  1. Not that I’ll know how to help, but definitely post pics
  2. Awesome work as always. Your modules are such a welcome change from the endless amount of Brickworld ones that use hundreds of the same old modules. I can always rely on you to make something new
  3. Exactly @I_Igor, I swear I remember people complaining about dark azure in its beginning or something
  4. This is speculation at best. I haven’t seen any evidence suggesting that TLC don’t intend to use the colour again.
  5. @Tomas TECHNIC Save for the multicolour treads, it's quite nice. I really like how the brick-built shoulder LAs operate. Your MOC is a testament to just how enormous the actual set is gonna be
  6. I honestly think they'd probably do it.
  7. Oh hell yeah, this looks sick
  8. I don't understand what you're saying :S
  9. Yo WHAT Unimog tyres are massive though. They’d be way out of scale!
  10. I mean, except for adjustable suspension and rear wheel steering, it’s got pretty much the same stuff, and isn’t egregiously large or overpriced.
  11. Do you guys wanna know why it doesn’t look like Lego? Other than the wheel arches, almost the entire remainder of the bodywork is comprised of beams sitting axle-up, making the car look really boxy.
  12. Lol I thought you were Vietnamese. Gotta say, am liking it quite a fair bit actually.
  13. @Cumulonimbus I'd expect something in a similar scale to 42069, maybe slightly smaller, since many of those parts I predict will be tanked into bodywork
  14. Oh man that's a let down that it's gonna be the new Defender. Really not a fan of how it looks, much prefer the old one
  15. Relax dude, we'll find out sooner or later. I'd prepare for something like $450-500USD though
  16. Please be live axle suspension, please be live axle suspension, please be live axle suspension...
  17. We have good reason to assume it costs TLG money
  18. But Lego is making a product riding off the popularity of the Liebherr name. It can go either way really, who knows.
  19. Rationally thinking I can't even expect it to beyond $800AUD. I'll use 42082 and 42055 as examples, since both of these 4k Technic sets have had generous price points, probably because of part count scaling. Hence, I'd suspect the same can be applied here: They were both $400 for ~4k pieces (42100 has roughly the same piece count), but that was including a ~$15 battery box and ~$20 XL motor, so without them we'd be looking at ~$370. The new Control+ hub is a combined battery box and receiver, so the combined PF equivalent of that is ~$45. Times two, we have $90 for both hubs. The PF equivalents for the Control+ motors in the set are all ~$20. Seven of those make $140. That's a combined electronic cost of something like $230, which I'd safely say we can add on another $100-120 because of the smartphone app and more advanced electronics in the motors, for a total of $350 for the electronics. Add all that up and we get a total of $720, pretty smack bang in the middle of $700-750. I have no idea what the licensing fee could be, but I'd sure as hell hope Liebherr is generous enough that it wouldn't take the cost over $800. Since Bugatti pulled that stint with the $500 and $600 price tags for the 911 and Chiron, I'm really worried they'll use this opportunity to yank the price up another $100 because why the hell not.
  20. Oh hey if that's the cost including the 19% VAT in Germany, then it might only be $700AUD Guess we gon' find out
  21. Oh you can definitely count on that. I'm preparing for a worst case estimate of $500-550USD, where: [~4k pieces * $0.074pp (based on 42082)] + ~$175 (between 150-200) in electronics + 10-15% for licensing = $300 + $175 + ~$50 = $525 Of course add 10% and then round up for an Australian estimate, which brings it to $850AUD. Time to save I wonder if Canada will get an unusually ripper deal like they did with the 42083 Chiron?
  22. I think it might be worth moving the tyres and arches half to one stud outwards too, if the headlights can’t be moved. Looking at photos of the real RSR versus 42096, the real one’s wheelbase is really wide in comparison to Lego’s. Might be worth investigating
  23. So essentially they’d be high RPM, super low torque motors, right?
  24. But again, why is it their fault for being upset that it didn’t have the visitor centre? From my point of view they had a wish that wasn’t met, and are now exercising criticism of what we got for not being what was wanted by many adults.
  25. And if I had dreamed of a brick-built T-Rex that looked fierce, aggressive and had articulated legs to allow for some step posing, would it be my fault for being upset that what we got looked avian and tame, with no articulation in the legs? Where do you draw the line between criticism of execution and being upset that the set didn't feature something? To me they're one and the same, albeit on different levels.
