I'm thinking this will be the piece we get this time around, though recolored, obviously:
-
Cool! Wait a minute- "What [you] think is the smallest set"- does that mean the $20 set, or are the extra set(s) that you've alluded to even cheaper? If the buzz is right, Crossbones is pretty much only in the market scene with the New Avengers team, where Widow and Wanda are in civilian garb. We might get Wanda, but frankly, we don't need her in another civilian outfit. We know Black Widow's in a smaller set, and it could be this one. If somehow we're lucky enough to get civilian Black Widow, MCU Falcon and Crossbones in a small set, that would basically complete half the wave's appeal for me for $20. C'mon Lego, bend your decisions to my own personal whims! Edit: Super Ninja'd. I need to write faster. This is wonderful. I hope they finally give Widow a face that looks like Scarlett Johansson.

Raminator- I love your Falcons. I was using Nightwing's torso for my purist, but I must admit, your Tremor is a better choice. I probably won't upgrade because we're getting close enough that I can keep using mine until we get the official. As to Falcon hair, we FINALLY have an option that works, and I presume it will be the official hair come next March, unless they go bald. Unfortunately, it'll cost you at least 25.00, just for the one piece: http://alpha.bricklink.com/pages/clone/catalogitem.page?M=sw676#T=P

I can't speak to accuracy, but the first design flows better with the car. Edit: Having looked at reference photos, it looks more accurate, as well.

Holy cow. Just2Good, if you knew this much for the whole time you were dropping hints, then I admire your self-control; I would have been bursting at the seams to tell people. I hope you haven't ruined your relationship with your sources, you seem like a great guy with enormous pressure put on you to reveal things. I get the sense I could trust you with almost anything. On another note, does everyone else think that the LexCorp truck will be almost exactly like the Cho Research truck from the Quinjet set this year? Or is there some example that's even closer, like the Grodd banana truck?

[MOC] Sleeping Beauty Castle and Cinderella's Carriage
N_Cat replied to Stephle59's topic in LEGO Licensed
Wow. I'm often frustrated because I don't own the right piece for a task. But you do an amazing job making the "wrong" piece do the "right" task. Amazing! -
Ooh, looking forward to what you got. Also, I'm not making a Punisher, but you're absolutely right about Blacktron 1. Almost definitely the best option.
-
And does- it's the first post of the entire thread, and updated whenever there's new information.
-
I think that their point (correct me if I'm wrong) is that discussing which figures we might get can be interesting, but listing which figures you want has become tedious to many of us.
-
That's fine. Just making sure you remembered the option.
-
Not quite true- We do have that racer! Just kidding.
-
The CMF 4 Punk Rocker has a black skull shirt. It has subtle Latin American Dia de los muertos stylings, though.

Yeah, I have to agree with you. Cap and Supes are about equally common. I liked the recent Avengers run by Hickman, which featured Hyperion, but seriously, nobody cares about Hyperion. He's a one note parody of Superman. But yeah, Marvel is tied up in a plan, and so they can't just give us the best figures like DC can, they have to give us the figures that won't interfere. In a year, DC will have the same problem. But at least Captain Marvel and Thanos are completely comparable to Darkseid/Cyborg. Man, we are on the same wavelengths. Hawkeye has had two different costumes already, and he's not going to be a central character to the film like Iron Man, Captain America, Winter Soldier, Falcon, or even Agent 13, Black Panther, or Black Widow will be. Add to that what Marvel said about merchandising their female characters in the film, add to that the hints that J2G has been dropping about Crossbones and Ant-Man, add to it Lego's propensity to put Spider-Man in everything, and there's really no room for Hawkeye's new costume. There's still a chance, though. If he doesn't appear, I bet we get another Hawkeye wave after this one.

You are absolutely right! Excellent observation! I'd had Deja Vu about that set's announcement, and you've placed what from. Thanks!
-
What is Hawkeye holding? I don't recognize that purist piece.
-
This all sounds really nice. I mean, I certainly won't be getting the Skull Submarine set, or all the racers, and I might just bricklink Captain Marvel, but seriously, none of it sounds actually bad. The racers sound fine, and the figures in the sets seem reasonably varied. Good on ya, Lego. You've earned my respect (if not my admiration) with this current crop of sets. And thank you, Hulk_Smash! I'm grateful that you actually put valid information out for us, rather than clues or lies. Thanks!

The wings are both fitting and clever. Good job!

Oh my goodness, if this is it... I'm not that sad!!! Yaayy! I can order more plain legs off Bricks and Pieces for like, 6 cents apiece. I mean, they won't be printed, but still. I was incredibly worried about some new weird combined mold. Short legs is a little sad, but not the disaster I feared. Celebration time for me!

Yup, it's (in case anyone couldn't ID it) from Tauriel, who was played by the same actress as Hope.
-
I still haven't come up with a satisfactory Wasp suit, but I'm okay with this version of Hope van Dyne.
-
Eh, I don't know. Carol has become a feminist icon on tumblr, and specifically in her current design. The old outfit is considered to be less empowering and more objectifying, at least for her. Whereas Wonder Woman has long been an icon and symbol of empowerment in her classic costume. Also, I like her newer costume more so I'm grasping at straws to justify my choice.
-
I'm almost positive they'll do her in her Captain Marvel costume. First, the Captain Marvel costume is well designed and popular, while the Ms. Marvel costume is currently taboo because of its sexy nature. This goes doubly for a children's toy. Second, the whole point of AA was to make a show that better matches the movies, and she'll be Captain Marvel in the films. I hope they make sets for the eventual CM film, but given Lego's attitude to heroines, there's a chance that they won't. (Assuming I'm right) I'm grateful for getting Captain Marvel now for MCU MOCs.

DAAANNNG it. My order of events: Me: "I hope we get a Captain Marvel this year." Nekchir: "Actually we're getting a Ms. Marvel in a 70.00 set." Me: "Hmm... that makes it hard for me to decide." Everyone else: "Nekchir was lying!" Me: "Oh, good, now I can save my money from what sounds like a terrible set with one half decent figure." J2G: "Actually, we're getting a Captain Marvel in a 70.00 set." Yay, we get one of my favorite costume designs of recent memory in Lego form, but with Hyperion (a one note character) and the Avenjet (the ugliest vehicle I have ever seen)? I mean seriously? Welp, if J2G is more honest than Nekchir (which I think/hope he is), Bricklink, here I come!
-
Let's see... I bought a Hawkeye torso off Bricklink as part of a larger order. But my most recent set was the 76036 Carnage's S.H.I.E.L.D. Sky Attack, and before that it was the 76039 .Ant-Man Final Battle.

Iron Fish: Season 1 Sheriff outfit (this is my suggestion): For Winter: For later seasons of the show: or or, if these are too difficult, just use the basic plaid piece:
