LEGO Creator 2022 - Rumors, Speculation, and Discussion
Klaus-Dieter replied to TeriXeri's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Thank you very much for the news! Here are my thoughts about the Viking Ship: - much too expensive (80 Euro would be a good price) - only four minifigs included - brick built sail - missing helms - B model and C model look bad - very simple styled weappons + brick built hull looks amazing + great new torso prints + nice new minifigure headgear + very detailed + albeit brick built, the sail as well as the snake look brilliant -
Thank you very much for the news! Altough I've got some things to critisize, I really like the new Cargo Train: - cars have no car doors - brown color for the countainers looks like if they were rusted - no trap at both sides of the car carriage so, when you buy two sets, you could drive with the cars from one to the other carriage - missing truck to transport the containers / goods / loading station / cars to the terminal - no building included + great accessory + electric loading station is a funny idea + amazing looking engine + great to get this new kind of car carriage + awesome container stacker + good minifigure selection

Lego City 2022 Rumours, Leaks, Information And Discussion

Thank you all very much for the news! Here are my thoughts on the new sets so far: Hen House: + quad included + hens in new color - quad has too big box in its back - a rooster is missing so much - rudimentary styled and mucht to small and in contrast much to tall building - much to big eggs (Why didn't they use those which were included in the easter bunny with scooter set some time ago?!) Vegetable Van: - would have prefered a kid instead of a second man + good price ratio performance + vehicle has car doors as well as doors in the back + great to get another food truck (We need even more of them!!!) + good minifigure selection + new amazing plants + lovely vegetable patch + a lot of accessory Farm 4+: + many new amazing animals + a lot of accessory - boring minifigure selection - rudimentary styled buildings - very simple tractor and trailer - really a pity that we didn't get a regular, meaning non-4+ farm Electric Scooters: + nice minifigure selection - one more minifigure is missing - azur as color of the scooters - rudimentary styled loading station I'm excited for pics of the rest of the summer sets (but not the Stuntz sets since I'm not interested in them). Since JB is going to sell the new sets from 00:01 MET onwoards, I guess that the pics will appear at exact the same time. Like the new cargo train, the train station will be an exclusive set (only at S@H and some special toy shops). So I'm not surprised that JB won't sell this and so isn't going to show pics of it. -
Wow, that's an excellent MOC! I like all these nice little details and the modern architecture.

With the tons of exclusive licensed sets Lego is releasing every year, it should in principle be no problem to release an exclusive set of all "classic" Lego themes for the 90th anniversary of Lego - Classic, City, Space, Castle, Pirates and Technic. But I fear that TLG is preferring to release licensed sets instead since this way they can spend the money for the creative development of their products; plus it is always said that they make more profit with licensed products. How poor today's Lego world is (for kids) with offering only Classic, Creator and City / Friends - and everything other doesn't exist anymore or only as a license!

Lego City 2022 Rumours, Leaks, Information And Discussion
Klaus-Dieter replied to Powered by Bricks's topic in LEGO Town
I've noticed this development already last year, but looking at (not all but) the most of this year's City vehicles, it's getting even more obviously: - car doors are cancelled - cars look blocky - massive lack of details (missing lights, stickers, ...) It seems as if Lego wants to maximize its profit by going back to standards of very early City (2005-2007) or even Town Junior. That's a bad development! Do you agree with me? PS: Only compare the Great Vehicles theme from this year with the one from e. g. 2016. -
Thank you very much for the news! I'm glad that we finally get a new (CE) fairground ride. And a rollercoaster with loop sounds promising. Nevertheless there have been already two rollercoasters before (the CE one and the Creator 3 in 1 one). So I would much more have prefered a completely new fairground ride.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Future Series Rumours
Klaus-Dieter replied to r4-g9's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Thank you very much for the news, @The Stud! Since I always prefer unlicensed Lego products over licensed ones, I really like it that we're getting a second unlicensed series this year! Could the 90th anniversary of Lego series include 12 minifigs of the most famous past and current unlicensed themes (like City, Friends, Castle, Space, Pirates, Adventurers, Western, Ninjago, Atlantis, Technic, Ice Planet and Duplo)? -
LEGO Creator 2022 - Rumors, Speculation, and Discussion
Klaus-Dieter replied to TeriXeri's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Thank you very much for the information, @Jiesdeo! This is exactly my thought, too! I hoped that it'll be the size of the Pet Shop & Café (imo the best Creator 3 in 1 set so far), but the piece count says that it more will have the Toy Store size. Nevertheless I'm looking forward to it - hopefully it'll have an open back or at least an intelligent opening mechanism that it looks good from in- and outside when opened, too. -
Thank you very much for the information, @samsz_3! Like the majority of you I hope, too, that there'll be more than only this one train set - a decent train station is since long overdue and maybe we get it and a special train (like track repair train or fire fighting train) as exclusive City sets. But since the recent cargo train won't be EOL in summer, I highly doubt that we'll get another regular cargo train.

Lego City 2022 Rumours, Leaks, Information And Discussion
Klaus-Dieter replied to Powered by Bricks's topic in LEGO Town
Thank you very much for the list, @LCP! I'm not interesting in all these stunts sets. But the farm related sets sound great! I expect the open air hen house to come with three chickens and a rooster, the farmer's van will very likely be similar to the Pizza Van, but a bit bigger and selling mainly vegetables, the barn will for sure be only small and there could be two cows and three sheep (I wouldn't expect any goat there) and the grocery supposably will be about the same size as the school. I hope that the Wildlife Animal Rescue Missions will offer us some more wildlife animals located in Savannah so we could expand the theme from last year - since it's a standalone set and very likely not a very big set, I wouln't expect any completely new moulded big animals. But maybe we could get a meerkat? How do you rate the chance that Lego uses the main body of the elephant and designs a new head mould for a rhino? -

Here's my opinion about the first half of 2022 civilian sets (Great Vehicles will come seperately): 60328 Beach Lifeguard Station Con: - road plate doesn't fit there (a tan "road plate" would have been better) Pro: + good price ratio performance + perfect minifigure selection + great new torso prints + lifeguard post has a small inside office with interior, too + ice cream cart looks neat + nice landscape + turtle included 60329 School Day Pro: + perfect minifigure selection + great new torso prints + first time in the City theme that we get a school + small school yard with climbing wall included + very detailed interior Con: - bad price ratio performance (40 Euros would have been the correct price) - outside of the school bus is too short concerning its length - school bus without car doors on its sides - inside of the school bus fits only the driver, one "regular" pupil and one with wheelchair - "bus station" is a bad joke and lacks simply everything (it neede much more depth, a grey floor and bench, dustbin and timetable) - school has no roof - school lacks a wall on the right side on the second floor - band equipment and painting equipment directly behind the entrance doesn't make sense and looks bad (a small kiosk and a bench would have fitted well) - on the second floor there's room for only two pupils 60330 Hospital Con: - a bit expensive (80 Euros would have been fitting) - helicopter looks ugly with the massive skids - very hard to play inside (removable roofs would have been good) - ambulance car without car doors on its sides - inside of the ambulance car doesn't offer any equipment (even not as stickers) as well as any seat for a paramedic to examine the injured person - outside of the ambulance car is too short concerning its length Pro: + perfect minifigure selection + great new torso prints + completley new and awesome looking architectual design + most rooms are completely different to the last hospital + very detailed interior -

Thank you all very much for the news! Before I'll post my detailed opinions, here's my rating of my TOP 5 best City sets of the first half of 2022: 1. 60326 Picnic in the Park 2. 60324 Mobile Crane 3. 60330 Hospital 4. 60351 Rocket Launch Center 5. 60319 Fire Rescue & Police Chase And the worst set is imo 60329 School Day - I was so much looking forward to this set, but TLG did mess it completely up. Which are your tops and flops? -
LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 22. Rumors and discussion
Klaus-Dieter replied to Robert8's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Thank you all very much for the information! The bard, the (woman with) toucan and the girl with foal are top! The bard is the perfect addition to every medieval layout, the toucan is amazing for displaying the City Jungle Mission sets and the foal goes with every sort of farm related set and esp. with the 60327 Horse Transporter! Plus the snow warrior, the chilli suit, the racoon suit and the olympic wheelchair driver are nice, too. The rest is imo lame. -
LEGO Star Wars 2022 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!
Klaus-Dieter replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Thank you very much for the pics! Apart from that it's overprice and it's a pity that there's no Snowtrooper Officer included, I really like the Hoth BP: There's only sensefull stuff included and the minifigs have "normal" weappons. It's a pity that the Hoth AT-ST fits only one driver plus instead of the probe droid and Chewbacca I would have preferred to get another (Snow or Rebel) trooper. But the vehicle itself looks superb and will for sure be a gain in every Hoth diorama. -
Lego City 2022 Rumours, Leaks, Information And Discussion
Klaus-Dieter replied to Powered by Bricks's topic in LEGO Town
Thank you all very much for the information! To the 60324 Mobile Crane: The price is too high and it's a pity that there aren't car doors included. Apart from that everything in this set is perfect: the colors, the design and that there is (after years finally) a cab for the crane operator - I'll definately buy this set! To the 60351 Rocket Launch Pad: It's completely new that there'll be a retailer exclusive set in spring - and even that a big one. Since I already own the Mars Space Station and am otherwise no fan of sets of futuristic things in the City theme (imo they should get there own Space theme outside of City), tor me this could be the only interesting Space set of this subtheme. Well, we'll see To a comment in the Promobricks video (where the sets are described): There it is mentioned that there shall be a bigger school or a bigger expansion to the 60239 School With School Bus later this year. This sounds promising, doesn't it?! Maybe we get some additional rooms, a sports hall and / or a cafeteria? To the picture of different City minifigs and vehicles: Here's my analysis: First row: woman with new white-yellow torso - Maybe a female teacher in 60239 School With School Bus? ice-cream custome - That's for sure the ice-cream seller in 60328 Lifeguard Station. female horse rider (?) - She is for sure part of the set 60327 Horse Transporter. fire chief - Supposably he's included in 60320 Fire Station. Second row: blue-white robber (?) - He will for sure be included in one of these Police sets. white-orange-blue robber (?) - -"- green-black robber (?) - I could imagine this one to be a robber disguised as garbage truck driver in 60316 Police Station. neon-green or lime-green car with white doors in the back - It's to short to be the ambulance plus I don't spot any blue lights. In contrast, there could be a boat in the same color like the car on its top (but the picture is too small to say). So might it be a car included in 60326 Picknick In The Park? Third row: construction worker - We already know that this minifigure will be included in 60324 Mobile Crane. male police officer - For sure he'll be part of the 60316 Police Station. female firefighter - She'll be included in one of the Fire Sets - I personally would go for 60319 Fire And Police Mission female police officer - Obviously, she'll be part of some of the Police sets. Fourth row: firefighter with neon-green helmet - Obviously, he'll be part of some of the Fire sets. mobile crane - It's the already leaked 60324 Mobile Crane. police helicopter (?) - For sure it's part of the 60316 Police Station. fire helicopter or ambulance helicopter (?) - Either it's the 60318 4+ Fire Helicopter or it will be included in the 60330 Hospital. Fifth row: black-grey-yellow vehicle - Either this is the garbage truck in the 60316 Police Station or it's the tractor truck for the 60343 Helicopter Transport. woman in wheelchair with baby plus another minifig - Obviously, these minifigs are part of the 60330 Hospital. paramedic - -"- bigger car with something on top - This is either the Tuk-Tuk included in the 60315 Mobile Police Station or the ice-cream truck in the 60314 Ice-Cream Truck Chase. -
Since it's absolutely likely that City is getting two new trains in 2022, I sadly highly doubt that we're getting a whole CE train set the same year. The only thing I could see happening (and which I wish and would like very much) would - because of Lego's 90th birthday - be an elevated train with rollercoaster tracks. That's an interesting theory, @legotownlinz! I don't agree that a 18+ train has to bei 7-8 studs wide. Look back at the Horizon Express and the Maersk Container Train - these were excellent sets with only six studs wide. But I completely agree with you which concerns Lego might release a standalone train engine as display model every e. g. two years. Since the Crocodile was an electric engine, I'd expect the next one to be a steam locomotive - maybe already in 2022.

Thanks for the news! 🙂 The Hoth AT-ST sounds promising. And the Hoth BP could be a nice set, too, but only if hopefully one of the three Snowtroopers was an officer. -

Thanks for the news! 🙂 If these test animals actually made it into sets: - I'd expect the squirrel to appear in the City Park. Additionally it could be included in the CE Hotel and in other City sets with some green space. - Could it be that the dog wears a jacket? I could see it in some City sets or in the next CMF. -

Klaus-Dieter replied to Mandalorianknight's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Great job, @Mandalorianknight! That's exactly like I'd imagine the set to look like, too. -
With series W you did again a great job, @Robert8! The three minifigs I like the most of this series are the Carnival Man, the Painter and the Olympic God.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 22. Rumors and discussion
Klaus-Dieter replied to Robert8's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Thank you very much for the information, @Robert8! It's great that we'll get in January again a regular and unlicensed series! Btw the regular and unlicensed series are the only kind of CMF series I'm interested in since I can use the there included minifigs for City and Castle. I think that it'll take much longer time til they use them in regular CMFs or other sets - for sure not one year after their release in these licensed sets. I agree. Marvel CMFs came after the Vidiyo CMFs and did have bags again. The only thing which could be is that Lego will use strong paper bags instead of plastic. Oh, a frog costume - that would be awesome! Yes, for sure TLG won't go back; they'll stay with 12 minifigs per series. -
Lego City 2022 Rumours, Leaks, Information And Discussion
Klaus-Dieter replied to Powered by Bricks's topic in LEGO Town
With Lego exaggerating prices of the 2021 Stuntz sets massively, I'm curious to see not only the 2022 sets but even how expensive they'll be, esp. what concerns the new My City sets: On the one hand I guess and hope that the school building will be similar in size to the 2021 Friends one. In this case I don't see the price of fifty Euros (for the 2021 Family House), but expect ten til thirty Euros more. On the other hand it's obvious that the hospital won't include a rescue copter (since it comes seperately in 60343 Rescue Helicopter Transporter) plus I could imagine the hospital to be smaller than the 2018 one. So I could see it being only sixty to eighty Euros. So might it be possible that school and hospital will be nearly the same price? That's unlikely, isn't it? Plus one non-financial question: Do you think, too, that one of the sets or even both will include the bicycle in that new light green color? Btw: It's good that we have again seperated topics regarding the different years of release! It would be great if everyone sticked to them. -
Lego City 2021 Rumours, information and discussion
Klaus-Dieter replied to Powered by Bricks's topic in LEGO Town
To your question, @Poodabricks: Stuntz will fail. Not because I dislike the theme. But because of three reasons: 1. The four big sets look all nearly the same and include too much of the same stuff. That makes it not interesting enough to buy all of them. It would have been wiser to release only three sets: a) a small (30 Euros) "basic" set (for these who can't or don't want to spend that much money) with a motorcycle and a monstertruck and some stunts stuff, b) the stunts show truck with two motorcycles (and for 40 til max. 50 Euros!) and c) a stunts show arena with only monster trucks, the two damaged cars, stunts stuff plus a big grandstand (minimum as big as 3403) plus an elaborated snack stand and a TV camera - so this flagship set could be interesting not only for JFOLS, but also for TFOLs and AFOLS. 2. Plus the four big sets are highly overpriced for what you get! 2. Yes, it's a nice idea to collect motorcycles. And they are well designed. But for the most kids (and their parents) it's really too hard to have to pay six times eight Euros to get all collectible motorcycles. So one or two bikes might be bought by many, but not all bikes.
