Winter Village Sets - Rumours and Discussion
Klaus-Dieter replied to Gearslover01's topic in LEGO Town
Thank you very much for the information, @wooster! On the one hand I'm happy that we're getting a non-fantasy building this year. On the other hand I'm disappointed that there isn't a new building (town hall, candy shop, general store, chocolate factory, inn, ...) for inside the WV. Plus for my taste it's annoying and boring that Lego throws in again a sleigh and (a) fantasy creature(s) like Santa. I think so. It sounds like a re-release or at least re-desing of the WV Cottage - but instead of the snow plow (and maybe even the two side builds) Lego throws in Santa with the sleigh. -

That sounds really interesting, too - and yes, it would expand the Cantina very well! -
Wishlist: Future Star Wars Sets and Minifigures
Klaus-Dieter replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
With that pay TV series "Obi-Wan Kenobi" starting in 2022, I hope that we'll get a Master Builder Series Lars' Homestead next year. It should include all import rooms (entrance, dining room, kitchen, workshop and garage), a vehicle, a moulded Bantha and two moisture vaporatores. Minifigs then could (like in that MF some years ago) be from Episode 4 as well as from the Kenobi movie. If we didn't get this set as a Master Builder Series, then I hope for either a Jedi Temple, a Courouscant playset or a Tantive 4 Rebel Base. Plus as a regular set I'd so much like to get a TIE Bomber and a TIE Interceptor. -
Hello everybody! According to Insta we'll get following Friends sets for the first half of 2022: 41695 4+ Vet Clinic 41697 Turtle Protection 41700 New Camping 41701 Street Food 41702 Houseboat 41703 Friendship Treehouse 41704 Apartment Building 41706 Mission Vehicle 2022 Power The Street Food set could be nice if the house would - in contrast to the 2021 Orangic Food Shop and Cinema - have sidewalls and a second floor; but honestly I doubt that. The Apartment Building sound interesting. I hope it actually will be a building with different apartments, with long enough sidewalls and no fantasy stuff like slides or so - the 2021 Hotel showed how great Friends buildings can be if they're designed this way. What do you think?

I guess the reason is that production capacity is limited and customers' money is limited, too. If TLG produced more unlicensed themes and sets, many people would buy less licensed products. But TLG still thinks that only licenses are the best - so they keep on releasing nearly only licensed themes and sets. But I really don't understand their decisions: The Crocodile sold out quickly and the Fairground sets are always very popular, too, - so why not releasing another Fairground and another Trains set this year and therefore cancel two licensed products which have a much smaller group of customers interested in?!

Lego City 2021 Rumours, information and discussion
Klaus-Dieter replied to Powered by Bricks's topic in LEGO Town
For sure TLG will use the sheep mold from that Disney 4+ set for other sets, too. And since we got the tractor this year and will be getting a horse transport next year, I could very well imagine a small farm with similar size and contents like https://brickset.com/sets/7637-1/Farm - in this case with sheep and / or pigs instead of cows. But since the set number appears apart from brickmerge nowhere else, I could even imagine that the set was cancelled or put backwards to 2022. -
Lego City 2022 Rumours, Leaks, Information And Discussion
Klaus-Dieter replied to Powered by Bricks's topic in LEGO Town
Thank you very much for the sets list, @Poodabricks@Powered by Bricks@LCP@toopizza13! The most excited I'm for following sets: - 60330 Hospital: I could well imagine it being very similar to https://brickset.com/sets/41318-1/Heartlake-Hospital, but without helicopter since there is one seperately in 60343 - a dream would be if it finally included a paramedic motorcycle, but that's supposably unrealistic - 60329 School: I'm really surprised that TLG will offer us a school, but I really welcome it - nevertheless I wouldn'd put my hopes too high since for sure it won't be bigger than https://brickset.com/sets/41005-1/Heartlake-High, I fear that either there won't be a (school) bus included or the school building would be only very small or thin - 60328 Beach Lifeguard Post: I guess it will be similar either to https://brickset.com/sets/1815-1/Paradisa-Lifeguard or more likely to https://brickset.com/sets/6334-1/Wave-Jump-Racers - 60327 Horse Transport: I bet it will be very similar to https://brickset.com/sets/7635-1/4WD-with-Horse-Trailer - 60324 Mobile Crane: I hope it won't be yellow but have a different color - the best would be a fire fighter's mobile crane, but that's supposably only wishful thinking - supposably this will be the biggest Great Vehicles set of the year (30 Euros) and look similar to the mobile crane in https://brickset.com/sets/60026-1/Town-Square - 60343 Rescue Helicopter Transporter: I'm surprised that we get that kind of set, but it makes absolutely sense in addition to the hospital, but I bet that the helicopter itself unluckily will only be a simple small helicopter for one person and not a decent sized one - so the set should look very similar to https://brickset.com/sets/60183-1/Heavy-Cargo-Transport For summer I expect a small wave of Arcitc / Antarctica Exploration sets and for fall three Trains sets (passenger train, cargo train and train station) - but possibly it's also Trains in summer and Arcitc / Antarctica Exploration in fall. -
In the last weeks I built together all three models of the Medieval Castle - so you get an impressive and extremly well looking layout! Now I hope that next year TLG will offers us in the 18+ range some sort of re-design of the Medieval Market Village to fill in the place inside the castle.

Winter Village Sets - Rumours and Discussion
Klaus-Dieter replied to Gearslover01's topic in LEGO Town
Interesting and funny, @Flippi01, since I'm really tired of this fantasy stuff and am really hoping for TLG this year to return to the classic and realistic Winter Village. Plus I'm hoping that TLG won't cancel this year's WV set - like they did with the Fairground set and the Trains set. -
Thank you very much for the pics, @Coolusername! I normally do not buy any of these big vehicles since they aren't of any use for my Lego city. But this model is that sort of lovely built with so many nice details and without any license that I plan to buy it nevertheless.

LEGO Star Wars 2021 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!
Klaus-Dieter replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Thank you all very much for the news! Apart from the Tatooine Homestead (which is in principle no set, but a GWP) there is sadly no single SW set this year of interest for me. Plus it's really a pity that TLG sells three UCS sets but no single Master Builder Series set. -
My hopes are gone - it seems as if we won't get any CE Trains set this year - that's really bad! I really do not understand why TLG sells tons of licensed exclusive sets - but there are nearly no unlicensed exclusive sets this year (only Police Station, Pickup and hopefulls a nice Winter Village set).

I thought once more about the only 100 Euro priced 10291 what it could be and came to following conclusion: different stands (like mentioned earlier) OR "slide tower" (wouldn't need technical elements and so should be possible for this price) OR swingboats (I know that the B-model of the Creator 3 in 1 ferris wheel are swingboats - but in 2018 we got the CE Coaster and the Creator 3 in 1 Pirates Coaster at the same time, too) But a bigger fairground ride with functions I still definately don't see with this price.

[REVIEW] 40516 - Everyone is Awesome
Klaus-Dieter replied to Bob De Quatre's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Thank you very much for the great review, @Bob De Quatre! Like I already wrote over at the other topic: a great looking set with monochrome minifigs, but a bit a pity that Lego reduced here diversity to ony sexual orientation and didn't design a regular rainbow in order to celebrate diversity in general. -
Thank you all very much for the information! This ist a great looking display set with monochrome minifigs! Imo only it would have been nicer to have a "normal" rainbow to celebrate deversity in general - instead of reducing it here to only sexual orientation.

Ok, thanks, @williejm! So when I'll do my next BAP order, I will be in search for them because they could be very useful to create some more trees for a savannah landscape. -

Hey, nice to see you and all other here again, yes! I was too busy at work. Oh, I didn't know. Supposably they were included in licensed themes? If so, it's no wonder that I didn't know of them. -
Imo this year TLG really overbild itself with offerings so many hillarious animals! I hope that TLG will do the same next year, too! Since I'd like to get a seal, an orca and a big pot whale.

Thank you all very much for the information! I really like it that Lego built the School, the Grand Hotel and the Beach Front that way that the side walls go completely to the back, that there are so many details inside and the exterior archtitecture is very elaborated and different! This way, these buildings match very well with City and Creator houses.

[REVIEW] 41684 - Heartlake City Grand Hotel
Klaus-Dieter replied to Bob De Quatre's topic in LEGO Town
Thank you very much for the great review, @Bob De Quatre! Imo this is the best Friends house of the last years! Like the school I already preordered it, because I really like it how Lego managed to put so many details in the house. And it's nice that this time, we get three desperated guest rooms. Only the whirlpool on top is definately much too small and I could have lived without the picnic area and this choose-different-seasons stuff and instead get the set for ten Euros less. -
Thank you very much for this great review, @Bob De Quatre! The exterior of the two houses is done very well. The interior is quite nice, too - only for my taste there's too much of dark pink and light purple.
-
Thank you very much for this great review, @Bob De Quatre! I really like this set and already pre-ordered it. Imo the outer facade is stunning. The interior is quite nice although imo not as good as in the school several years ago. Like you, I like the music / theatre room the most, too.

Lego City 2021 Rumours, information and discussion
Klaus-Dieter replied to Powered by Bricks's topic in LEGO Town
Thank you all very much for the information! I dislike the Police set - it's building is much too simple and looks more like a 4+ set. The Wildlife Hovercraft looks great and has a perfect price-performance ratio. The Wildlife Rescue ATV is brilliant - it includes a nice vehicle and some great accessory. The Wildlife Rescue Off-Roader is a good set - I don't like the too simple car and the too small jetski, but the landscape and the animals are very nice. The Wildlife Rescue Operation is imo the best set of the subtheme: The helicopter looks cool, we get a nice landscape and the animals are great. Only the tracked vehicle looks a bit blocky. The Wildlife Rescue Camp is a quite nice set, but imo although the biggest, not the best set of the subtheme: We get a great landscape and some cool vehicles and the animals are awesome. But there is no decent interior in the room under the lockout point, the tree on the left is missing minimum one more "floor" and I'm missing a tent (I personally would have kicked off the mobile lab and insert some sort of van with a tent on top - that would have had been awesome then). Btw: Do I spot new, big 3x3x6? tree pieces? -
Thank you all very much for the information! The Ferris Wheel looks quite nice. But for someone who already has the CE one, this one can of course not compete with it. Nevertheless the ferris wheel itself is built very well and the balloon cart is great. I also like the swingboats and take into consideration to buy the set in order to built these. In contrast, the bumper cars are too simple - it's only a facade and the cars. The Medieval Castle is a pure beauty! Supposably it's even better if we got a castle in a regular Castle line. It's great that Lego chose a realistic, non-fantasy style castle with a lot of details and many play functions and even two nice alternate builds - so with three sets you'll get an amazing castle! Nevertheless I'm really disappointed about the fact that we don't get any Townhouse like in the previous year!
