  1. Looking forward to the other sets from this theme, so far it's better then expected.
  2. Just read the same at Brickset : https://brickset.com/article/77721/new-lego-factory-coming-to-virginia-usa
  3. I am very selective on GWP, I tend to only fill the threshold with sets that are LEGO exclusive, and have been longer on the wishlist (usually smaller stuff like seasonals , but recently multiple City and even 3-in-1 sets have become LEGO exclusives in my area)
  4. I agree, but I wonder if Playmobil having a special "Goldfinger" DB5 set had anything to do with it. (this LEGO set still has the number plates from that movie however) That said, Both Playmobil and LEGO have a DeLorean with doc/marty on the market currently, but the LEGO set isn't a minifig scale set. I remember a Minifig scale DeLorean was rumored/speculated to be the 3rd mystery Speed Champion Movie Car 76913 but so far it hasn't been seen (LEGO CON ? ? )
  5. I think they look fine for lego-fied versions of the movie, instantly recognizable facial style/expressions, at least in the renders, need to see actual product review to fully judge, as prints and light usually looks better in renders. The Chima minifig heads looks a lot more weird/flat to me. (if you remove the moulded animal heads)
  6. Interesting interview about the City Space mission set and that it might be a concept in development for 7 years, and now officially expanded to include bricks so it's easier to build along with the already existing Freebuild Chronicles. https://ramblingbrick.com/2022/06/05/lego-city-missions-building-creative-confidence-roundtable-and-review/ And some freebuilds (not mine):
  7. It's interesting how the crop area in the Farm Van can expand onto itself into modules with technic pins/holes, same could be done with other sets like 2019 fire station/dockside, or 2022 fire station the garages have pin holes as well. That said, while it might lead to speculation of more farm sets/crop fields, I doubt it's the case here unless it would be a September/October set. The 2019 Ski Resort was discovered late July. 2020 had the limited Fire station 2016 "remake" as a September release. The 2021 Main Square was revealed mid-August, and Stuntz revealed late August. For now, I don't expect anything. Also found an article/interview about the Mission sets and that it might have been a concept in development for 7 years. https://ramblingbrick.com/2022/06/05/lego-city-missions-building-creative-confidence-roundtable-and-review/ "As development moved forward, they took 19 stories to the LEGO City Team. Three of them made it into further development." Gives me a bit of hope for more in the future.
  8. I'm not a huge fan of the Daniel Craig figure but since he has been the main Bond actor for the past 16 years and 5 movies (4 of them with the DB5) the choice does make the most sense Playmobil currently has a Goldfinger Edition Licensed DB5 , so that could be one of the reasons there is no Connery figure. (speculation) I do think the headlights, rear lights and grille are prints, but the number plates, and sides are stickers. Some explanation about number plates in the DB 5 set : BMT 216A - Goldfinger, Thunderball, SkyFall , Spectre BMT 214A - GoldenEye , Tomorrow Never Dies A 4269 00 - No Time To Die In the first appearance in Goldfinger, Bond traveled from London through France to Switzerland so the car had revolving number plates to disguise itself. 4711-EA-62 - Goldfinger (France) LU 6789 - Goldfinger (Switzerland) 56526 - Casino Royale, has the car as well but Bond gets the car from someone else , not included in this set.
  9. If anything, robot hoodlum nexo robot will have a home for some people who don't have forestmen of old (like me). (yes I know nexo knight ,blasphemy, not classic)
  10. Just got my email, (was a bunch of small sets so I imagine it took a while), and the hideout GWP is there. Agreed, I usually only buy from LEGO.com direct if the set is exclusive to lego.com (which seems to happen more often in 2022), that's when a GWP helps a bit. Hideout lives up to it's name.
  11. I did place order, but confirm seems to take a while, likely a lot of orders going through the system right now.
  12. It got added in basket after I removed the LEGO.com cookies and logged back in, it only showed aston martin before that.
  13. That's the Australian website
  14. Ok I just read this again and those are exactly the sets that are semi-exclusive here in Netherlands as well. The Intertoys shop says "first at Intertoys" for those particular sets.
  15. I'm not in UK but more and more sets of "regular" themes are becoming store or lego exclusive here as well. Ultra Dragon seems exclusive to LEGO or Intertoys in Netherlands. Zane Jet , Crystal Temple , Samurai X Mech and the 4+ dragon so far the only sets with wide distribution. It can mean the difference between 0-15% discount, or 30-40% discount after a while.
  16. Probably won't be a new farm set, but there have been some one-off larger sets in September, like Ski Resort or Main Square. 2020 Elite Police also released seperately in August in Europe , September in US. 2021 Stuntz was an October theme even.
  17. The farm sets themselves are all 4 already limited to LEGO.com in my country right now.
  18. I'd only get the boat if you want a larger boat that floats. Otherwise 60355: Water Police Detective Missions is cheaper and still has 4 figures , one of them the same police diver suit, and a lot of extra parts to customize. The underwater / jail sidebuilds don't
  19. 2014 Spaceman promotion set, Benny's Space Squad and the Orange Space figure had smiley faces. (Benny obviously being the named one-off unique blue space fig with cracked helm/scratched torso and big smile) I think it'd be weird for LEGO to divert from smiley here. Exo suit followed the figure face from the original submission, and CMF also used a visored helm so not really "classic" in the same sense. Unlike Forestmen and Pirate sets, this Classic Spaceship came from an era with only Smiley faces, while Pirates and later Castle sets (late 80s) introduced a lot more face prints. 1989/1990 was a turning point, and most of Pirates/Castle since then used a mix of faces, mainly beard/moustache or a lipstick face. Space started to get new face prints after 1992 with Space Police 2 having headsets, and then unique faces for 1993 iceplanet, and 1994 unitron/spyrius further adding more heads, including the first robot/non yellow head.
  20. It's a bit mixed, like the recent amusement park GWP set was 6+ , but Vintage Taxi, Barcelona , Mini Adidas Shoe, Cosmic Cardboard Adventure have been 18+ . And then you'd expect Jane Goodall or Amelia Earhart might be targeted at adults too, but no, the set age were 8 and 10+. That said, the 18+ sets except the adidas shoe all share the shame type of 18+ box style, with the lego bricks on the bottom part and most have black/grey backgrounds. For the forest hideout GWP it certainly tries to be a more classic box, sort of how Barracuda Bay had some classic box design hints, but those sets are actual remakes of old sets. I can imagine this King/Queen Castle set and Galaxy Explorer sets in August probably have a yellow framed box as well.
  21. The 18+ thing has been a thing with GWP since a while now. "18 years and up" is a new one tho.
  22. The 90th anniversay CMF thing was purely a speculation / wishful thing I think
  23. I don't have 31119, so can't compare side by side, but the description says it's 27 cm high. In comparison, the description of the 2022 Police Station also says 27 cm high. I did measure the 2022 Police Station and it's about 20 cm to the roof, so LEGO does count the 7 cm of antenna as extra height. If a minifig is 4cm and 2 meter tall in theory, and ease of numbers, that'd make the Police Station 10 meters tall (about right for 3 floor building). Ferris wheel would be somewhere 12-14 meters which is about a right with only 1 minifig in each cabin in the LEGO set. The thing with ferris wheels is that they range in a lot of sizes, and this 3-in-1 is definately not trying to be one of those 100 meter tall rides, there's not really a Standard height. It's on the small side but there are even smaller kids ferris wheel in real life, LEGO had a small 4 car open wheel ride in 31095 as an alt build :
