  1. Very kind, thanks! : )
  2. Thank you for your support!! To be fair, scale is never quite right in Lego (ex: the one Palace Cinema screen alone should be 12x bigger) because of space and piece considerations (applies to minifigure housing, too). Being Lego, folks can always enlarge the exhibits. But fair concern. In any case, perhaps this reaching their doorstep would at least show Lego there's a demand for some kind of animal-centered sets. Thanks RailCo! Gotta love the possibilities of Lego. : ) Thanks!
  3. Thanks! The elephant was in the build all along, but one of the last things I did was give it a "face lift" hahah Glad I did. : )
  4. Yep! That's the concept. They're "housed" behind the facade/entrance in 2-columns, each 4-exhibits high. But you could stack them into a single "Animal-vengers Tower" hahah or spread them out to be more like a traditional zoo in whichever order or arrangement you want. Here are a couple more images from the Ideas page: Thanks a lot! The water spouting from his trunk was my wife's idea.
  5. Hi everybody, A few months ago my wife mused that our city needed a zoo and thus, my first end-to-end, all the bells and whistles effort at trying to make something special begun. It's a zoo with modular exhibits. Depending on how you configure them, the play area can become up to 50" wide. Better yet, you can place all 8 modules onto a single baseplate behind a striking facade, which turns it into a modular building. 90-second video I recommend watching the 90-second teaser, but pictures are below if you'd prefer: "Ways to play" Here are just a few examples of all the layout possibilities: Exhibit Close-ups There are 7 exhibits and 1 food stand & lab. Here's a look at some: Facade & Modular Great for tidy storage and Lego city landscapes! Ideas & Flickr Links Lots more pictures here (no pressure to vote, of course.... not that I'll stop you lol): https://ideas.lego.com/projects/145483 https://www.flickr.c...th/28151428885/ Thanks for looking! Thoughts?
  6. All of this is awesome but I think my favorite part might just be how the white bricks make it look as though their is a fierce, windy snowstorm occurring (albeit, it isn't reflected anywhere else, and is actually clouds lol) that the griffin must fly against.
  7. I'd seen it said that the new baby mold means the next one might be a hospital, but I didn't think about those, too. Hmmmmm...
  8. If my wife can keep one then I'd go 10221 Imperial Shuttle, but if it's just one between the both of us then it'd be the Parisian Restaurant. I have a MOC in the works that may change that answer soon though.
  9. It could be used for underwater landscaping...
  10. This must've been pretty challenging to execute on. Well done!
  11. Neat idea for corner real estate.
  12. Looks great!
  13. Been looking at a lot of building MOCs lately and this one definitely stands out as one of the nicest. Kudos.
  14. This really doesn't even look like anything else. You immediately know you're looking at something special. Splendid.
  15. Awesome job. It looks great.
  16. Nice. I ordered the special Uncharted "sand blue" PS4 on Saturday. (Mine standard one was stolen earlier this year.) Hyped, indeed. Those purchased custom minifigs or ones you made yourself?
  17. Nice build. Creative idea and use of pieces.
  18. Thanks for the feedback. What about it do you think makes it clash so much, and thoughts on the direction that I should take it in? Yep!
  19. Thanks! I ran out of sand blue bricks so I had to depart from the style of the first two floors. So I definitely appreciate the positive feedback on the first two and the constructive feedback on the top one. I'll take that third floor back to the drawing board, with both of your recommendations in tow, once I catch a "second wind" of inspiration to work on this. Thanks again!
  20. Hi all, Presenting "Cloud High Rise". As good as the Town House looks, I'm not a fan of its counterpart as a double so I decided to use its parts towards my own creation. It's my modest first attempt at a modular or really any noteworthy MOC since coming out of my dark ages last summer. It's pretty hollow but that kept the Briclink costs to a minimum. White my focus has shifted to another modular MOC, honest feedback, critiques, and recommendations are welcome. Thanks for looking!
  21. You've cracked the code on how to create the Timeless River level from Kingdom Hearts with that Cafe Corner and Green Grocer. You could do a grayscale with just those to re-create a scene from an old movie, or maybe that one with Tobey McGuire. You could have a few people with gray/black/white clothes, give them gray hands and gray heads/hats/hair, and toss in one normal minifigure to replicate an "out of time" experience.
  22. I think the "move the modulars up" looks solid, but I don't like how it makes the modulars less "modular" in the sense that you lose the ability to easily move them around based on new additions to the city etc. I don't like "just tile the road plates", either. My wife gave some feminine input and recommended... greenery. Obvious but overlooked. Here are some pictures of our double Town Homes (auction sold some time back... not trying to solicit business... don't have a Flickr). Could be better pictures for showing the sidewalks but they should give you an idea. It's not quite how I would've done it if we had infinite money but we still like the result. http://www.ebay.com/...984.m1561.l2649
  23. Same. Seems like a nice community over there, and is the perfect one-stop go-to for news/updates/pics, and Ghostmind is a leading reason, but the requirement to give a non-free aka work email eh Disappointing, in a sense, if we don't receive a new Carousel (or Fairground set at all) this year, but my wife and I will be really happy if we get another one at all aka 2017. Same about a UCS Falcon.
