  1. Just discovered your MOC because it figured on The Lego Car blog. You have a very distinctive style that I like a lot. You show that it is possible to make great looking relatively small scale Technic models. Compare this to the the latest Dodge charger. Let’s hope Lego get’s inspired by your work ... I’m one of those persons more interested in a manual version than a PF version, so I appreciate your effort to make one. Also just discovered that you have provided instructions for your brilliant Aventador on Rebrickable. A big thanks!
  2. I prefer the second option, it is closer to the original ... Wow, you have made lots of progress!
  3. Great start! I am looking forward to your progress ...
  4. Another Technic Lego set I will not buy ... Is Fast and Furious so popular? Are they not 10 years late with this? The same for the Top Gear franchise. I thought its glory days are over. Maybe somebody with young boys can confirm if these franchises appeal to them ...
  5. Wow! Very cool! Functional with the opening roof and the detachable body + attention to detail. The seats look great. All the time I was wondering what was underneath, but you showed it all in the video. My only question: How are the propellors fixed? It does not seem like a Technic axle to me.
  6. No reason to kill the goose with the golden eggs. Supercars speak to the imagination of men and boys and have the Wow factor you need to be convinced to pay the premium price. They also have the potential to convince car freaks or fans of particular brands to start with Lego. It would really surprise me if they do not continue in this 2-year release cycle. I agree with others here that sticking to olive green for the Lamborghini, will not push its sales, but that’s Lego and Lamborghinis decision.
  7. Fun C-Models! No way to see that the original for this set is the sailing boat. Well done!
  8. Wow! I thought as well you were showing the camera you were taking pictures with! The icing on the cake is indeed the picture. Bravo!
  9. Olive green? No surprise really given the real show model ...
  10. A big thanks @ifilin! I don’t understand how I missed that! Anyway, a big thanks to @jb70 for his “Pimp my ...” series. Brilliant work! I am tempted to take the Bugatti apart again to compare the regular build to the Pimp my Bugatti build ...
  11. I’m building the Pimp up my Bugatti v1.5 (Brilliant old school instructions! I love them!), but I have a question concerning step 32: I can’t find where to put the blue pin and the grey connector with the normal pin hole and the axle pin home. Can somebody point me in the right direction? Thanks!
  12. You have really put yourself a challenge! And you are not satisfied with half solutions. The dimensions are crazy. 1,8 meters? Really impressive! Have you tried if it works with thin wire?
  13. Brilliant! And with instructions. A big thanks!
  14. Thanks for the explanation! I have to build one to check out how this works in practice.
  15. Amazing and very original! First time I see a Lego RC bike. How do the motorbikes stay upright?
  16. Oh man, this is so cool! I was a big space shuttle fan as a child and the 8480 was one of the first sets I bought when I came out if my dark ages and realised what I had missed all these years. You have managed to capture the looks perfectly. Very much looking forward to the final version!
  17. Not helped by the fact that you could only buy it in 1-2 countries ...
  18. Buy used ... For new models wait until Christmas promotions or end of life stock cleaning actions. You can also put aside money to buy a bigger set. Good luck and enjoy!
  19. A big thanks for the instructions! I have bought them immediately and am very curious to check them out. Keep up your great work and collaboration!
  20. So the model was not approved despite the 10.000 votes and now Lego has brought it out as a regular Creator set. I mean, it is a car classic, so it is no surprise they want to publish it in the Creator series, but still ...
  21. Glad to see you back here! Always inspiring to see your work!
  22. Yes, I may follow this approach. I should have most parts ... Frustrating indeed, but I have learned my lesson.
  23. I was like this years ago victim of a scam for a 41999. Lost 300 EUR! Dutch police didn’t do anything despite I provided them with the bank account details of the fraud. In the meantime the Dutch trade portal Marktplaats has introduced user/buyer ratings, so things have improved a bit. But I learned my lesson: When it is too good to be true, forget about it! With this whole story, I have lost my interest in the 41999 and am no longer looking to buy it.
