  1. 2 Brick Suits? Now that would be something.
  2. I agree completely, though I think the sectioned version would probably look better.
  3. I'm hoping that the concept of marketing Castle to young children will not cross over to the new Castle theme. It should target at least the same range as themes like Nexo Knights, Ninjago, and even Star Wars. There's no reason Castle can't support a nice, large set like the Temple of Airjitzu, Kingdom's Joust, Ewok Tree Village, or even a Modular. As a matter of fact, I'd love a Forestmen themed Ewok Tree Village.
  4. Well it will certainly feel that way... But taking the time away from Nexo Knights hopefully means that they can put a stronger focus on Castle and really develop it to be something that speaks to what a lot of the fans want.
  5. And maybe a version of Jestro with his original appearance...
  6. Nothing new in my neck of the woods, as far as I can tell. I may end up taking the day off work for the release.
  7. I would imagine that the print could be removed without too much effort, but I'm also a purist so I'll have to wait for a version without the print.
  8. Awesome, you nearly have the whole set there! I'll have to go look locally.
  9. Thanks, that's a great looking minifigure. The lightning print is the worst element of the design. I'd love it if this helmet made its way into the next Castle theme without a print.
  10. I'm very excited about the Bala-Tik and Guavian Security Soldier minifigures, but I'm not as happy about the brick-built Rathtars.
  11. I understand why you bolded the section that you did, but I would like to emphasize another section of this quote about showing the designers what you want in a Castle theme. I think that this following thread would be a great place to do that: If not there, then maybe we could start a new thread. In that thread we could post photos of builds and ideas of the kinds of things we'd like to see in the next Castle theme. I also think that we should do so soon, since development of the next Castle theme should start in 2017 if it is due to appear in 2018. I know I've posted many ideas, as have several others, and it's great to have a thread like the above to collect all such ideas, making for a great go-to resource for the designers to pull ideas from. But no matter what, we also have to understand that your ideal Castle theme is not mine, and vice-versa. Some people want a heavy focus on Fantasy, others on History. Some people want to see a wealth of new factions, others want a return of the old. Some people want a new twist on the theme by choosing specific ancient cultures, others want a more traditional European Castle theme. No Castle theme is likely to appeal to every fan of Castle themes, as there is a great variety of what can be offered. Perhaps a series of polls could help, but those could also be skewed in many ways. Regardless, we should all celebrate the return of Castle when it happens, even if it doesn't completely cater to your preferences for a Castle theme, and hope that subsequent waves will include what you would like to see.
  12. I think that LEGO could successfully do Islanders. It's all fiction.
  13. I would too, but I'd rather not pay the BrickLink prices. It's silly that there has only been one release of the goat to this day.
  14. Not at all. As others have said, he's a good looking minifigure. I don't know why LEGO wanted to hide him and surprise us, except that it fits with the character's theme. Still, I really like the minifigure, and am even more excited about this series than I was earlier today.
  15. I could see that working, or using a printed top hat for the top tier, but I don't think they'll do it any differently from previous costumes.
  16. Boba Fett: The level of detail to which every minifigure should aspire.
  17. That's just silly. There is a limited number of games that can be successful with the split Joycon approach. This is not one of them. Too bad, I guess.
  18. I'd love to see that, too. Unfortunately, this will likely take years to achieve, as there are already many animals and food without corresponding costumes. They are also adding new ones every year. For example, this summer's City wave will bring a Leopard and a Black Panther. I'd imagine the costume would be the same as most others, with a brick piece that slips over the torso. Well that's refreshing news. Still, I wouldn't expect to see a cake shaped torso. I think, again, that it would simply be a cake costume that slips over the torso.
  19. As far as new pieces that would be great for Pirates, I agree that the new Machete piece and the bandana / bald piece are both fantastic contenders. I think they would be foolish not to incorporate both into the next Pirates wave. As far as the City Jungle sets being great for the Islander theme, I definitely agree. Aside from minifigures and vehicles, these sets speak to the Islander aesthetic. There are also new leopard and black panther animals in these sets, which, in addition to the Venus Flytrap, would really be fitting in the Islander theme. Beyond that, let's not forget the CMF Aztec Warrior and Island Warrior, both of which have great parts for use in an Islander theme. In fact, the more I think about it, the more I really want to see the next Pirates wave revolve around Pirates and Islanders. That was such a great era for the Pirates theme, and they could do so much more with it today.
  20. Ah, I see. It is my opinion that the brick in the above post is decidedly not a minifigure. Is it a character? Yes, absolutely. But it is not a minifigure. There is a very fine line as to what should be included as a minifigure part. The skirt slope is on the edge of that definition. The ghost legs and snake tails from Ninjago, rock legs from Nexo Knights, and the genie tails are definitely acceptable, and other pieces like satyr legs and peg legs are even moreso. These are made to replace minifigure parts in a minifigure assembly. But I wouldn't consider Jeremy from the Yellow Submarine set to be a minifigure, nor would I count any of the Angry Birds characters. Anyways, I think I'm getting a little off topic now, into the territory of "what is a minifigure?" rather than discussion of series 18. I'd say that I hardly expect to see anything like the above arm pieces used in a CMF series, and I surely don't expect them in series 18 (despite the costume theme).
  21. What piece are you guys talking about? The robot arms? Or maybe Axl's torso?
  22. Definitely, but looking at the projects I would say that there is little to no conflict between the 2. Voltron is the combined lion robot, while the Power Rangers is the minifigures in their base. I'd say there's room for both.
  23. And I'd say that Voltron should get it, but I'm old.
