The tire OD may be the same but the ID or the wheel Dia. are very different. You will never be able to put tumbler tires on the Porsche Wheels or even the smaller 56 Dia. wheels.
-
I think it looks good! I will need the wheel covers when I build the BMW soon so will need to look into options for my Predator wheels.

Other than the doors (which I am waiting for a couple pieces) I am done building this piece of art. There is no gearbox or advanced steering but this creation deserves to be in the HOF. There are some new methods introduced in this model (wheel fenders), and some very intricate and complicated geometry techniques done here. Although in some cases a little bit of force is required to make it work. The rear end of this car is just amazing how some things were put together. Not sure if I am alone, maybe @Blakbird can chime in with his thoughts since he has also built it. Amazing job @Lox Lego This is truly an amazing creation.

You have made a very light and capable machine and it clearly shows the M motors are enough for your design. My comment for using XL motors was intended if the build was scaled up a bit. You can maintain a low COG with a larger built machine. XL motors actually rotate slower than M motors so I was not thinking to speed it up. Another poster has done some work with tracks and found excellent methods for grip.

Very impressive climbing ability! Did you modify the battery? I am surprised the M motors kept going. Would be interesting to see how the XL motor would do.

I didn't look at instructions carefully but maybe V1 IR will work if two XL motors and M motor is on one unit and Servo and lights on the other. I think this is a good model to be using Sbrick which is what I will likely do. The IR's seem to be covered up a bit as well which may limit the range further. Looking at the instructions it looks like the 2 XL's and servo is on the same IR. 2 L's and servo don't work so I have to assume that 2 XL's and servo shouldn't work?

@Blakbird the instructions are calling out two regular IR receivers but I don't think that will work if connecting two XL motors. Just curious what you are using?

I hope they are doing a good job with this model and trying to stay with the original design. I haven't heard a peep about it; yet the Beatles set which was announced at the same time has been available for almost two months now. -
Someone on rebrickable posted that the steering wheel turns the opposite of the wheels?

Thank goodness for the 8448! My stock of #3's is pretty much gone so hopefully I won't need any for the short term!

Merry Christmas indeed! Thanks Thorsten! Looks great as always! I must admit though, it looks much nicer built than in digital form.

I have a fairly large stock pile of parts so normally I need parts which are not really Technic parts. I also always stock up on things which are in stock and a bit harder to get like soft axles, steering components etc. because they are cheaper than bricklink. This is the first build I actually had to use bricks and pieces to buy lift arms! I just didn't have over 100 for the 1x2 and 1x3's.

It certainly has a large parts count, I think you built Koenigsegg One:1 which had just over 3,000 parts so a bit more than this one.

Thanks so much again for making the instructions and getting the parts list done before the bricks and pieces deadline! Do you think this can be made in any other colour? White and Yellow would be very nice but both have some critical pieces not available in their respective colours.

Maybe there is a chance the part list will be available before the Bricks and Pieces shutdown on the 15th! Looks great!

Have an Engineering or technical backround can certainly help with certain aspects of design; however, I personally believe artistic people make better designs.

None of these sets are specifically made for GBC so without instructions he can make anything he can dream up. I have zero experience with GBC but I would assume a set with the most large pieces with beams and flat panels would be best? Set A is primary Lego designed set. Set B is secondary Lego designed set. Any letter after that is a MOC someone made only using the set pieces. -
