  1. A lovely digital model. Isn't there a famous whisky associated this ill-fated voyage? There is a good White Collar episode that features it.
  2. There are probably some Oleon captains who would toast the Sea Rat who ended "Splattersquawk". And grumble about how the Island Rose took so much Oleon coin back to the Crahaish.
  3. I would think that Rockwall isn't far from the Nestlands Embassy given the land description I wrote here. Geologically it makes sense. To read all the rest, go to this thread.
  4. For the green circle; there was a Kaliphlin settlement near there, but it has been abandoned in the past year. I have a character who's home is close as well. I also established lore for a werewolf clan that regularly traverses the Rakath from Nocturnus to Kaliphlin and back again. I'll have to search my builds for the particulars.
  5. When a ship financed by the Crahaish neh Triuri can make a significant profit in Granoleon, of course the Order of the Faith would be concerned. A lovely grandiose build.
  6. Silencing the privateer "Splattersquawk" was the reason you succeeded. Oh, come all ye privateers. Who's up for some sport?
  7. The Dark Narwhal captured?! There is no way Captain Prows would let that happen whilst he lived. The Island Rose in Granoleon?! How could a Crahaish neh Triuri ship make profit in a place dominated by the Order of the Faith?
  8. There is a specific forum here called Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds. To respond to a topic there you need a minimum of 10 posts (the same threshold for using the Private Message system). To create a topic there you need a minimum of 100 posts. This thread has the full guidelines list.
  9. Is Dark Claw going to happen here? Wolverine/Batman hybrid from the Amalgam Universe.
  10. Of course a Three Stooges pie moment happens when they try to decide who takes the first watch. With the pie gone, then comes the argument about who forgot to pack the boar jerky.
  11. Thank you, all. About the pink, for the sails and rudder I used the old pink, which is more washed out, so as to not overpower the lavender and violet. The captain's outfit needed the brighter pink to make the dark red pop. I don't think my techniques are all that innovative, but I had fun playing with shapes for the hull. That rear tie-down, where it meets the yardarm, was a bit tricky. It took four separate rigs, and repeated tries, to get the angles right. Such a pity that the Friends minidolls aren't in LDD. I have some ideas using those heads, but they and some other parts don't come in the colors I would need. I was going for a more Paradisa feel, but a ship that could sail the waters near Heartlake City is good. Those recolors, though well intended, actually make the build look more pink on my tablet screen. I think the blue background leaches the lavender and violet. The beauty of fantasy. And what fun is a build without details? I'm also always up for a good narrative. I greatly thank @Maxim I for purchasing the Puppy Hustler, which topped off the DBs I needed to license the Consort's Duty. Now, if only I can figure out how to most effectively use her in the MRCA.
  12. Here's another one to add to my private vessels list, the Consort's Duty. All of my ships are licensed, by the way.
  13. My latest ship is up. Meet the Consort's Duty.

  15. With the success of the Island Rose, the Crahaish neh Triuri invested in a much larger ship. Meet the Consort's Duty. (full image) The Consort's Duty (Class 5F) is the melding of a xebec and a junk, with a little lanteener influence. She was built by the same shipwrights that created the Island Rose. She is currently sailing from Nova Terreli to Trador, with a hold full of religious texts and artifacts. (full image) She is commanded by Captain Missa Drewsa. The shirtless man to her right is her long-time lover, Callum Dunn. Both are devout Truachesh Eslandolans. (full image) The man in the blue bonnet is Tavian deGrosh. He is tired of looking at Callum's tattoo. The pretty boy that spends too much time on his red hair is Tavian's little brother, Natan. "Lady" Julianne Caprice doesn't look like much, but under that heavy cloak are nearly a dozen throwing knives. Gina deLorenz mostly just answers to the name Swabbie. (full image) The Consort's Duty has two swivel mounted, breach bore guns. While the bores on these guns can only accommodate smaller than standard shot, their thickness allows for a more powerful powder charge behind it. That gives them a range long enough to allow the fast vessel space to avoid pirates. At the port side battery is Kindanna Swong. He was a native of Nellissa until he wed the woman at the starboard side battery. Sanya Time is the name most know her by. Fierce and deadly, she has worked decks since she was eleven. The Consort's Duty gets her name from the carving on the bow. The feminine form of the Triuri's Consort faces the bowsprit to suggest that it is the Consort's manhood. (full image) The strongman Felix Joe tries to not think about that while he prepares to throw the circular anchor overboard. (full image) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- There are another ten images in this Flickr album. To see all the little things I might have missed in my pics, and to figure out how I built that pretty hull, you can download the .lxf file from this Brickshelf page.
  16. Admius Legistrad of Eslandola = ALOE <edit> The Truachesh delegation is happy with the formalized document. We are ready to sign.
  17. Who started the brick costume thing? Could it have been me? I think I remember posting something about that, like over a month ago. I still want a "The sandwich saved me." costume. Netflix Marvel!
  18. Ska has been absent since he posted on Wednesday. No public additions to his Flickr page either.
  19. Admius Legistrad does work better. It makes it seem more like something with a Latin root. No puns in our government titles, please.
  20. I was thinking four regions. The tie vote thing I was promoting was when I thought the 'PM' was intended to be a chief executive.
  21. That would be 27 votes, including the 'PM'. Fourteen votes for a majority, and eighteen votes to be veto proof.
  22. I may need to raise the deck a brick height or two above the upper gun deck. I will have quite a time getting the sides symmetrical. Getting a realistic sail plan may be what I'll need help with next.
  23. I think if we should be able to vote in all zones we build for in each election, but only running for one zone seat is a good rule. Also the TC and independents seats should only have one vote, instead of three. Passing legislation should be 50% + 1 vote of the total assembly. The descriptions make the "PM" the head of the legislature, and the Continental Council the executive branch of government. This is backwards from what I thought the titles meant. I always thought of the Continental Council more like the US Senate, and the Colonial Council like the US House of Representatives, both being legislative bodies. If our national election is for the head of the legislature, and not the chief executive, then any variation of the words minister or magistrate would be misleading terms. I might then go with Adminus Legistrad. This person would then be voting on all measures. A single character with a bock of three votes seems reasonable. I still think all legislation that passes into law should merit a signing ceremony MOC. Flags, desk, wall, signer, and characters who supported the legislation.
