  1. Thank you! If you mean the gray roofed shed, they are 8 x 16 tiles.
  2. I was inspired by a Facebook post to the Modular LEGO Buildings group by a person named Kade Rodgers to create this railway station. Here is the original version that comes from 2011 and was later demolished: This model was inspired by set 10199, Winter Village toy Shop. The building is open backed, and features a desk on the top floor and ticket counter with cash register on the first floor. ...and here is the newer version the above model was turned into. This newer model is modular, and as such has five removable sections that combine into one medium size station. Here you can see the track side of the station which has plenty of seats (16 chairs, to be precise) for waiting passengers to sit on. Here you can see the street side, where the public enters the station from the parking lot or can directly access the platform via the ramp. You can also see the stairs to the upper floor which is where the station master's office is. This is the inside of the station, with two ticket machines and six seats for the indoor passenger waiting area. The coal burning fireplace is still used on really cold winter nights, but since the last few winters have been mild in Ironwood, it hasn't been used in a good long while. Here is the old station master's office on the upper floor, which is off limits the the public. In more recent years it has been made to function as the employee break room / switch control tower for the tracks in the immediate vicinity of the station. The entire model is made up of five sections that come apart. They are as follows: first floor, second floor, second floor roof, left platform and right platform. Sadly, their is no LDD file available for thew new station. However, comments, questions & complaints are always welcome! (EDIT 7/13/16: After hearing some good suggestions about adding a ramp back onto one of my railroad stations, I have finally finished finding the parts for it and gotten some pictures taken of the updated model. Enjoy!)

  4. Johnny Thunder's office - version 2 This building was inspired by set Modular Building set numbers 10246: Detective Office, and 10190: Market Street. The first floor's look was totally taken from 10246, while the roof details are from 10190. The levels lift off like a modular but it lacks modular building pins, a base-plate and is not the proper size, being 18 studs square after all. Also, the year 1897 should be above the front door in printed black 1 x 1 tiles. Built as The Highlander Bar in 1897, it served root beer until Johnny Thunder bought it in 1918 after returning from serving in World War I. He then turned it into his personal office and living space. The back of the building features four windows, but no back door. The bottom floor holds the actual office with a desk + chairs, artifact display case and three large filing cabinets full of important contact information, treasure leads, and reports of strange occurrences, along with the occasional Vegemite Sand-which. The top floor is his living quarters, with a bed, table, stove, and telephone. The car sitting outside is Johnny's Treasure Raider and was built in 1924 to help keep Johnny mobile in high risk situations, such as being shot at by Lord Sam Sinister. in reality, the Treasure Raider is based off of set 7622, Race for the Stolen Treasure. (2008's Indiana Jones theme) This is a better version of the Treasure Raider that I made a couple months back. This vehicle features a spare tire, head & tail lights, plus a good old adventurer favorite: the classic two seat piece from way back in 1998 and last in 2013. Here is the LDD file for the car and building: http://www.mocpages....1427128673m.lxf Sinister Biplane Lord Sam Sinister bought this aircraft as military surplus from the British government after World War I. He had always wanted to fly during his service as a soldier, but the loss of his left hand in battle kept him out of the cockpit until after the war's end in 1918. Sinister modified the plane to suit his tastes to the point where it was unrecognizable as a former military aircraft. The supercharged engine was top of the line for 1921, and special hand... er, hook controls helped keep Sam flying. In reality, this plane is a modified version of set 4778, Desert Biplane ( link: http://www.bricklink...em.asp?S=4778-1 ) painted black and gray to match lord Sam Sinister's dark & evil personality. The plane originally featured a cargo compartment behind the pilot's seat, but I removed it to keep Bricklink costs lower. LDD file: http://www.mocpages.com/user_images/80135/1427912414m.lxf
  5. As am I... all hail DisneyTM!
  6. Ah, yes Warner Brothers..... DisneyTM bought them out early today, along with Dreamworks, Universal, all the defunct animation studios from the past, Youtube, all future studios from possible realities and alternate worlds, and all the anime studios. In fact, they bought your soul. Yes, you reading this sentence. We all must serve Big Mouse, and live in eternal bliss in this digital world of Walt's creation. (why else would hand drawn art be so much more expensive than CGI?) You just don't realize it.... yet.
  7. All hail DisneyTM! Walt would smile upon you from his cryogenic sleep pod somewhere under the Haunted Mansion! (DisneyTM said it's not under Pirates of the Caribbean, but they didn't say it isn't under the Haunted Mansion!)
  8. I just don't have the space. Maybe someday, I'll revisit it, but until then I do have a shed of the same size already built: I just need to take "real" photos of it now. Go for it! I'd love to see it in real bricks!
  9. First off, I don't think it looks cheap or dirty, just vintage with a bit of loving wear and tear. Also, thanks for the mention! Anyway, the wheels have to be flanged, blind, flanged, other wise it won't go round curves at all. That could be your first problem. Best of luck on the model, and keep on steaming!
  10. MOC pages is down, so until it's up again, it won't work.
  11. Yes, standard Lego wheels. I'll get right on the comparison photo. EDIT: here you go: for Eurobricks: version 2 on left, version 3 on right. The Version 2 model doesn't fit in my XL train shed, length or width wise! Again, two on top, three on bottom. I really think version 3 is WAY better.
  12. I think it's pretty solid, but you will have to ask Lightningtiger about it to be sure, as I don't have this one built. (I've already got two sheds, including one that is bigger than this, so I probably won't built it in real life anytime soon.) Thank you, but it currently is not in the plans to be built in real life... maybe someday. Thank you for inspiring me! Thanks!
  13. Thank you. I couldn't have done it without Anthony Sava's many helpful instructions which built up my arsenal of helpful tricks, and JD Davis' Daylight model. (from which the boiler was inspired by) and the Daylight project on Ideas, from whom the original version and the tender were heavily drawn from. Thanks also to all the people who helped trouble-shoot various problems with the first two models!
  14. It doesn't seem to be that heavy, and anyway the walls are Technic axled together. (plus the only connection to the gray panels is at the hinges at the top) The only part I would be worried is the base plate: the shed could come off the quite easily, but the rest should stay together quite well.
  15. Large Railway Locomotive shed - open sided style LDD file: http://www.mocpages.com/user_images/80135/1427740513m.lxf Topic: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=107649#entry2180229
  16. This railway shed was inspired by Shaun Baseby. (alias: Lightningtiger or "LT") He designed the basic frame on this shed with one of his town buildings, and I ran with it. The platform in the center is low enough 8 wide trains can drive by, but only barely. This model was inspired by the Roberts Building at the Museum of Transportation in St. Louis, Missouri... now all it needs is a clock tower in the center! side view. The model itself is 5 tracks long, but sits on a 32 x 96 stud base-plate (that's three 32 x 32's put together) This photo shows how tall the shed is. That's the Southern Pacific 4-8-4 Daylight number 4460 & my Brick Railway Systems 2-10-4 "Texas" number 6297 in there. The engines are also my longest to date, and they fit inside with room to spare. (The Daylight and / or Texas type are NOT included in the LDD file, by the way) And yes,set set 10014 Caboose can fit under this as well. LDD file: http://www.mocpages....1427740513m.lxf Comments welcome!
  17. Three is better than Two. I would say skip it, but then the plot makes no sense. Personally, I recently watched my favorite movie The Train. It's black and white WW II film from 1964 starring Burt Lancaster about stealing Parisian art by the Nazi's and the resistance's attempts to stop it. They actually blew up an old rail-yard to film a scene in this movie, along with wreck three steam trains at once in another sequence. A definitely good film. 5 / 5 stars from me and a 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes!
  18. Southern Pacific GS-6 "Forgotten Daylight" steam engine (version 3) LDD file: http://www.mocpages.com/user_images/80135/1437838341m.lxf Topic: http://www.eurobrick...42#entry2179960
  19. In keeping with my revamps of Museum of Transportation vehicles, I present to you this updated 4-8-4 steam engine modeled after 4460: the Forgotten Daylight. Real world background info on this type: During World War II, the US Government controlled the railway locomotive builders, one of which was Lima. Southern Pacific submitted a order to Lima Locomotive Works for 16 new 4-8-4 steam engines, (known as Daylights) which was turned down. Southern Pacific reworked the blueprints to have little streamlining, and not feature the Daylight's color scheme of orange, red and black. These new engines were painted in silver and black, and were also smaller. Lima finally green-lighted the order in 1943, but with one condition: Six engines would be taken from the order and given to the power-starved Western Pacific Railroad. Because of their smaller size and the fact they were built during WWII gave these engine the names "Baby Daylights" and "War Babies". Officially, they were called GS-6 and numbered 4460 - 4469. (GS meaning General Service or Golden State, and 6 because they were the sixth batch of engines.) Only one of the GS-6 type survives: 4460, often referred to as the Forgotten Daylight when compared to it's famous GS-4 cousin 4449. This model of the engine will be built as soon as funds allow, as it costs $170 US from five Bricklink sellers. This time the engine has new pistons derived from 4-8-0 Mastodon making this engine into a true 4-8-4 instead of having a two wheel pony truck at the front with two small wheels before the drivers but on the same frame. (this technically made it into a 2-10-4 before I fixed it.) Speaking of 2-10-4's, this engine is made to be the same size as that type, making them shed mates on my layout. As usual, the tender is the same one as before because if it ain't broke, don't fix it. The engine will have "SOUTHERN PACIFIC" in printed tiles on the tender sides, with "4460" on the cab sides and tender rear. Here is the steam engine 4460 waiting for orders sometime in it's working life. (Picture from the Facebook page of the National Railway Historical Society, St Louis Chapter) It is NOT my photo! Quoting Jan Snyder (who posted to my original MOCpage for this engine's first version): "I remember, very well, the 'funeral' held for the 4460--the last run of the SP steam engines. At the time, I was an 12 year old Boy Scout bugler who was asked to play taps. They had me stand on the engine, at the left front side, and the crowd of people seemed massive for a kid my age. A photo, published in the next morning's Oakland Tribune, recently turned up on a collection. That photo hangs on my office wall with fond memories." LDD file: http://www.mocpages....1437838341m.lxf Also, there are two parts missing from the pictures but are in the LDD file: the connecting rods that go into the pistons. These were giving me trouble so I put them next to the model. EDIT: And here is the locomotive in real life! Here is the side of the locomotive. (dang it - I just realized I put the the wheels on rear bogie of the engine too far apart!) This picture shows how much overhang (not much, really) the engine has in standard LEGO curves. This picture is slightly out of focus. Sorry! ...and as a bonus, here is a picture of the engine sitting with it's Lego counterpart: Today, the engine sits in a off-limits area (I received permission to take this photo from museum staff) and is barely visible to visitors, only by knowing where to look in the Roberts Shed and leaning over a railing can you see the beauty that is 4460.

  21. Lord Sam Sinister is in a evil partnership with Lord Ogel, dictator of the industrial country of Vladeck. They are currently (as of January 1925) scouring the world for an artifact named Poseidon's Trident, with the latest lead having them head for the southern tip of South America. Sam is accompanied by his personal battleship named "Sinister Purpose", two diesel-powered submarines, a new series of stealth aircraft and a small battalion of troops and land vehicles. He also has all his underworld contacts, including but not limited to: Senor Palomar, Alexis Sinister, Barron Von Baron, Max Villano, and more, ready to help him with his quest. Lord Sam's mission is to find the Trident and with it, help Ogel conquer the seas (and the world). His only real opposition is Johnny Thunder and his friends Major Quentin Steele, Jake Raines, & Pippin Reed, plus their small fleet of vehicles. This is Sam Sinister's personal battleship, the "Sinister Purpose". It features two anchors, three smokestacks, and four turrets. I have given the turrets the ability to move the triple-gun barrels up and down and swivel side to side. (In the real world, this battleship was originally designed for my brother, Austin, who later discarded the project.) Here is one of the two identical submarines used by Lord Sinister and his forces. This one is named the "Red Fox", while the other is named the "Black Wolf". (In reality, this submarine was gotten from Brickshelf back around 2011. I don't remember who did it, but it is Studs Not On Top, also known as SNOT, for 90% of the build.) Here is the LDD file for both submarine and battleship: http://www.mocpages.com/user_images/80135/1426187247m.lxf This prototype stealth aircraft is nicknamed "The Stalker" for it's ability to creep up on a target and follow without being noticed, before it blows the enemy craft into oblivion. (When Indiana Jones set 7683's (Fight on the Flying Wing) pictures was first leaked in dark grays, I was impressed... but then they went and changed it to dark green in the final, released version. Well, now I changed it back! I removed the unavailable parts, turned the regular green and dark green to light and Dark bluish gray. The cockpit is no longer hinged, making it much stronger, plus the rear guns no longer swivel, eliminating that weak point. The cockpit is supposed to be the Star Wars Jedi star fighter dark-bluish gray-print-on -transparent-black part) The fleet of vehicles at Sam Sinister's disposal includes two dozen fighter aircraft. These fighters are not as advanced as the flying wing above, but still can hold their own against almost anything thrown at them. (This model was originally set 6745. (Propeller power) I turned into that micro scale model into a plane that a mini-figure can sit in. it was turned from red, white, and yellow into a slew of military-looking grayish hues.) LDD file for the aircraft here: http://www.mocpages.com/user_images/80135/1426185143m.lxf This fearsome piece of machinery is used to cut down trees in the path of the land forces. It is currently being heavily used in South America as the search for the Poseidon's Trident grinds on in the Amazon Jungle. (I bought the original set 7626 (Jungle Cutter) in Summer 2008. I wanted to make it it in dark gray to match my two trucks but gave up after trying to order the parts from Lego. (I didn't know about Bricklink at that time) Well, now the shoe is on other other foot and here it is, in full grayish glory!) Here is a fuel supply truck of the convoy currently running back and forth from the battleship Sinister Purpose to the head of the group pushing further inland. These trucks are the weak point of Sinister's forces. Destroy them, you halt the progress towards the Trident. (This model is almost a stock part of 7683. (Fight on the Flying Wing) I simply redid the rear tank to keep it from spinning.) These trucks may be empty now, but usually they are filled with troops protecting the convoy searching for the Trident. (These are made from 7622. (Race for the Stolen Treasure) Since the fabric part is so VERY expensive, I found a solution in the Eurobricks Official sets LDD topic. I took the cover from the trucks built by user ADHO15 and redid some portions to be cheaper (I.E. thinner tires) and better coordinated color-wise.) This vehicle is one of many used by the forces of Evil to search for Poseidon's Trident. This particular car usually holds an officer of the Vladeck Armed forces, Special Recovery Division, which looks to capture objects of power through less-than-legal means. (The car seen here was originally part of set 7622, Race for the Stolen Treasure, as the machine gun hauling support vehicle. I have put a roof on it and turned it into a officer's car.) Here is the LDD file for the land vehicles: http://www.mocpages.com/user_images/80135/1426185434m.lxf Johnny Thunder will need to bring his A-game to stop Sam Sinister this time. Comments, questions, and complaints welcome!
