  1. I don't think that you should be so hard on yourself saying that 'this bit was from him and this bit from her'. It's beautiful and because it isn't all copied from other builders and the bits that are are so varied and adapted you can definitely call this model your own.
  2. I'm not trying to mock anyone or put across any bad feelings but we don't really have much to go on so while we come up with all these conspiracies about Lego putting a half second picture of a car in an advert, that doesn't mean that we will get that car so 'don't start getting your hopes up too much' is all I'm saying.
  3. I'm going to break this model up soon, is there anything else people would like me to do before it is gone?
  4. I would but I don't have enough ball joints/wheels. However, I know of a website called bricklink...
  5. You're right, it can climb over pretty big lumps like shoeboxes but that is different to stairs because of grip problems. It is possible with EV3 though
  6. That wasn't the specific goal but it can do that if the stairs aren't too steep
  7. I'm sorry but I don't quite get what you mean here. Thank you so much for spending time on fixing this, it really means a lot (that sounds so clichéd and cheesy but it does so thank you!).
  8. I've made this model in LDD and it should be attached below. It isn't very good because I couldn't get the motor to fit, get pairs of gears to mesh or add the flex axles. I've shown gears using different coloured bushings: Blue bushings are 8-tooth gears, white bushings are 12-tooth single bevel gears, yellow bushings are 12-tooth double bevel gears and orange bushings are 16-tooth gears. If anyone would like to finish it off for me I would be very grateful. Thank you, Jim. Wheeled snake.lxf
  9. I impressed that you managed to build this at such a big size and at the same time as your 2045 Mercedes Benz truck. This will definitely have my ten points. Thank you for sharing this amazing model with us.
  10. Thanks. I'll try using Kiwi_Builder's idea when I have time
  11. I could try that but it would mean redesigning the whole snake
  12. I tried that but it wouldn't allow the body to roll which I wanted it to be able to do
  13. Hello all, This is my first MOC I've shown on Eurobricks and I hope that you like it. I would also like to say that this model was greatly inspired by madoca1997 and Nico71 and their wheeled snakes. The model is a 10 wheel drive snake with two XL motors geared down 7.68:1 and no steering. The model is built out of five separate modules each joined together with a 4610380and a 4610379. To stop it from swinging side to side I have used two 6L rods to join each module. The suspension is done by bending a flex axle over the join between each module which still allows 3 DoF but holds the model upright. There is no steering but I might try and add it at a later date with a servo and some string. Pictures: And a video: Please leave me your views and comments. Thank you, Jim
  14. You did WHAT! How could you!? Just Joking! Its looking good though.
  15. My favourite technic photos are these three, both taken outside around my house. Cheers Dr_Spock
  16. Some really nice looking models there. Are they all built on the same design of chassis or are they all completely different. Also that video and the whole atmosphere; lovely and really well done. Thank you for sharing these models with us.
  17. Thank you! http://www.brickshel...ar/dscn0531.jpg And the blurry one: http://www.brickshel...ar/dscn0512.jpg Its still not working? They are at 800x600 pixels so why? Thank you
  18. I use a bad camera but it takes some quite nice photos with a torch as a backlight: http://www.brickshel...ar/dscn0513.jpg http://www.brickshel...ar/dscn0532.jpg And a slightly blurry one: http://www.brickshel...ar/dscn0512.jpg PS. Does anyone know how I can get the photo to appear here as an actual photo, not just a hyperlink?
  19. Hello all, Just yesterday I was trying to build a camera vehicle to assist the filming in one of my new MOCs and was using an XL motor as propulsion. It was working fine until suddenly it stopped working. I went over to it and saw that the battery box was still on so that wasn't the problem. Everything was still in the right place so I figured that it was the motor that was the problem. So I went to the wire in the back and pushed it and the motor started working again. However, when I stopped applying pressure to the wire it stopped working. Is there any help or advice about what to do about this anyone could help give. It would be very well appreciated Cheers, Jim
  20. You could build an interesting crane with 12 axles but, as other people here have said, it would be too big. You could scale it down onto some tiny wheels (personally, i was thinking you could use 30.4 X 14) which could be interesting
  21. I love the look of that go kart. How is the steering done though - Is it similar to how it is done on 8256, a previous Technic go kart model? I also loke the two pullback racers. Will they have a B-Model made from the parts between them like previous pullback racers or not because the colour scheme would be a bit weird.
  22. This is a very nicely built model with a good blend of old and new technic. One question though, what motor are you using?
  23. This is a really impressively sized model and it looks fine. Perhaps it could be geared up a bit to make it a bit quicker
