  1. The Eslandian forces sent to the Prio Seas to make safe a new colony on the island Otoño quickly came to regard the work as dull and uneventful but fervently hoped for it to remain that way, deployments elsewhere seemed destined for conflict and these soldiers knew well how fickle the fates can be in times of war. As the masons brought with them constructed the small defensive position that would initially be their home the soldiers paid little attention to the activity except to remember to look busy when heavy lifting looked to be on the cards. Soon they were in possession of a sturdy fort, lacking in style, sophistication and enough space to swing a cat, which was a shame as rats seemed common. As they settled in to the routine of guard duty the soldiers reflected on their new home. DSCN9526 by Phadeout, on Flickr Some of the more thoughtful members of the team wondered why they had to stand guard duty outside the thick walls designed specifically to protect them from harm whilst on said guard duty, especially as they got their feet wet during high tide. Questions were also raised as to the ability to aim the cannon situated inside the fort, it was noticed that unless an enemy approached completely head on to the guns they wouldn't be firing much at all.. DSCN9528 by Phadeout, on Flickr Still for Sergeant Alberto Morales Mejia it was an opportunity to discharge his duty with competance, integrity and most importantly whilst being angry at all times, irrespective of the situation at hand. 4. As news of the Treasure Fleet spread like wildfire through the Brick Seas an enterprising groups of light fingered locals decided to see if they could "redistribute" some of the treasure themselves before it was loaded onto the ships. Having managed to find one of the warehouses by the docks the gang set to work, unwilling to confront the guards at the door they needed another solution. DSCN9548 by Phadeout, on Flickr It had all been going so well... DSCN9550 by Phadeout, on Flickr This treasure would at least make it safely to the ships, after that who can say.. 5. "News has reached me of a great opportunity to throw Eslandola into chaos, a great treasure fleet has been raised to bring the riches of the new world to the King and his court in Terreli. The perils increase manyfold now as you will make haste to your masters and give them these tidings, obviously my involvement will not be a subject of the discussion. So go now, back to Rassilon, Belson and Granoleon, spread the word that Eslandola's fabulous wealth is a jewel for the taking, incite the belligerent and cajole the weak-minded until all the ships of the Brick Seas are hunting this fleet." DSCN9541 by Phadeout, on Flickr "Now, they have gone I must thank you for the information again Castillo, so fortunate I was able to secure your release from the jail in Nova Terreli just as you overheard those guards talking about the treasure fleet wasn't it?" "Yes, yes it was, but if it pleases you sir, you seem to know everything already, I do not believe I was the first person to tell you." DSCN9542 by Phadeout, on Flickr "Well done, you are of course correct, I would be nothing if I couldn't find out information such as this without my own network but the truth is you have a link to someone of interest to me. I think it would be fair to say that you have no love for Alejandro de la Calle, his father is probably going to hang any day and although the son still rots in prison for a crime that never took place he will get out someday and would, I'm sure delight in taking some small measure of revenge on you for your part in his present circumstances." ".....ulp, yes..." "Let us say then that I will make sure the ridiculous legal system that is preventing de la Calle the younger's release continues to hold him for now, you put some distance between you, somewhere of my choosing, and you can be ready to assist me when i have need, as a way of showing your gratitude.." 6. More Brickinson! More Brickinson! Can't wait for more the whole story arc has been fantastic start to finish, awesome job.
  7. Lovely build and it seems like the political manoeuvring in BoBS may be going up a notch, excellent...
  8. Simple but very effective, really well thought out and executed.
  9. Love it, great ideas with all the different crops, the palisade bricks used to create the beds for the crops look perfect, very jealous of your two goats but the ramshackle construction is my favourite bit - it is really good all the way through though.
  10. That went very wrong for Phillipe very quickly! I really like the build, the hay bales are a very good idea, as are the previously praised roof, tower and carriage. GJ.
  11. 8. Otoño > Romanova > Celadon 13. La Sombra > Trader's Hold > Fontonajoland We can maybe save the masterpiece of naming that is Fontonajoland for an island worthy enough ;)
  12. I do love an educational element to the build - check. I also love a well constructed MOC - check. Sure a little detail on the green space would look nice but it is also a working area, I'm sure the conscientious Health and Safety Officer would have made them clear it up anyway when carrying out their risk assessment.. And well done in getting Weelond up another level!
  13. As I asked before, we would need to know if it is automated and working, if so then fine, whatever really, but my point was if we don't know what to look for we won't know if it is working correctly. Someone who knew what was supposed to happen would have to check on our behalf.
  14. Two points I'd raise related to that; firstly, is this process fully automated? Phred has been fantastic in fixing issues but if something isn't explicitly made clear we won't know if it is being left off of calculations or simply doesn't exist. Secondly, in the event of somebody placing a number of similar builds in the same location, which is quite possible as many builders build in the same settlement on the whole, it might be harder to determine what the effect is without wasting time and energy recreating the same scenario with a small change. Maybe on selection the owners of a new island could get a little more detailed info? Just an idea.

  16. Congrats on the frontpage, well deserved after all the effort in the building and storytelling
  17. This is what it is all about! These builds look even better combined together and it gives such a better picture of a slice of life in BoBS. I am going to have to try something on this scale, thinking cap on!
  18. Apologies, didn't see the page my ships were in for some reason and they've boh done really well - huzzah! And yes, I hope automation can solve some of the burden for Ska it does seem an awful lot of work on our behalf - sincere thanks.
  19. I believe I entered both the Gold Wing and Ultimo Fenix, the latter as part of the Dragons Teeth convoy but it was a long time ago and I wouldn't say I was 100% certain.
  20. That was a very strange experience! Looking at one of my old builds recreated but with fleshies instead of yellow faces. It is really nice to see, I love the "meta-story" too. Well played sir.
  21. I think we are going to enjoy having you here in the BoBS world with us
