Technic 2019 Set Discussion
Bartybum replied to dimaks13's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
@M_longer Looking at the site, yeah it should’ve been called a “ładowarka gąsienicowa”. I find it especially weird since they’ve already used that same word for the Volvo Zeux, so they know it exists. -

Just scroll up to the top of this page/bottom of the last page and you’ll find us talking about whether it’ll be from the OT or not... -

Lol, I bet that’s people just being people. I’m surprised they don’t call it a digger or bulldozer -

A bit, yes. Simple toy names aren’t worth such a strong emotion. I’ll agree though, it’s odd that they don’t properly translate it. -

I’m wondering this too. On one hand, Boba is much more popular than Jango, but on the other, we’ve got two Slaves still on shelves. It could honestly be either -
[TC15] Skycrane helicopter
Bartybum replied to Erik Leppen's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Looks nice, but I'd try make the tail boom thinner at the rear. -
Looks amazing, gotta say it definitely blows all the others right out the water so far. I think I'd prefer to see you drop out and actually take the time to properly finish this monster.

@efferman That's one of the first mods I'm gonna try add, right before rocker bogie suspension. -

But this is the appropriate venue... we’re talking about how well 42084 ticks all the boxes of Technic. -

Oh come on. It’s obvious nobody’s gonna believe you until you’ve got a proven track record, and implying that’s unfair is silly. Surely that’s not hard to figure out. -
Reverse engineering of MOC's
Bartybum replied to robert's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
When it comes to paid instructions I think it’s probably a grey area, and it’s best not to stir drama by giving away your reverse engineering. Although, if it’s sufficiently different I think it would be fine. -

Or the build quality is poor *cough* 42080 *cough* 42082 -
Reverse engineering of MOC's

Because other people may want it. I’m not really sure it’s an important question. -
[REVIEW] 42094 - Tracked Loader
Bartybum replied to Jim's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I find that mainly happens when putting together the ridiculous amounts of bodywork and structure. Springs, pneumatic cylinders, gears and other functional pieces are enjoyable to put together because they’re interesting, but putting axles and beams together hour upon hour is just laborious and starts becoming tedious. -

That’s a logistical nightmare though, not worth the effort.
