  1. They write expected delivery 1/2019
  2. Wow! I had not realised the size until I watched the video and realised the tracks were “normal” tracks. Incredible how many features you included in this build. And they kept surprising with their execution. The extending arms + fully functioning digging mechanism, the two tools turning above each other, the drill with the retracting black box, etc. I also like you tried to simulate the red planet landscape. My compliments and good luck!
  3. We had great fun with my daughters building the Rubik's cube solver: http://mindcuber.com/. I built the version for NXT 2.0, but I see that there is a version as well for EV3. The same people have build a version powered by a smartphone that has beat the world speed record for solving the Rubik's cube:
  4. Thanks for your insights @Anio and @Alban428. This gives a hint of all the work you have done to achieve this. Fascinating!
  5. Thanks Jim! Again, I applaud the initiative of creating a separate forum ... I may be tempted to actually move from my NXT2 to the EV3.
  6. @Jim nice initiative, unfortunately most of the links are broken ... For example all the View briefing links.
  7. Really cool and fascinating! Also not at all what I had expected. Very curious to learn more about the process and steps involved. Is it purely mechanical or were certain steps like the swaying of the arms piloted from a distance through remotes? The movement sometimes seems slow and then suddenly to speed up. Hence my question. I would guess it is purely mechanical ... Then, how many trials did you have to shoot to get the final result? Congratulations anyway for TLG for involving you in this great way of promoting Lego Technic. Also a recognition of the talent of the French Lego Technic community.
  8. The cab is indeed gorgeous and then all these functions. This is becoming a classic!
  9. The 42056 will not be around for long anymore. As soon as it is out of stock, the price will raise. I would go for it. I you like flagships, you will definitively like the Porsche. I suggest ordering immediately the pieces for the Pimp up my Porsche version by @jb70.
  10. You will regret not buying the 42056 while you still can. It is a real classic, the first Technic UCS. This new model will be around for some time and the price will drop ...
  11. Thank you very much @M_longer for the instructions! Much appreciated that you share your fabulous building skills by making instructions.
  12. I’m sure you will soon show us your version 2 with improved orientation. Looking forward to it!
  13. You will have difficulty finding 8285 and 41999 for decent prices, I suggest as well 42043 and 42078. If you are new to Technic building, a helicopter should not miss from your list ...
  14. I normally only buy the big sets (exception 42070 that I have not bought), unless a medium set impresses/interests me and I can get it for a decent price. I ended up buying for instance 42078 because of the new type of motor I had not seen before and the B-Model. Otherwise I would not have bought it. Typically I only buy the large H2 sets and maybe 1 medium/large set from H1. It is not that I would not enjoy building smaller sets, it is just that I prefer larger more complex models that keep me busy multiple evenings/weeks in a row.
  15. @LvdHThanks for sharing these pictures. Now I have a better impression of the actual size ...
  16. Great! This will be a big hit! Thanks!
  17. Merci pour l’explication ... I guess the rest will have to use Google translate!
  18. Great MOC! Really impressive ... Also the spitting out of the single cards. How did you solve this?
  19. I’m really happy to see that Lego has recognised the importance of the French Lego Technic community through this project. Congratulations! Very curious to see the ourcomes!
  20. That would be a real shame! I think there are many people around here who would never buy a clone brand model, so there should be a market for loyal AFOLs who appreciate the great work you and others are doing and buy instructions to show their appreciation or in the hope to build your MOC one day. Don’t let a bunch of thiefs spoil your and our fun!
  21. Thanks for the tip! These are two sets I had ignored ...
  22. 1: 10 5: 6 8: 4 10: 3 3: 2 6: 1 My compliments to all participants! It was great fun seeing your WIP threads and the final outcomes ...
  23. This is so cool! One of my favourite MOCs is the Shark by @Tomik (https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-1165/Tomik/9394-red-shark/#info), but you have brought the fish movement to another level. Great also that you are providing building instructions ...
  24. I loved Lego Technic as a child. My favourite set was the 853. I thought it was so cool that you can see how the internals of a car function. Growing up I lost interest until I had my own children and rediscovered Lego. Just then the Unimog came out. I always had a weak spot for Unimogs. It was the first Technic set I bought as an adult, but I had to overcome a feeling of shame. Next, when visiting my parents I rebuild my old 853 and finally admitted to myself that I actually just enjoyed building Lego technic. Then thanks to @Sariel I discovered that I am not the only adult who likes to play with Lego Technic, but that there is a whole community out there! I discovered in awe the amazing MOCs so many of you create. Ever since I have bought and build most of the flagship sets that I had missed all these years. Apart from the fact that I just like building with Lego and marvel at the functions, I have realised that together with cycling it is my way to destress from work. It is my mindfullness ...
  25. @emielroumen Thanks for sharing the pictures of the progress of your build ...
