  1. In response to the question posted by @Capt Wolf here . A young man had climbed the gallows platform on the square in Bastion, it had been a while it had been used, but the body of the last one to use the rope was never claimed. Ugh, ugh, My name is Rodebrick of the Independent Layers of Sovereignity Et Reclemations. In short I.L.O.S.E.R. Rodebrick The passing days several creditors have found my office and I have sought out some others. The collective claim to free both the Peacock and the Pearl flying the flag of the Grand Dutchy of Prio has rissen to 750 doubloons. This figure is made up of the Bar tab 160 doubloons, losses of two ships flying SeaRat colours 294 doubloons and 84 doubloons, detainment costs 75 doubloons, occupying the harbour while not trading 110 doubloons, damages sustained by ships flying SeaRat colours 20 doubloons and administration costs 7 doubloons. The collective of creditors expects a swift payment, if no such payment is made, the Peacock and the Pearl will be seized indefinitely, the crew send home and the SeaRat colours hoisted from their mast trunks. The difference in the value of the Peacock and the Pearl and the demanded sum may be taken elsewhere. And when finishing those words Rodebrick claimed down and the crowd that gathered started to disperse, Rodebrick made his way to the ships to deliver the papers in person to the captains.
  2. Good question Mesabi, but isnt it also part of the game that you find this out by playing? Because you can always change the stats of your ships. I think it is also a bit of a trade secret how different fleets defend them selves.
  3. OHh this one is really nice, I like the angled part in comparison with the yellow pub building, the level difference for the front and back, with the jetty behind and the street in front. The big doors in the font and the stepped roof give it a real nice look.
  4. That's a nice looking tavern! You don't have to only take the floor print of the building as your license size, the drunkard napping outside and the street scene in front also count.
  5. Great job on the stonework, it turned out great. Excellent design on the sharpening stone wheel! good eye for detail too to have the water bucket next to them.
  6. Welcome! As Roadmonkeytj said you can license almost everywhere. But first register your builds. Via the form. All forms are listed in the master index: You should get a starting bonus and some db's (bobs currency) for every build. With that cash income you should have enough to license at least two this month and get an income the next. But I think every build will require its own thread. You can have any size ship you want, if you can pay the license. You just get a class 1 or 2 for free. But you do need to build it. (Eventhough Im playing this game for quit a while and have a class 6 sailing around I havent used my free class 2 yet. For the simple reason I never have build something that size.) Again welcome to the searats!
  7. What Drunknok says, line 4 till 21 are missing in the settlement status page, but also in the previous months those lines disappeared?
  8. I was looking at the stats of Fortresses, but I was surprised by the enormous range they are given. Let me demonstrate: Those are small, medium and large fortress ranges. Even with a small fortress I could control the majority of the island (not taking into account a mountain range) I don't know what the ranges are based on, the distance a army could travel based in a fortress or the range of the guns? If ranges are based on gun range, well then some update on those numbers might b650e necesary to bring them a bit more inline with what we consider historical accurate here in BOBS. - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/36-pounder_long_gun gives the range for a 36 pound gun at 3700 meters maximum, and 650 meters effective. (2.3 miles and 0.4 miles)
  9. Nice design on the presses! (although in a real world they would be on the downstairs floor, and the office above, due to the weight of the press and carrying all that paper up and down) Good use of the printed tile too.
  10. that is a very nice mill, I like the stonework, and the surrounding sugar cane
  11. congratulations to all the winners!
  12. That is a real nice plantation and house. I like the plow action.
  13. Nice write up again! Can sombody link to the topic where Astrapi is detailing their tax system?
  14. Thanks Drunknok, The tire was ment to represent a land mark, same as in my first Poppy Port build, click Apparently the Doctor build some more to map out the approach. :) It was my way to give it a tie to the Poppy Port aesthetic I created.
  15. I was assessing which bricks I have and what could be done, now I'm back to my real bricks. This scene emerged. Along the coast of Sabre Island just to the north of Poppy Port itself, the "Poppy Port Defence Fleet" was out in full force to train among the treacherous shallow waters with all the rocks and reefs. The newly appointed commander was drilling his rowers hard. - WHY for the holy brick are you anchored! The commander shouted to the Theta O. Barry wasn't really impressed by the 'commander' on board the Iota O. and explained that his boat mate wasn't aloud out by his wife, and with the current being to strong to row back he decided to anchor and fish. The commander knowing said wife wasn't about to argue, but after eyeing the amount of fish Barry had caught, he just shouted back "You are responsible for dinner tonight!" PS Maybe it's a bit obvious for some, but I named the boats after star names (same as the FTA Achernar) but with the Achernar it was a bit random choice, this time I was more thoughtful about it, Iota O. (blue boat) and Theta O. (brown boat) are two of the three stars in the Sword of Orion, I choice the sword because of Sabre Island.
  16. Nice job you did here Professor!
  17. Great little Brig! You really improved on the dimensions and shapes, I like the full hull.
  18. I won't make the 30th May deadline, so this turn I'll skip, and be back next turn.
  19. Awesome build! I really like the micro game field, and how that is represented in the shop. Fun story to go along with it :)
