Doc Ock and Green Goblin each have Rami movie, Ultimate Spider-man, and "classic" variants. I'm only a fan of the latter but it makes sense. I don't follow DC too closely but 8 Jokers definitely seems excessive lol He's so iconic that I'd understand if they tossed him in a whole bunch of sets alongside the primary villain just to bump the price up, but they're almost all centered around Batman vs. Joker

Thanks for the stats. Villains. That's your answer. Spider-man and Batman are popular. Duh. My quintessential model is the Spider-man 3 dark-blue. I'm dying for a Symbiote Spider-man that's not a $200 Comic-con exclusive but aside from that, I could care less about his latest mold. But Spider-man for Marvel (and Batman for DC) are known to have the best line-up of villains. It's one of the reasons they're popular. That's why, as somebody who grew up on the 90s Spider-man cartoon, I'm really excited about the summer sets because of Scorpion, Kraven, the Goblins, and Vulture... and I would still like to see 1. Mysterio, 2. Kingpen, 3. Shocker, and 4. a legitimate Rhino. You also have the Ultimate Spider-man variants and of course there will always be new cartoons of characters that popular. Nobody else has as comprehensive a list of iconic rogues are those guys.

Cool, thanks. Yeah, most of them look a bit off. I'll like them regardless, but I'm hoping they look a bit better in person.- 4,155 replies

This still scheduled for May? I have almost $50 on eBay Bucks that has to be spent in April, so I'm hoping to pre-order a case (2 sets for my sister-in-law and her kids, 1 set and leftovers for us) on eBay for ~$200.- 4,155 replies

Post your general LEGO Star Wars questions here
Pedilego replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in LEGO Star Wars
At the very least, try posting in the Bazaar/trade section for a week or two and see if you get any bites. After eBay fees, PayPal fees, and shipping, you'll lose like 1/3 of the value on your figures. Perhaps there's somebody looking for clones who has OT figures or sets you want (so instead of buying those sets you can use that money towards army building). That way, both of you get what you want but don't eat seller fees. -
Bump. I've seen the OP pic via Google images a couple of times. Of the sets in the picture, since it was posted in '12, we've received a UCS Sandcrawler, another AT-AT, an ISD, an Ewok Village, a UCS Slave I, and a UCS Tie Fighter, and there's a new UCS Snowspeeder on the way (not exact matches between display pieces and actual products of course). Thoughts?

That's exactly why did it. I would say don't let them goad you, but Star Wars fans have no control lol Everybody complains about increasingly "unreasonable" price:piece value but buys anyway. I'd argue it's also sort of a US thing. The owners of the Boston Red Sox who also have a share in a European football franchise recently upped ticket prices overseas, fans actually revolted and staged a walk-out, and the owners reversed direction and froze ticket prices. Here, we just complain, pay anyway, and do nothing.

I don't know how you all do this every time. Speculation and rumors were fun at first but now it's just painful hahah Thought we'd have more info (perhaps pics?) by now.- 4,155 replies

Between 6 & 7? I definitely welcome a simplistic recap of all the books/comics/etc that have come out that cover that timespan. Does anybody that has a Jawa minifigure and a Hun Warrior CMF mind taking a picture of the Jawa with the Hun cape? I think his cape might match their look better than actual capes. Really, I think a skirt piece (so it drapes to their feet) would probably be best but they don't make those in brown. I might try a brown brick instead of their legs.

Ah ok thank you both. The modern PT minifigs/sets are so expensive, and the sets themselves are eh. It's too bad they don't make those small vignette sets anymore. Duel of the Fates would be pretty awesome. Better yet, I'd be all over an $80 Duel of the Fates ala the new Final Duel set.

Guessing we didn't see Anakin's pod because it's an exclusive, right? Did we ever at least hear the minifigs it's going to have?

We had been considering paying for the retired lighthouse, and this one is even better! I'm still curious to see the box/alt. builds, though.

Lego is doing this more often. They're packaging similar sets together at a higher price so instead of spending $25 for the part of the set you actually like, you end up buying a bigger one for $50. For example, rumor is the upcoming "UCS" Hoth set is basically a combination of a couple of the past Rebel base type sets and an AT-AT. If that happens, that would be the ultimate confirmation of this approach....

Neat! I'm happy you made a Jango mod, and thankful to you for sharing it with us. -
I'd like to submit a guess for the 2016 summer wave based on an article that popped up via a Google search to find out the subject had ever been made in Lego form before: http://www.groovebricks.com/lego-star-wars-bantha-coming-soon/ Would go nicely with the Sandcrawler + new Droid Escape + Mos Eisley Cantina

^Yeah, speculation is for a full-sized version. But woah that price. I feel like resentment towards Disney's handling of Star Wars is going to start building. There were TFA criticisms about lack of creativity (which I guess empowered Lucas to finally come out and the say the same thing in a recent interview). Same for the Battlefront video game. Both felt at least a tad vanilla, made for wide appeal. Battlefront is also the strongest offender of a huge controversy in the video game industry around downloadable content. DLC for the game costs as much as the game itself ($60) and the content/quality for the full $120 is still considered lacking. Similarly, we're starting to see Lego prices relative to the parts for the Star Wars licensed sets getting out of hand. It could be Lego acting on their own but I think Disney is forcing their hand here. Look at some of those constraction figures. Battle on Takodana for $60? This guy for $16 even though it has fewer pieces than the $10 Snowspeeder?

Yeah, I'd really like to know more. I want to pick up the BB Friday but will be annoyed if I end up buying what would've been a free modular polybag later. It obviously wasn't the value of a free polybag but I did buy 76015 thinking the same thing:

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
Pedilego replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
Investors aside, one of the things that makes Lego an attractive hobby is that the sets appreciate so if you're patient you could get your money back or better if needed/wanted. Further, those that did shell out $700 would be a bit disappointed that (a) they could've just waited and (b) they won't get a new modular if it comes in place of a new set. Basically, the only people that win are those that are interested in collecting all the modulars but haven't acquired Cafe Corner. Relative to the amount of people who already have it, you're upsetting the majority of modular fans. As happened with the Toy Shop... That said, personally, as somebody who paid for a Cafe Corner: It was easily the worst build in my mind. Especially the second floor. It could use an upgrade. If 1. an updated Cafe Corner was released WITH a new modular rather than in place of one AND 2. the original stayed above $500 so I could have the updated version and $300 in my pocket, I'd be ok with it. -
Took us about 6-months, but we're caught up from the dark ages; another week and we'll be able to fill in the gap in our setup!

So if we really are back to square one, who's at the top of everybody's list? My favorite Disney movies as a kid were Lion King and Lady and the Tramp but since the odds aren't great for getting animals, I'd say I'm looking forward to the classics: Mickey, Donald, and Goofy. Then I'll eagerly await the community's creation of a good Sora minifig. Up minifigs (grumpy man with balloons + scout with Doug) and Ratatouille (chef + rat) would be fun, too. You know at Disney World they have a real life Pizza Planet inside the Hollywood Studios park but they DON'T have a crane machine?? My wife and I went in specifically to try our luck at getting one of those guys...- 4,155 replies

Regarding princesses and validity, come to think of it, it would be surprising if they made the queen mold in Series 15 and didn't use it in the Disney series.. ^This. Speculation/theorizing is fun.- 4,155 replies
