  1. Thanks for the news, @Ninja_whip! Did you find out something about a townhouse, too?
  2. I agree, especially since it's much too early now. Only not if the "Army Officer Captain" would be a historical figure, something like the officers in the Pirates themes.
  3. That's an interesting topic! I completely agree with many of all your suggestions and reworked my thoughts for 2021 themes and sets: outside of the city police (there are so many possibilites for re-designs and for completely new, too - I hope that TLG will release snow police or water / harbor police) Great Vehicles (racing vehicle, rescue helicopter, agricultural vehicle, garbage truck, camper, snow plugh, 4+ set) construction or demolition site (in principle it had to be construction site: 2009 construction, 2012 mining, 2015 demolition, 2018 mining, 2021: ?) coast guard exploration theme (I bet that it won't be vulcano again but either jungle or something completely new, the most likely dessert) bus stop (last one was released in 2017) cargo center (-"-) D2C set (hopefully either a cargo harbor to go with the coast guard theme or a row of shops since there unluckily are none in 60271) Since it seems as if 2020 doesn't see any minifigure packs, I fear that 2021 won't see any either. TLG made a deer out of the Harry Potter patronus for the Elf Clubhouse. So I can well imagine that they will make a regular seal of the Harry Potter seal for the coast guard theme. What do you think?
  4. Yes, absolutely. I forgot the word "only" - thanks. Of courdse it would make sense that the set includes the elf clubhouse and a small barn. If so, I' curious about how big the set will be in total - maybe something similar to the Cottage?
  5. Hello everybody! You can find my detailed review of the new and (although overpriced) imo amazing 30370 Diver here. Feel free to comment here and in my youtube channel:
  6. Thanks for the news! It's a pity that TLG didn't include in the deer a hinge for the head to go up and down (like in the bear or panther moulds). Apart from that the deer it looks brilliant! Since there'll be minimum one deer included in the Elf Workshop, I bet that the set will not only include the elf workshop itself but a small barn for the deer.
  7. Yes, exactly. Btw: I did a detailed review of 60266 Ocean Exploration Vessel. You can find it here (EB) or here (youtube).
  8. Hello everybody! Here you can find my detailed review of the new and (although overpriced) imo excellent 60266 Ocean Exploration Vessel: Comments are welcome - here as well as on youtube! A review of the Diver Polybag will following tomorrow or at the latest the day after.
  9. With all these great vehicles that looks very impressive, Murdoch17! Do you plan to bring some landscape (baseplates, rocks and plants) to your layout, too? At the moment I'm completing my Western layout. Originally I planned to have it finished in June/July and to show pics. But it takes longer than awaited. But next month it finally will be finished and then I'll show it here in the forum. A "sneak preview" you can find here when scrolling to the bottom.
  10. So far a very impressive size for a layout, @PhoenixAustria! (I wish I had the same space - and wouldn't need to destroy a layout in order to build up another one.) Til now I like the most your main square and the winter village - very well done!
  11. That's a stunning MOC, @peedeejay! The exterior of the building looks great and very well fitting for the school. And the interior is so detailed and realistic looking. I esp. like the science room with all the laboratory stuff.
  12. That's really sad news, @WhiteFang! I've at all times enjoyed your great reviews! Because of their details and depth they have always been very useful for me to decide which minifigs I want and to plan when and where I'm going to buy them.
  13. I completely agree - these would be great birds to have! Btw: It's really a pity that TLG doesn't reprint the rubber duck and use it as a regular duck.
  14. Thanks for this great review, @makoy! This piano is simply outstanding! Its price is a nightmare. But since the set is that excellent, I fear that nothing will hold me off buying it one day (combined with double VIP points and a nice promotion).
  15. I really like your idea of a snow police and a dessert exploration, @Brandon Pea! Perhaps TLG combines jungle with savannah. What do you think? Although cave exploration or tunnel construction would be great, I can't imagine TLG doing these because it's always about action and vehicles and there aren't many of them possible for these themes. I completely agree with you, jonwil! It's not that TLG doesn't dare anything - there are some nice standalone sets of parts of sets which either haven't been there for decades or are completely new (e. g. this year's tuning workshop, the small police mobile command unit in the Monster Truck Heist set or the town hall in the Main Square). And there have been new themes in 2016 (vulcanoe explorers) and 2017 (jungle explorers) - but since then TLG regrettably went back to the old and for sure profitable themes and hasn't tested anything new. So yeah, let's hope that 2021 there'll be at least one completely new theme! Yes, some mounted police would be nice. I don't see this as a whole theme. But TLG could include it in a moutain / forst / outback police theme - or release a police landrover with horse trailer on its owhn in the Great Vehicles theme.
  16. Since this layout should be the city center, I don't think that the Forest Police Station, the Swamp Police Station or the Mountain Police Station would fit in there well.
  17. First of all thanks for your nice comment, @Brandon Pea! Nice to read that you like it. I fear we misunderstood mutual: Which one from where should I include in my layout? I demounted the shown layout in spring 2015. At the moment I'm building up something completely different, namely a Western layout - Wild West, so a historical themed layout with the Western sets from 1996-97.
  18. Thanks, @LEGO Train 12 Volts! The fountain, statue and (two of the) benchs are part of the set https://brickset.com/sets/40221-1/Fountain - an imo awesome little set.
  19. I really like your set ideas, @Brandon Pea. Which I really don't understand is why TLG hasn't already released a new tank truck and a new (container) harbor. Yes, some new or new colored plants would be great, @TeriXeri. Although I think it's unlikely, I wouldn't be surprised if we saw the cypres tree one day again (the hay fork and the forestmen hat came back, too). I can't agree more about that there have to be more shops for City, @jonwil! Therefore imo it's a pity that the new D2C City set doesn't include one (but a burger bar although we got a burger stall last year and nearly the same looking burger bar in the Friends theme two years ago). Since I can't imagine that there'll be any more City set this year (60269 is only listed at stonewars and nowhere else), here are my predictions for 2021: Winter wave: Water Police or Prison (Island) Police or Jungle Police (three til six sets and a 4+ set) regular Police (two 10€ sets) Spring wave: Great Vehicles (five til six sets and a 4+ set) Construction Site or Demolition Site (three sets and a 4+ set) Summer wave: Jungle Explorers (three til six sets and a 4+ set) civilian set (supermarket / line of shops / skate park / ...) Fall wave: .?. Police (three 20€ sets) D2C set: exclusive Jungle Explorers set advent calendar What do you think?
  20. Thanks for the information! 60272 seems to look ok. 60271 is imo not as outstanding as the previous city center type sets have been - a shop (instead of the burger bar) is definately missing and the inside ot the city hall is quite lame. It's wasting bricks and money that there are a fire heli plus a police quad included. Plus I've got mixed feelings about the park. But I really like the tram, the outside of the city hall (and that we get a city hall at all), the music stage and the black limousine. So all in all I think it's a great (but not awesome) set.
  21. Thanks for the information, @VanIslandLego! I wish this was fake - it's really disappointing that there'll be another fantasy themed building! Why can't we simply get a nice building to add to the inner city of WV like a candy shop, a grocery, a winter hotel, a town hall, ...?!
  22. Hello everybody! Originally I wanted to show you my current Western layout, but I need more time for it than awaited. So, in order to sweeten your waiting time, I decided to show you an older layout. Some may remember the presentation of the city center of Legostadt, my Lego city, in 2009 (https://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?/forums/topic/29219-legostadt/). In 2014-15 I built it up again. And now - as the first video in my youtube channel - I want you to show this version. Between 2009 and 2014-15 of course a lot changed. But see yourself: Comments are welcome!
  23. I bet that if the Crocodile sells well (which I bet), then we'll see a steam locomotive with tender next year - maybe something similar to the Emerald Night, maybe something completely different like the Mallart. In contrast, which concerns (additional) waggons I'm regrettably not that optimistic that we'll get some since TLG seems to want to release only an exclusive train set which you can use in an layout as well as only for displaying - and an engine with several waggons wouldn't fit lengthwise in a regular sized showcase ... What do you think?
  24. That's a stunning model, @HoMa! If only TLG would release it - I immediately would buy it since the TEE was imo one of the nicest trains ever.
