Hello everybody! Now we know that next year there'll be skylines of Tokyo and Dubai. So I thought it would be interesting to collect ideas for new skylines. Here are my wishes: Hamburg (Elb Philharmony, harbor with cargo crane, fish market house, St. Pauli, town hall) Rome (Collosseum, Peter dome, remains of Forum Romanum, ...) Billund (Lego house, Lego factory, Kristiansen's house, ...) Cologne (dome, bridge, RTL building, ...) Rio de Janeiro (carneval, beach, Jesus statue on rock, ...) Washington D. C. (Capitol, White House, ...) Moscow (Kremlin, ...) Vienna (castle, Prater with ferris wheel, ...) Athens (Acropolis, remains of ancient Greek houses, ...) What would you like to see?

Thank you very much for this information, Herky! For sure the skylines will look brilliant. Only the price is for my taste too huge.

LEGO City 2020 - Rumors, Speculation, and Discussion
Klaus-Dieter replied to Digger of Bricks's topic in LEGO Town
1. The people packs seem to be a huge success - otherwise TLG wouldn't have released even two in 2019. So we can be sure that there'll be minimum one, maybe even two sets in the 2020 summer wave, too. 2. With the huge number of sets, the subtheme of 60260-60266 can only be an explorer theme. I hope that it'll be something completely new - either desert (with pyramids and tombs) or forest (with castle ruins). But I fear that it'll be diverse again (since 2019 saw space again, too). And yes, I, too, am surprised that there hasn't been any leaks yet - not even some set descriptions. But judging how it was the last years, we can await official pics in the end of this month. -
After the two amazing micro scaled sets of Hoth and Endor I really would like to get similar ones for episode 1-4 and Rogue One: episode 1: Battle of Naboo (some buildings, one of these tan tanks and a Naboo security speeder and some micro figs) or Pod Racing Duell (platform with tower and Anakin's and his enemy's podracer) episode 2: Battle of Genosis (AT-OT, Republic Gunship and Hallfire Droid) or Genosian Arena (platform, the three columns, the three monsters and micro figs of Padme, Obi and Anakin) episode 3: Ride on the Jedi Temple (Jedi Temple, Republic Gunship and micro figs of Anakin and some Clone Troopers) or Battle of Kashyyyk (beach wirh tree hut with Clones commando base, sea with spider droid and Wookie Catamaran in the air) Rogue One: Battle of Scarif (AT-AT, the small building, the Imperial Freighter, some palms and some micro figs) episode 4: Death Star Battle (some grey scenery with a defence gun tower, Luke's X-Wing and Vader' TIE) Would you like these, too? Or do you have some interesting other ideas?

LEGO Star Wars 2019 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!
Klaus-Dieter replied to Stash2Sixx's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Thank you all very much for the news! Like (episode 7 and 8,) episode 9 will be only a remake of episode 6, but much worse. So the sets of this movie are nearly the same, too. Congratulations to your lack of ideas, Disney! In contrast, I really like that mini Battle of Endor diorama - great job, TLG! -
Not a set idea - but I really hope that TLG will bring back the instruction booklets like they were til 2018! I mean: When you buy a bigger set this year with more booklets inside, then (apart from the number of the bags) all booklets have the same picture on it - namely the whole set. This is cheaper for TLG, but imo a big regress: You always have to open the booklet in order to know which part of the set you build with it. Esp. when you have a bigger collection and a part of a set got damaged and you want to build it up again, you have to take out several instructions of your folder and have to open each in order to see which booklet is the one you need. In contrast, the instruction booklets of bigger sets til 2018 always had on their titles the parts of the set that you build with this booklet - that was much better!

LEGO City 2020 - Rumors, Speculation, and Discussion

@pooda, so you mean that 60257 Service Station isn't meant to be a gas station but a pit stop? In this case then the four sets together would make a Racing theme. But what is really missing there is then a grandstand! -

LEGO City 2020 - Rumors, Speculation, and Discussion
Klaus-Dieter replied to Digger of Bricks's topic in LEGO Town
There is only one Great Vehicles set listed so far of which we haven't got the name yet (60250). But according to its parts number it can only be a very small vehicle or a Juniors set. So, @toopizza13, I guess that either TLG abandoned the rule of a camping vehicle every two years or 1. the remaining set is a camper as a Juniors set or 2. the 60267 Safari Offroader is a camper or at least includes some camping stuff or a tent or 3. there will be a bigger set later the year including a camper (e. g. a camping site - one can only dream). Could it be that 60255 Stunt Team, 60256 Racing Cars, 60257 Service Station and 60258 Tuning Workshop aren't part of a City Racing theme, but belong to that Lego City TV show? This would explain 60257 which doesn't really fit in the rest of the lineup, meaning in a racing theme. And it would offer the opportunity that in 60257 and / or 60258 we could get more buildings and stuff than only that what you think about when reading the set name (in comparison: The 60233 Donut Shop Opening included a toy store and many vehicles which you don't think about when reading the set name "Donut Shop Opening".) It's great to read that there'll be a D2C set (60271). But I wouldn't get too hyped already now - we don't know yet how big it'll be. And maybe TLG only titels the exckusive City set(s) in summer (like the 60200 Capitol in 2018) in the future as D2C set(s) - so who knows. But if it was a real D2C, @Chilis, at the moment I can only imagine three options what this set could be: 1. some sort of an elaborated city center (similar to 10184 Town Plan) or 2. a ski lift with Powered Up stuff to go with the 60203 Ski Resort or 3. something train related such as an elevated train or a train maintenance center or a big train station. But of course it can be everything ... -
Winter Village Sets - Rumours and Discussion
Klaus-Dieter replied to Gearslover01's topic in LEGO Town
I regrettably have to agree with you, @RyanMe! According to stonewars, 10267 will actually be a Gingerbread House with 1.477 parts and will be available on October 1st with an early VIP access on September 18th. So for sure its reveal will be later than the one of the UCS ISD - like last year very likely only some days before, so I'd say 15th of September. For me this is a huge disappointment since I was looking forward to some sort of a winter village town square with two buildings to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the WV (like TLG did in the CC style line). A gingerbread house imo doesn't fullfill that and could be released another year, too. -
Hello everybody! Here's the winter wave sets list for Creator 2020: 31099 Propeller Plane (128 pc.) 31100 Sports Car (134 pc.) 31101 Monster Truck (163 pc.) 31102 Fire Dragon (234 pc.) 31103 Rocket Truck (198 pc.) 31104 Monster Burger Truck (499 pc.) 31105 Townhouse Toy Store (554 pc.) What do you think? I'm really interested in how the Toy Store will turn out. I'm a big fan of the 2019 townhouse and think that the toy shop will go with it very well. I personally would have prefered some other kind of shop since there was that small toy shop in the City set 60233. But on the other hand that toy shop was only very small, so possibly this one will be bigger. I'm curious how the architectual style will be this time. Plus I'm tight how the Monster Burger Truck will look like and whether it will be possible to integrate it into my city.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Future Series Rumours
Klaus-Dieter replied to r4-g9's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Thank you very much for this news! Regrettably it's bad news: Is TLG crazy (of licenses) to bring a DC minifigures series?! I really think that we've now got more than enough licensed series! Please bring back at least two normal (unlicensed and unthemed) series per year! -
Thank you very much for the news! I'm really disappointed that we don't get a normal (meaning "living") knight and that there is only one historical minifigure at all! Plus I'm not interested in that space minifigure. But apart from these two minifigs, this series is amazing - it includes so many well usuable minifigs with that great accessory!
-
After more than 40 sites of this topic, I want to put it in a nutshell which four completely new or brought back themes seem to be the most wanted by us: farm harbor zoo / safari TV / studios Let's hope TLG will accommmodate us! I really like these ideas! We're getting so many rehashes in the Police and Fire themes. Something new is really needed, e. g. getting the fire fighters not only fighting against fire, but having them to help at car accidents, at a chemical accident, having to remove a tree from train tracks etc. like it is in real life, too!

LEGO City 2020 - Rumors, Speculation, and Discussion
Klaus-Dieter replied to Digger of Bricks's topic in LEGO Town
Thank you very much for the news! Honestly I have to admit that the list so far doesn't knock my socks off: I'm not that a big fan of racing, the fire sets seem to be only a very small set plus likely a Juniors set, there won't be a huge police action set (like it was the case with the 2019 Downtown Fire Brigade) and the til known Great Vehicles are mostly only rehashes. There are only two sets I'm at the moment really interested in: the bulldozer and the ice-cream van (altough I would have prefered a grilled chicken van, a mobile grocery van or whatever but nothing to do with ice-cream since we got the ice-cream car in 2018 and the ice-cream bicycle in 2019 and so something other would have been more interesting). Btw: The til now unnamed sets (apart from the two Great Vehicles) are for sure already the summer wave. Since there already will be Police, Great Vehicles and Racing, otherwise the winter wave would be about double times as big as til now. -
Winter Village Sets - Rumours and Discussion
Klaus-Dieter replied to Gearslover01's topic in LEGO Town
Well yes, I could imagine this, @Robert8. Nevertheless my opinion is that there are so many much more needed buildings for a winter village left (candy shop, village hall, grocery, hotel, ski hut, ...) than this one. Maybe we've got luck and the gingerbread house is only one of two buildings in this year's WV set. I could imagine a candy shop or a village hall combined with a gingerbread house. Although I must say that I don't want to imagine it! -
Lego City 2019 - Rumours, Speculation and Discussion
Klaus-Dieter replied to TheArturro's topic in LEGO Town
Thank you very much for the picture, the set details and the link, @Digger of Bricks! It looks like the Ski Resort was especially made for me! Con: - hot cacao stand has no side walls - ski patrol building has no seperation between entrance and surgery - ski patrol building is only four studs deep inside - useless helicopter (would have prefered a civilian car for the skiers and snowboarders to transport their equipment) Pro: + many minifigs + a lot of accessory + colors of the winter rescue vehicles have the same color sheme like last year's rescue heli + goes very well with the Winter Village sets + ski patrol building has second floor + halfpipe and rail bring some action to the setting + snowmobile, truck and heli are very well designed + hot cacao stand was til now missing in the WV and so it's great we now get it at least here + amazing and exceptional outer architectual design of both buildings + great interior details inside the sports shop Although I fear that it won't happen: A ski lift with ski hut in 2020 in addition to this Ski Resort would be completely amazing! I completely agree with you, ks6349! Therefore I really hope that TLG is going to offer us more Farm stuff in 2020. -
Winter Village Sets - Rumours and Discussion
Klaus-Dieter replied to Gearslover01's topic in LEGO Town
Thank you very much for the news! I hope that the rumor of this year's WV set being a gingerbread house is wrong! It would really be a let-down: 1. Since a gingerbread house is something inspired by fairytales, which minifigs should be included there apart from the gingerbread man and woman while keeping it Christmas based in the same time?! On the one side putting regular minifigs, maybe even a vehicle, in this set would be conflicting and strange. On the other hand only getting two minifigs would be unappealing. 2. All buildings til now have been realistic buildings which fitted very well in the WV. (I later changed my mind and bought Santa's Workshop because the building looks really good and you can use it as a small toy factory.) A huge gingerbread house, in contrast, is nothing real existing and would absolutely not fit inside a WV. (As a very small set yes, but not as a decent sized building.) 3. In nine years of the WV we haven't seen any candy shop yet although it's something that important when thinking about this theme. The same goes for a town hall. So I really hope we'll get them this year. 4. This year is the tenth anniversary of the WV. If TLG gave us for this occasion only one building, this would really be a shame. Since I hope that it'll be the same case like with the Cafe Corner buildings where the Assembly Square did not only include one but more buildings. I wouldn't mind a small minifig scale gingerbread house - but only a small one and as a GWP or little set and not as the Creator Expert set for the 10th anniversary of the Winter Village! -
LEGO Star Wars 2020 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!
Klaus-Dieter replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Exactly. I don't want a brick-built Bantha, but a molded one. -
That's an amazing MOC, @Boindil Lego! I really like how you integrated the inn into the landscape with so many details. I esp. like the hole in the mountain, the bridge over the river and the ornaments on top of the door.

LEGO Star Wars 2020 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!
Klaus-Dieter replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Thank you very much for the news! All in all Obi Wan's Hut was since long overdue and is a great set! I esp. like all the nice interior details, but would have prefered Ben to have an additonal coat and cape. Plus the build of the hut is a bit unhappy - when you open it, everything is open and so it supposably won't look good in a layout, but when you keep it closed, the opening on the back is too small to have a good look inside or to play inside - in this case Yoda's Hut was imo designed better. Although we already have gotten more than enough of them, imo Luke Skywalker's Landspeeder is an improvement. The landspeeder itself looks much more detailed and realistic than all previous versions. Plus having Luke with the cover is some variety. I personally would have prefered the landspeeder to come not with stickers on its sides but with the long piece TLG used before - but that's supposably matter of taste. The small rock and the Jawa are some nice additions. Only the price is imo too huge. But there are two questions left: 1. Why will we get these sets to celebrate the 20th anniversary of LSW firstly one year after and not in its birthday year?! It's like with the Bricklink ADP where the sets were sold this year instead of last year when there was the 60th anniversary of the brick. 2. Where is the Bantha in these two sets?! I've been waiting for one since the beginning of LSW and that TLG didn't include one in these two sets is a huge disappointment! We can only hope that TLG plans to release the since long overdue Luke's Homestead (with Luke, Owen and Beru) and will include there one. -
That's a great creation, @pantelis! I really like all these classic minifigures plus the very detailed builds which make it looking very realistic and lovely at the same time.
-
Thank you all very much for the news! I'm absolutely not interested in the set itself since 1. it's much too expensive for only a tree house and 2. it doesn't fit with its style and size in a / my City. But I really like to see that we're finally getting the big limb element in yellow - that was since long overdue! Is the new limb element regular yellow or flame yellow?
-
Here is my wishlist for the 2020 Great Vehicles theme: - car with bicycle on top (10 Euros) - doctor's car (10 Euros) - tractor with agricultural trailer (20 Euros) - helicrane (20 Euros) - post van (20 Euros) - (safari) offroad camping truck (30 Euros) - barge with logs (30 Euros) I really like these ideas, pooda! Only two things have to be noted: 1. I'd prefer the news station to be the biggest set of a possible News theme. 2. That there'll be a whole theme only focused on (metro) transport, is absolutely unlikely. Having observed the City sets over the last ten years, there's a bus or tram in nearly every huge civilian set plus there had been the one stand-alone bus station. TLG for sure will go on this trend. Maybe we could see a new Public Transport System set (like the one from 2010) as an official set, but for sure not as a regular sold set. Plus I could well imagine a new overland bus as a stand-alone set as well as a bus station. Which concerns a commuter train, I fear we have to wait til 2022 when there'll be the next Trains wave - TLG reported that Trains are getting again more popular but at the same time they didn't release a train station last year and gave us no exclusive Trains set this year.
