Hi The 42039 has more unique and useful parts than 42050 and 42048 together: Shock absorbers, steering parts, frames, panels, a differential etc. The model is funny to build (A and B), there are many alternative models with instructions and it's easy to motorize. The 42050 is only good for the tumbler tires but you get only 2, and being honest the bodywork is simple. The 42048 is a great model but in the small segment

42056 - Porsche Speculation
Jonfensu replied to Jim's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Who knows, but that means too many molds for every tire diameter and for every vehicle type. Just look what TLG did after 42039 release. They had the chance to bring us another new wheel arch with the 42050 or even 42043 but they used panels ( ) and liftarms respectively. Anyway the new wheel arches looks suitable for the standard 1:10 Supercar models. But, the question here, is:. How often will TLG release this new WA in the other sets and colors? Being honest, I see the new WA as a very exclusive and expensive piece -

I don't know what's the best thing of this model: 1. The bodywork and amazing use of panels and connectors 2. The speed achieved with PF elements 3. The possibility to build our own copy thanks to the instructions Impressive as always, Madoca- 220 replies

Your Best Technic Bargains
Jonfensu replied to Kumbbl's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
.... And for THAT gift What an awesome father . About the kid... Hmm I am not going to write anything -
I like the idea. It could be a great source of creativity and motivation. Also those C Models won't be forgotten in the forum and will be easy to find them. For example, I just knew two (the ones of MrTekneex) C Models of 42009, so I was surprised when I saw more...Anyway, here is my 42038 C model http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=118843

Talking about mid segment. What would you buy (Bricklink, includes shipping)? 42037... For 50€ Or 42040... For 48€ I already have the 42038, and the 42039 is coming... Personally I prefer the 42037 for the Frames, Wheels, Steering and Suspension Parts. But the colors don't mix well with the currents that I have. In the other hand, the 42040 comes with more parts, panels and a better color. But I don't see many useful parts. So I need your help here

[MOC] KTM X-Bow
Jonfensu replied to Jurss's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Are you using the 42000 tyres? Maybe the ones that come with 42039 will 'work' better in the current proportion, unless you decide rebuild the chassis and still use the 42000 tyres. BTW Your MOC is looking great. -
42055 - Bucket Wheel Excavator
Jonfensu replied to Jim's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Maybe he puts MK in his biggest sets like 42009 and 42055. 42043 is obviously the exception because it's a licenced model. -
I am also interested in technic parts... Thank you

HI. How much everything?

I've been watching some reviews and time lapse buildings of sets with ~700 pieces (42050, 42006, 42028 an so on) and comparing these with the Volvo, I think that Volvo has more than 700 pieces because the chassis, superstructure and cab are more dense, that explain why it looks so messy and why we cannot see any empty space. Does it justify the 1166 pieces? I don't think so, because as many of you stated, the 8043 is larger. I'd say that Volvo look as a ~900 pieces set Let's wait what can tell us TLG in the official launch and Jim and Sariel in their reviews

I am totally agree with you. The Go-kart, Display jet team and Hydroplane boat are only the best low-mid sets of this year. -------- I am +1166 agree with all of you( ) about piece count in Volvo. The first time that I saw the Volvo I thought: "It must have around 700 pieces". Then, I get surprised for the 1166. I'd say it has the same size of 42006. So, if it was a typo and has less pieces, for 70£, it would be a big fail set

Amazing. I've waiting long time to see an update of this project. This deserve to be in the HoF -
@geezerman402 Well, it's not about design or the models selected. It's about the pieces, and in the end,the finish that have the set. Being honest, some 1H sets feels and look self made, except the Helicopter and Go-kart. To understand what I am trying to say, just compare the 42028 with 42049 and look what offers each one for the same price and almost the same piece count @GoldVillage You're right about the Volvo and I expected the same as you. They should have used pneumatics in the outriggers. About price I think it's fine, looking the piece count alone and pneumatics :P even it's cheaper than the Helicopter that has 1000 pieces. Of course, if the rumored price is correct. Maybe I am interested in the Volvo because it has pneumatics, it's the cheapest of the 2H and it should be my third Technic set after 10 Dark years that offers different parts to my current inventory :P
