable than this version and will include a more interesting and decent interior. And I hope that we'll get at least one new minifigure in it Mos Eisley Cantina  This set looks amazing! I bet that Obi-Wan will be included, too (because of the Landspeeder). And I hope that there will be a bar on the left side and even a barkeeper included. One or two band members would be nice, too, but imo a bar and barkeeper are more important. After a very lame winter wave I'm really looking forward to the summer SW line! Klaus-Dieter
