Hello, I have been building with Lego technic and power functions for about 2 years now and like many others have discovered that the 7.2v of 6 rechargeable batteries is sometimes not enough for some creations. One day I found a old TYCO RC for free, looked at the battery and saw,"9.6v" I thought "SCORE!" and started making a adapter for it. I made this "Rat Rod" to test out how the extra 2.4v effected fast models. So enough talking here are the pics IMG_6020 by JJ2Sam, on Flickr IMG_6021 by JJ2Sam, on Flickr It uses: . Servo for steering. . 2 L-motors geared 3:1 for drive. . and obviously 1 custom battery "Box" The car was literately built around the Sbrick and has almost no open space in the chassis and it is very rigid for how small it is. The steering is regular rack and pinion and the L-motors were coupled together because there was sadly no room for a differential. I have not measured the top speed but I think it is around 6-10mph on a full charge. When I built the bodywork I tried to make it look tough and powerful almost like an armored bank vehicle. The battery almost took up all the space on the top so I had no room even to make a rough interior. I am not at all happy about the hood because of the steep angle and gaps but this was built just to test out the battery not to win a beauty award IMG_6024 by JJ2Sam, on Flickr Almost forgot the most important picture. Here's the video All pictures and more are on my Flickr account LINK Thank you for reading

[MOC] Baja Trophy Truck "Black13"

Good baja truck and I like the way you built in the motors into the hubs. To embed a video just make the text 14 like it should be and presto -

That worked try using the Axle Collection thread to find an axle that fits your needs. http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=92099

I had am idea on how to improve the idea so I built it in LDD. I made it where the mini turntable was centered on the 5x7 frames making it less reliant on part slack and then I made a rough spring mount, yellow goes on yellow. DOWNLOAD If you build the improvement could you post some pics?

Efferman's Custom Parts

Never mind I found something with further inspection that would fit my need that you had already designed. -
I have a couple to share. 1. You sort all your Lego pieces into colorized drawers to have easy axcess. 2. When you earn money the only thing you can think about is,"what lego can I buy with this. 3. You Lego rooms trash can is full of megablock stuff... 4. The Trashcan is made out of Duplo bricks. 5. When your family members break a creation you are more concerned about the Lego then them. 6. Spend %90 of your time with Lego-Eurobricks watching. 7. All your bookmarks on your internet screen are Lego related. That's all for today

General Part Discussion
JJ2 replied to Polo-Freak's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I dont really understand what you mean by,"having different height steering arms and for using as engine conrods." On another note will the ball part fit on a suspension wishbone?- 5,507 replies

[MOC][WIP] Steppenwolf
JJ2 replied to Didumos69's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Absolutely brilliant suspension! is there any chance of releasing the LDD file? How much slack is in where the wheels connect to the hubs using the 5.5L axle? I really want to build this or base something off of this- 45 replies

Wow I did not really understand how big this was until I saw the pictures! I really cant wait for the video! -
"2-Link" suspension is not as good as a 4-Link one because it has less travel, introduces a negative caster angel on the axle because when compressed it follows an arch making steering have more bump steer. 4-Link is much better because it can have MUCH more travel, and it does not follow and arch when compressed eliminating the variable caster. I believe Lego used the "2-Link" suspension because it is much easier to build, and has less side to side movement. Here are tow prime examples of the two different suspension types. and Hope this helped.
