Thank you very much for this set list, just2good! Well, I have to admit that nearly all of these sets do sound very promising! 41098 Emma’s Tourist Kiosk A nice small kiosk with a lot of food and drinks is always welcome! 41099 Heartlake Skate Park Well, I bought some months ago the Extreme Island Skatepark used (but in a very well condition) but for a lot of money on Ebay because I finally wanted to get a skatepark for the teens in Lego City to meet and make sports in their free time. But I fear that the Friends' one will be too girlish (pink and violet everywhere) that I won't regret to have bought the Extreme Island's one. 41100 Heartlake Private Jet and 41106 Pop Star Tour Bus Because of the different size and seats of regular minifigs and the minidolls I fear that these two sets won't work for me. Why can't we get these sets in the City theme?! 41101 Heartlake Grand Hotel I have to admit that I much more would have liked to get a hotel located in the City theme. But since we're getting one in the Friends theme, it's very likely that I'll buy it because I really want a hotel since decades (and in City we for sure won't get one for some years now). The only condition is that it won't be too pink and violet. Do you think that it will be more located on the beach (with palms, a small beach, a swimming pool etc.) or be more a downtown one? 41103 Pop Star Recording Studio, 41104 Pop Star Dressing Room and 41105 Pop Star Show Stage That there will be much pink and violet in these sets imo wouldn't disturb since it's in some shows in reality, too. The only question for me is following: Will the rooms have walls (meaning be seperate parts being able to be putted together to one huge stuio building) or will these sets mainly only be interior? If the first one is the case, I might get the sets. If the second one it the case, I for sure won't get the sets. Btw: Happy new year! Klaus-Dieter

Thank you very much for the picture of the new diver, lightningtiger, and for the picture of the possible 60095 Deep Sea Research Vessel, just2good! About the new diver: I'm not that fascinated by him because imo he could have a bit more light colors (like he is now, he looks a bit too dark). But apart from that he seems to be quite ok. About the possible deep sea research vessel: On the one hand I'm a bit sceptical about the width of the ship: It seems as if there are 8 2x1x2 windows in the front. Plus minimum one brick place on both sides makes in total an 18 bricks wide ship. For that it only has a bridge and an elevator for the diver's cage and a small boat this seems a bit too big. On the other hand at 0:02 you can see that the captain wears a new torso. That speeks for the movie showing actually a real set. As well as I think it might be possible that there is a submarine not shown in the movie with can be lifted by the elevator instead of the diver's cage. For a sumarine a wide elevator and ship would be necessary. So let's see. But if this would really be the real set, I "fear" I won't be able to resist to buy it! The only think which disturbs me so far is that the bridge seems open at its back. Btw: Happy new year! Klaus-Dieter

Some more great news (coming not from me)! In May a new (Creator) fairground set - 10247 Ferries Wheel - is going to be released. In contrast to the Winter theme which really went down, I really like it that TLG expands on the fairground stuff! A ferries wheel will for sure be amazing and fit very well with the Fairground Mixer from 2014. And very likely there'll be some stands included, too. I hope for a candy stand and / or a sausage stall. Well, let's see. But anyway great news! Klaus-Dieter

Winter Village Sets - Rumours and Discussion
Klaus-Dieter replied to Gearslover01's topic in LEGO Town
Thank you very much for this information, CM4Sci! I'm really diappointed that there is going to be another toy shop! I was counting on a candy shop, a grocery or a gas station. Plus apart from these three there are so many ideas for great new Winter sets (cafe, apothecary, town hall, a new PF winter train, train station, piste with ski lift, winter sports shop, hotel, ...) that it's really a shame that TLG only redesigns old sets instead of giving us new ones. The winter family house was definately the best set. But after that the Winter theme really went down. The winter market wasn't that a burner. And Santa's workshop is definately that sort of citchy that I haven't been buying it and even aren't going to buy it anywhen in the future. If now the new Toy Shop wouldn't offer something completely new (which I can't imagine), then I probably won't buy this set, too, plus the Winter series would be dead for me (after some glorious years til included 2012)! LEGO Star Wars 2015 Pictures and Rumors
Klaus-Dieter replied to Erdbeereis's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Thank you very much for the set information so far, just2good! I bet that the Final Duel set will be about the size of the Genosian Duel set (from 2013?). For sure minimum one big round window, the emperor's chair, some stairs up to it and some things to fall down. Minifigs will without doubts be Palpatine, Luke and Vader, possibly some Royal Guards and / or one of the emperor's guests. For one who can't afford the System scale DS, that's doubtless a great opportunity to get this scene. But for one who owns 10188, the set is probably needless. A new Imperial Shuttle sounds very promising although I'd have prefered it not to be the Tyderium but a generic IS which would give us the chance to get some new black-suited Imperial Officers. Let's hope that TLG this time manages to offer us an open- and closeable gangway (at least one like in the last System scale MF). A new Hoth Echo Base as an Exclusive?! On the one hand there are already more than enough sets located on Hoth. On the other hand the base some years ago with Luke in the tank and the small cargo elevator was really badly designed. So we still don't have a really great set which mainly concentrates of the rooms inside the base with a completely closing door, sepereated rooms with decent interior and completely new (not only redesigned) minifigures. If the new set was about the price and size of the Ewok VIllage set, than I'd have hopes that this my wish would besome true - if it was smaller, then not. I completely agree with you, Lobot, as with the posts written down before yours! It's completely ununderstandable why TLG doesn't want to offer us a new and much bigger and detailed CC although that many would buy it! And I'm even very angry about that. Klaus-Dieter -
REVIEW: 71008 LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 13
Klaus-Dieter replied to WhiteFang's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Thank you very much for this great review, WhiteFang! In contrast to the majority I find this series only average - imo not many outstanding minifigs there. The top three are definately: 1. Egypt Warrior 2. Classic King 3. Carpenter It's bad that we'll have to wait til fall for the next regular series (series 14 since Simpsons don't count). Klaus-Dieter- 104 replies

Having seen more detailed pictures (esp. of the interior) of the sets, I decided to not buy the lighthouse (it's weird that regular ice-cream as well as iced-lollies are sold there since with this the ice-cream parlor competes with itself). In opposite, the saloon is a must-have and maybe I'm getting the family house, too. I'm already excited which sets the summer wave will bring us. A flower shop? A big hotel? A jewelery? A market garden? Klaus-Dieter

I wouldn't count to much on the "Metro MDP" being an exclusive train set although I would highly welcome an elevated train or a subway since both - esp. the first one - are since long overdue. Remember that the last exclusive train - the Horizont Express - was firstly a Creator set and secondly not directly part of the City theme (it had a 10xxx number). On the other hand the Red Cargo Train was part of the City theme although it was an Exclusive. So ... only time will tell. I could well imagine that we'll see pictures of the two exclusive sets around March. Klaus-Dieter

Thank you very much for this news, The Cobra and just2good! To the summer wave: Negative: I have reckonded with harbor sets and have hoped for a sailing boat and a (car) ferry, perhaps even a waterplane harbor. But my hopes are now cancelled. Plus I for sure won't have got the possibility to get the Space sets because money to buy and space to store sets is limited. Positive: The "Town Square" and "Metro MDP" sets sound promising - hopefully these will be civilian sets. And let's hope that the "Town Square" isn't a copy of the set with the same name from 2013. And if the Metro MDP was a kind of elevated train, this would be brilliant and since long be overdue. Plus the Underwater Exploration theme could be interesting if the "buildings" would - in opposite to the 2014 Polar Expedition sets - have a decent interior and the vessel would be a research ship with a crane letting down a submarine and a cage where a diver can be dropped to the ground. Let's hope that there will be as many underwater animals as in the underwater exploration theme from 1997. I'm looking forward to prelim pictures! But it seems as if this year we have to wait much longer. Klaus-Dieter

I'd say that the possibility to get an exclusive train set in 2015 is very high. I personally count on a steam train like the most of you, too. But I bet that it'll be a passenger train since a steam train with cargo waggons doesn't sound that realistic. Keep in mind that even exclusive train sets are designed for kids or at least TFOLs, too. And when you think about steam trains, firstly a passenger train comes to your mind and not a cargo train. A Wild West train - esp. if it came with a small station - would be completely amazing! But I'd say that this is nearly excluded since because of Pirates there for sure won't be a Western theme in 2015. Klaus-Dieter

LEGO Star Wars 2015 Pictures and Rumors
Klaus-Dieter replied to Erdbeereis's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Hm, an in parts devided set might indeed be possible - but this way I can only imagine that it would be sold in regular toy shops and not being an Exclusive. Maybe summer 2015 will see a Twin Pod Cloud Car and a CC 1 (with Vader vs. Luke duel, the lounge where Boba waits for the Rebels and a landing platform). And then in winter 2016 we will get CC 2 (with carbonite freezing chamber, jail and torture chamber). Did you mean something like that? Klaus-Dieter -
I'm late, but nevertheless thank you all very much for the prelims, the final pictures and all the information! I'm "only" interested in the lighthouse, the hair salon and the house: Apart from the too much pink and purple the hair salon seems to be a nice set - I esp. like the many accessory and the new scissors. The house looks amazing: The only pity is that the third floor with the piteched roof has no floor and no interior. But although the rooms are the same like in 2012 version, TLG has managed to design something new: The archtiecture is more modern than the one of the previous version, the garden looks different and there is a bathtub in the bathroom (instead of a shower). But the most I like the lighthouse. Here regrettably the pink in the lighthouse really disturbs. Otherwise the set ist awesome: The first time in the history of Lego we're getting an ice-cream parlor - that was since long overdue! And that it is located next to the lighthouse gives it a fitting atmosphere - although I'd have prefered the ice-cream parlor to be a "common" shop like the hair salon so it fits in an urban area, too. Klaus-Dieter

I'm late, but nevertheless thank you all very much for the prelims, the final pictures and all the information! I'm not interested in the Swamp Police since firstly they look too kiddish and secondly they are too similar to the Forst Police sets. The demolition site sets look quite ok to me - although I'd have prefered a regular construction site. Now to the "civlian" sets: The stranbuggy transporter (esp. the trailer) is much too big and blocky. The speedboat with transporter looks boring. I'm completely disappointed that the City Starter Kit contains only fire, emergency and police. In contrast I hoped for some sort of City Minifigure collection - like the one from 2009, but bigger and with some vehicles. Don't get me wrong: the included vehicles are (apart from the emergency heli) very well designed - but it's a pity that none of them is civilian themed. Pickup Tow Truck With Car: Con: - pickup looks to wide (esp. with those massive wheels) - no car doors in the pickup - white instead of blue roof to the blue car - no place to place a second minifigure in the blue car although there'd be place for that - torso of civilian is overused Pro: + civilian car and minifigure included + blue car with car doors + civilian car with roof (and not a cabriolet of which I slowly get tired) Motorcycle Transporter: Con: - no back door in the car - too wide trailer Pro: + excellent new motorcycle + nice new minfigure torso + great designed car + car doors The Fire Starter Kit is great - a small price for a lot of stuff: four minifigures, a burning fuel dispenser and a fire quad. Demolition Truck:  Con: no back door in the car Pro: + great new orange torso + car doors + trailer with mobile toilet is a great idea + a lot of accessory + crane + side walls at the back of the car Snowplow:  Con: too wide orange "shovel" Pro: amazing design For me the three best City sets in the first half of 2015 are definately the fire starter kit, the demolition truck and the snowplow. LEGO Star Wars 2015 Pictures and Rumors
Klaus-Dieter replied to Erdbeereis's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I'm late, but nevertheless thank you all very much for the prelims, the final pictures and all the information! Imperial Troop Transport Pro: + great design + BP which makes it easier to buy and store more exemplars Con: - spring-loaded shooters - no OT Stormies T-16 Skyhopper Pro: + excellent design + two great new designed minifigures + not only the pilot, but even a Tusken Raider included Con: nothing About a possible Cloud City set: Since the UCS Slave 1 will firstly be released in January and since there will be a UCS TIE, I can't imagine that there'll be a CC in the beginning of 2015 - and even doubt that there'll be one next year at all. What do you think? Klaus-Dieter -
There are again a lot of great ideas! Here are two more wishes: Boy with yo-yo Gender: male Occupation / print on torso: black dragon emblem Type of headgear: blue cap with white "NY" priting on its front Type of facial expression: concentrated, but friendly Color of torso / legs: grey hoodie / blue shorts + yellow legs + black shoes (kid's legs piece) Accessory: yo-yo Pretty Woman Gender: female Occupation / print on torso: negligee Type of headgear: the genie's hair piece from Series 13, but in black Type of facial expression: eyes extremely painted, lips on one side down and already painted and on the other side not Color of torso / legs: black / azur blue Accessory: lipstick, hand mirror which does really reflect Klaus-Dieter

REVIEW: 71007 LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 12
Klaus-Dieter replied to WhiteFang's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Thanks for this information, WhiteFang! It's really a pity that there is no back printing on the gamer - he would look much cooler if he had a hoodie at the back (like the common torso from the driver in the Small Car set back in 2010)! Nevertheless I'm really looking forward to get some of these minifigs (the gamer including). Klaus-Dieter- 156 replies

LEGO Star Wars 2015 Pictures and Rumors
Klaus-Dieter replied to Erdbeereis's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Thank you very much for all the information, Hulk_Smash, and the links to the prelim pics, aayla-secura and rexusprime! T-16 Skyhopper The fighter looks good. Nice that we'll get a Tusken Raider in this set, too. Only a pity that you can't see how the pilot looks like. Imperial Troop Transport On the one hand I'd really have prefered to get a pilot instead of a fourth Stormie. And would have prefered to pay 30 Euros for the set but then get a decent sized vehicle with real cockpit and 6 seats (instead of 4). On the other hand TLG did the best in designing the vehicle the way that it can be sold at the prize of a BP and at the same time look the most realistic as possible, too. The only thing I hate are the shooters since I want regular guns. I don't like it that we very supposably will get Rebels Stormies in this set - but I will use them as regular ones since there aren't that huge differences. As it already was stated, the possibilties of a Cloud City are in 2015 better than never before. Foreshadows could be new Boba, new CC Han and the new Bespin Guard in the UCS Slave 1. And the fact that we'll only get one OT set in the winter wave - remember 2008 (the year when the 10188 DS playset was released) when there had been only one OT set in January, too. It may be how it is, but I personally would really like to get a CC - it's simply overdue! But hopefully it will be in the size of 10188 to offer us the many minifigures and big and detailed locations we want. Klaus-Dieter -
I bet that 60070 will be an exclusive Swamp Police set. So for 2015 we have minimum the set numbers 60077-60080 and 60087 left. And I counted it together and 2013 and 2014 saw 26-27 City sets (including limited edition and exclusive sets, but excluding promos). Taking into account that a Harbor theme would need 4-5 sets, there could be still four more sets for one more theme like emergency, farm (but I don't think we'll get a farm theme because of Friends) or something other. What do you think? I completely agree with you, HomerJSimpson! And if TLG released it as a car ferry (where you could have a cabin and some sun chairs, too), then even kids would like it since there could be cars, trucks and cycles to roll on and off the ferry. Playmobil released a car ferry some time ago - so why shouldn't Lego do so, too?! Klaus-Dieter

REVIEW: 71007 LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 12
Klaus-Dieter replied to WhiteFang's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Thank you very much for this great review, WhiteFang! Of course it was very helpful. I personally don't care about the allocation number. But for sure I'm glad that the regular (meaning non-licensed) CMFs return since the non-licensed are the best ones! Series 12 is above average! For outstanding it doesn't last since there are only very few new and unique accessory and minifig parts and some small details disturb. Esp. the lifeguard's pants which show the red-white "hoop" and in this way disqualify this leg part for regular bathers - which is really a shame! (Two lifeguards in all series til now but only two surfers and no single bather!) My top four minfigs of this series are: 1st: princess - stunning "hat" and torso printing 2nd: hun warrior - amazing helmet and coat 3rd: jester - nice cards plus someone making jokes is always good 4th: computer guy - good chance to get some more hair pieces with headphones @ WhiteFang: Sorry if I oversighted it - but does the computer guy have a back printing on his torso? Thank you very much for the information and the pics, just2good! I really like to read that there is going to be minimum one regular CMF series in 2015! The boxer shorts guy looks fine. So does the director. And the girl would make a nice CMF, too. Now we'd need a new TV / studios theme (I don't mean one to actually make movies, but only to play)! Apart from Star Wars I'm no fan of licensed themes in general. The only good thing with Simpsons CMF is they are not skin color but standard yellow. So some torsos and pants - esp. the kids' pants - are useful for putting your own City minifigs together. I completely agree with you, LegoDakin! TLG seems to have forgotten that even in the world of CMFs there are not only adults but even kids. Thanks for the picture, Robert8! The kindergarten girl indeed would make a great minifigure! But there could and should be much more kids minifigures, e. g. girl with skipping-rope, school boy with large bag, girl with pink Lego bucket, boy with blue Lego bucket, boy with yo-yo, girl with swim ring, boy with water pistol, ... Klaus-Dieter

Thank you very much for these lists, CM4Sci, HomerJSimpson and ghostmind! I'm a bit ambivalent which concerns the first half of 2015 City sets. On the one hand there seem to be - especially in the Great Vehicles theme - a lot of redesigns. On the other hand there are some sets which might have potential - esp. the City Starter Set, the snowplow and the Fire Starter Set. So finally only pics will let me decide. With that low price the Fire Starter Kit for sure will only include one vehicle - supposably a equipment car. Don't you think? What do you think the City Starter Kit will include? It's price is bigger that the 2013 set with the equal name and much bigger than the 2009 City Minifigure Collection. Maybe a civilian car, a bicycle, some minifigures (for sure a police officer will be included like in the 2009 one) and some accessory like a bench, a street lantern, street signs, ...? Since we got airport sets already last year (these were only cargo but nevertheless) and since the last harbor theme was in 2011, I bet that the 2015 summer theme will be Harbor. Hopefully with not only redesigns, but something really new - like a yacht harbor (I know there had been one decades ago, but I don't count this one), a fishing harbor or / and a sailing boat. Thank you very much for posting this list, ghostmind! Pizzeria sounds cool. But there are already enough in Lego City. Hair Salon might be nice. But it's very close to a spa - so why didn't TLG offer us a flower shop, a jewelry or something other completely new? Family Home supposably will be very similar to the 2012 Friends house - only supposably a bit smaller since the balloon seems to be the biggest set. The only set I'm really interested in how it'll look like is the Light House. Let's see how many pink and purple it'll include that you can integrate it in your Lego City or not. Apart from that I must say that this line seems mainly to redesign sets from 2012 instead of giving us new ones. So let's hope for summer for a supermarket, a flowershop or something other great. Klaus-Dieter

To the Water Police sets: Do you, too, think that we'll get two new police officer prints? Maybe one with a life jacket and one regular? Maybe TLG even gives us a police diver? And again to the Fire Starter Kit: Since last year's Fire sets will for sure still be on the shelves in the most toy shops in 2015, too, I bet that there won't be any fire vehicles inside the set we already had gotten in this line (so no "ladder truck", no chief's car and no motorcycle). So I hope for a decent equipment car and some sort of smaller car like a suv or so. As minifigs (since the set is surely somewhere between 25 and 30 Euros) I go for the three different fire minifigures (regular fireman, fireman with warning vest and fire chief). And for sure there's something burning in the set and hopefully even a lot of equipment for the firefighters. What do you think? Klaus-Dieter

Thank you very much for the press release, Rufus! In contrast to the majority of opinions already posted here, I have to say that I really dislike this set! Pro: + nice exterior design + toy machine Con: - too expensive for what you get and how it looks like - the idea of a Santa's Workshop at all - too kitschy - doesn't fit inside a Winter Village since it's unrealistic with that elves - rein-deers are brick-built - no place inside to put the toy machine somewhere - nearly no interior If the set at least included a nice interior (a small kitchen for Santa's wife to bake the cookies and a huge table for Santa) then there would be the chance that I'd buy this set. But since this isn't the case, I won't buy this set. And that is really disappointing since the Winter set is the set every year I'm always the most looking forward to! Let's hope that next year's Winter Village set will be a lot better than this one! Klaus-Dieter

Klaus-Dieter replied to Erdbeereis's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Thank you all very much for this information! T-16 might indeed be a nice set, but not that awesome. Which I'm looking for is - but only if it includes OT minifigs - the Imperial Troop Transport. I completely agree with you, GuyDudeMan27! Klaus-Dieter
