Golden Dragon? Increased +€10 to €150, which is too much. Going to wait out this wave a bit as there are going to be a lot of new June and August sets in other themes as well, especially notable ones like Castle, Spaceship, Viking Ship etc. I loved the dojo and even training ground this year, but for the summer sets , unless there's some mega discount on the temple, I'll likely wait more is known about the 2023 direction of the theme.

Lego City 2022 Rumours, Leaks, Information And Discussion
TeriXeri replied to Powered by Bricks's topic in LEGO Town
I agree parts could've been saved but it seems the intention was that LEGO wanted to add a parking lot, which needed a small vehicle. Thankfully this Grocery store isn't exclusive, as it's a bit overpriced as is, like the School was, in comparison with the other €60 2022 sets, Police Station had better value but is now getting a price increase to €65... That's just the way 2021/2022 City road plates sets go, road plates/vehicles/buildings all go together in somewhat bigger sets. (not my choice, as I prefer buildings seperate from vehicles, but for City I came to accept this is the way it is) It's not even so much the road plates being the main cause of the set prices, it's the multiple vehicles per set that go on them like the 2021 Shopping Street set, which has 3 bicycles, yet had a sports car and a service vehicle alongside it. -

City Advent Calendar will probably cost at least €25 (like friends), or even €30 this year instead of €20, after seeing the list of upcoming price increases in September. (Star Wars/Marvel/Harry Potter Calendars were already €30) Moon Rover +€5 to €35 Mobile Police Command : +€5 to €45 Passenger Train +€10 to €160 Mobile Crane +€5 to €45 Police Station +€5 to €65 Stuntz Double Loop +€10 to €150 -
3-in-1 Pirate Ship will have yet another price increase , to €130, likely similar in other regions as well.

Kai's Raider , and Ultra Mech both going up €15, to €100...., many others going up €5-10. Full list : https://www.stonewars.de/news/lego-preiserhoehung-september-2022/#liste-der-sets-die-teurer-werden

Lego City 2022 Rumours, Leaks, Information And Discussion
TeriXeri replied to Powered by Bricks's topic in LEGO Town
I think it's nice, obviously more Town instead of City but with some newer bracket pieces, it's as small as it can be at 7 stud long and still have doors windows and a roof , lights and bumpers (with number plate) The car uses only about 35 pieces, while 6 wide cars tend to take up more parts budget. Wheels could've been the regular small wheels with texture, but it's sometimes easier just to make more of the same wheels (forklift has them too), as it's cheaper for the set budget. It's better then some of the recent polybag/magazine cars which often don't have doors , fenders, or a roof at all. More variation in City is good, this year certainly has more varied vehicles and figure designs, even the criminals with green and blue hair, and the car in 60319: Fire Rescue & Police Chase wasn't the usual red/darkred race car but a well-thought out muscle car, with Tan interior. Europe has more smaller Electric Cars, for example Fiat 500 Electric isn't big at all. -

Same here, so far a whole bunch of City sets are exclusive, like the picnic park, horse transport for winter 2022, and then Farm sets, Station, Freight Train, Space Ride truck for June. -
10305 Lion Knights' Castle 90th anniversary set
TeriXeri replied to R0Sch's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
I had some of those helmets break and the small swords and shields as well, but I assume most of those parts were from a 1979 677: Knight's Procession , and heavily played with based on worn.- 2,976 replies

How is this not a thing? [Castle Battle Pack]
TeriXeri replied to SirBlake's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
LEGO Disney indeed has a large amount of Castle sets coming out right now June 1st. 3 castles, 2 courtyard sets, at the same time, while also already having 2 palaces and a stable just released 3 months ago. The Mickey Castle Defender set is more like "traditional" Castle tho, with a horse, knight ,jester and a dragon, and it's a minifig style set as well, not the usual Minidoll castle like the rest of them, obviously it's simplfied due to being a 4+ and Cartoon set, but it's still nice to see Castle for younger kids in LEGO again even while it's still Disney. (I'm not saying kids can't play with the big 90th anniversary castle obviously, but more like 4+ target audience on the mickey set means it's not an AFOL main target) -
When I got back into LEGO, the 2017 3-in-1 Treehouse Adventures was one of my first modern sets. Seeing how this old forestmen set basicly a hinged tree house reminded me of the 3-in-1 set. I never got a forestmen set but loved them in catalogs.

Yeah I was thinking that, maybe not Blacktron 2 (as the B logo might be a bit closer to lime green), but there were many other space factions too.

LEGO Sci-Fi Ongoing - Rumors, Speculation, and Discussion
TeriXeri replied to Lyichir's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
I know there have been discussions/rumours about trans-neon orange retirement, it's true it's currently not in any sets. However, currently there are 7 different parts available in that color on the relaunched pick-a-brick hub so that might be good news. -
Not exactly big recognizable parts like windscreens but still a bunch of space parts and recolors in those 2 new mission sets. 60355: Water Police Detective Missions has a bunch of blue, azure and vibrant yellow parts like tails and jet engines , also a vibrant yellow backpack with 4 studs, a flexible tube in black, and classic space detector and a more modern variant of the space "flashlight" 60354: Mars Spacecraft Exploration Missions has a bunch of wings and rocket parts , like the more classic ribbed engine in what looks like gunmetal, a bunch of dishes like the radar dish in yellow, a 2019 rubber band claw in azure, some light grey tails , 3 wide rocket engines etc. Also a 2x1 cheese slope and a white flag with an orange tinted (mars) space logo. Vibrant Yellow isn't a traditional color but still adds more options for bright accents. Pick a Brick does offer a bunch of transparent parts as well, including trans neon orange (Transparent Fluorescent Reddish Orange)

To me, that batthub bike would so fit the Nexo Knight Jestro Character. Could imagine he became a stunting jester for the King after being a villain (there was a batthub in Jestro's Volcano Lair, and the flaming duck kinda fits with that too) -
How is this not a thing? [Castle Battle Pack]
TeriXeri replied to SirBlake's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
100% agree here, space has been a "theme" with a lot of coverage, especially after a soft-revival of in-house fantasy space with LEGO Movie 2 in 2019, now there have been multiple sets across themes, 2 waves of City, various 3-in-1, Friends, Monkie Kid etc. Pirates had the 2 ships, so 2020/2021 was strong for sure, since then Barracuda Bay has retired (but LEGO might pull a Saturn V relaunch on it by surprise ? ? ) 2021 was a soft revival of Castle with IDEAS Blacksmith + 3 in 1 Castle. 2022 will have a big Classic Space Ship, and 2 Classic Castle sets (1 GWP) Smaller/Medium sets are the main thing that's lacking for Castle/Pirates since. Lifespan of 2015 Pirates sets was surprisingly short, under a year, but maybe the view has changed since 3-in-1 Ship is currently not on a retiring list for 2023 yet. Speaking of 2015, a Chess set could also be a big minifig booster pack. Of course nothing can be directly compared to like 2009 with Space Police, Pirates and Castle waves at the same time (followed by licensed versions like LOTR/POTC/Lone Ranger), but I still think it's currently heading at a better direction again. -

I don't like saything this, but LEGO is clearly doing a GWP strategy to hype up the Castle announcement at LEGO Con a few days later, at least for the majority of LEGO fans that don't actively follow media sites all the time. If the GWP would be sold out in 1-2 days and miss the 18th june LEGO Con that'd be a PR mishap though. A remake of 6103: Castle Mini Figures would fit so well with the current times of available sets / GWP, and the 90th anniversary set likely has such figs (in production) too. Like it has Falcons, a Crusader, Forestmen and a farmer. A minifig pack could even be delayed a few months (nexo minifig packs came out 4-5 months after the sets of the seasons) -

2013, Lone Ranger was long retired when I got back to LEGO but it was an example of one of the last theme big on "Minifig" horses (many minidoll/minecraft horses later), beside the 2013 Castle line 79108: Stagecoach Escape had 3 horses, 5 figs for $30 / £30 (but giga overpriced in Euro/sweden and some countries at €43-65) 79106: Cavalry Builder Set from the same set line was more of a Battle pack however, 1 horse, 4 figs, €15 I agree, I'm normally not one to collect Licensed themes, but horses and Castle figures became super rare, especially in massable small sets. Currently the Tan , and Dark Orange horses are available in €30 sets, and were like €10+ on Pick a Brick for a while, still overpriced mainly to get a horse. Especially the City horse transport set is Exclusive here, so discounts won't happen. -
How is this not a thing? [Castle Battle Pack]
TeriXeri replied to SirBlake's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
The way LEGO did Benny's would be the ideal way (€10 boxed set). Nexo Knight did have 4 Minifig packs as well , first with 4 figs, later with 3 each. (LEGO Exclusive old style blister pack) The newer style figure blister packs still exist as well (City has 40526 for example), also Exclusive, and now reduced to 3 figures. Star Wars still has €15 Blister packs (3 figures) €20 and €30 Battle packs with 4 figures. A smaller 3-in-1 Castle themed set could work as well but that theme isn't likely to get a horse. Xtra theme seems to have retired, so a Castle related accesoire pack seems unlikely, unless LEGO City Mission sets expand to themes like Pirates/Castle Overall, Small Castle sets have not really existed , the last ones were 2014 for minifigs and 70401: Gold Getaway for a €20 set with a horse in 2013. 2011 had it even better, 7949: Prison Carriage Rescue 3 figures and a horse for €10, would probably be €15-20 in today's. Still, even in 2022, Harry Potter has 76400: Hogwarts Carriage and Thestrals with 2 figures and a "horse" for €20 so it can still exist even within licensed. -
Unpopular maybe but I think it'd be nice if LEGO did some sets like the old 733: Universal Building Set, 7+ Mainly more basic parts, and only a few colors, but they still provided quite detailed scaled models considering 1980. That set only had 533 parts, but the size of the models is quite large, and it's mostly very basic bricks and plates, with some specialized things like wheels, slopes, a dish, rotor or rope winch. Also with the transparent material changed recently, maybe LEGO could bring back the 2x2x2 slope in transparent (but with the tube). Even 3-in-1 is getting somewhat more specialized nowadays compared to earlier 2000s models. Sets like 4997: Transport Ferry from 2006 had more basic parts but also bricks in large quantities. Sure that set had nearly 1300 parts but was large too. Might look too blocky for some people though, just like the old 70s/80s universal sets. Parts count nowadays usually is partly taken up a lot of small plates, tiles etc.
-
Surprised the current spear part was never made in reddish brown so it's in some silver color in this set (probably Flat Silver as that's in production and in sets like 3-in-1 Castle / Ideas Blacksmith) Old spear part was made in old brown a lot but only in reddish brown once as well in a Island Warrior CMF way back in 2013.

Lego City 2022 Rumours, Leaks, Information And Discussion
TeriXeri replied to Powered by Bricks's topic in LEGO Town
I've been doing a lot of sorting of city stuff, I used to try to keep things sorted by set strictly, now sorting by category just seems way more effective in the long run. City / Creator / Advent Calendar etc had a lot of figures, small builds and figure accesoires etc, much easier to keep them together by category instead of per set, also easier to find parts in the long run. Long term want to MOC most of my City / 3-in-1 builds into just custom stuff but to have a proper start, need to have things sorted first, especially the small stuff like magazines, people packs, advent calendars etc have a ton of tiny builds and figs, but regular sets often have small side things too. Taking apart actual sets for parts is a next step. -

That small scale planet model could certainly fit in the side building of the 2022 Spaceport, basicly change it from a garage, to an observatory+museum type of thing, voted.
