I dunno, the set photos and promo art aren't great quality, but it looks the same. The helmet is the same, the pants are exactly the same, and the chest is still red surrounded by black; the main difference seems to be that the colors on the arm are reversed, and it's not as though Ant-Man got any arm printing the first time. It feels like Cap's costume in this film or his golden age suit in Winter Soldier: not redesigned, but rather (barely) touched up. I honestly don't know how they could make much of a difference on the figure without giving him a new helmet mold, and I don't know if they'll do that. Maybe he switches costumes halfway through to reflect his new power, but otherwise, I don't think they need to include him.

[MOC] Zombies - aargh braaains!
N_Cat replied to AmperZand's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
Nice. The only things that seem out of place are the female zombies' hairpieces. Classic zombies shouldn't have their hair up, it would get messed up with all the brain eating, and then they can't redo it. Use the long stringy looking hair or something.- 8 replies

And the Iron Skull Submarine is a transforming jet! Also, all the Racers are jets! Even the Cap racer, which is a tank, is also a jet! All the minifigures in the entire line are being replaced with tiny brickbuilt jets!

I highly doubt it. TT Games always distorts expressions for fluidity, just like they do the body positions. It's definitely the AoU figure in the game, as seen even better in this promotional art. Also, Lego wants brand consistency across platforms and materials, so they'll use the same figure. On the other hand, the Vision figure was based on concept art, and as a result, the green is too light, his face is too pink, and most frustratingly, the stone in his forehead is blue. I can't imagine that Lego would reissue the same physical figure now that we have a finalized design. Mark my words, if we get another Vision in the Civil War sets, they'll at least correct the stone color.
-
If there's a Civil War jet, it's 3 Marvel flagship jet sets in ONE year. Which is ridiculous. There's also the Blue Power Jet and JLA Javelin out in the past year as well. Lego, cool your jets.
-
I'm guessing that Giant-Man will be part constraction and part brick built, because that's exactly what we got with Hulkbuster this year.
-
Not confirmed, no, but Just2Good has heavily, heavily hinted at some kind of unusual figure for Giant Man, a la Groot.
-
Fred67, if you do paint, I highly recommend that if you do paint, you paint these trans-red wings. Falcon has translucent panels in the center of his wings, and while you can paint any color on top of trans-red, you can't paint trans-red on black, grey or dark blue.

I'm still confused- can you list the set number(s) that each Robin head in the stack belongs to? Or link to Bricklink for the parts? I can't keep these heads straight. However, assuming your interpretation of events is correct, congratulations on being an anomaly!
-
Sorry, still a little confused: did you see the IM space armor, or just hear that it was white? By the way, these are the two options I could imagine for white space Iron Man armor: Based on this information, the most likely option to me is that either AA will debut a new white space armor, or Lego is making their own design for the figure, not based on any prior source material.
-
Yeah, no I got that.
-
Oh, no idea. The space suits in Avengers: EMH were mostly white, which is why I think people assumed that, while the new ones in AA were almost exactly the regular designs with weird glowing circles and emblems. Unless someone who saw them corrects me, I assume they'll go with the more recent designs. EDIT: Alright, then. That's cool, I guess. Do you know whether it's the Gemini, aka Starboost, from IM3? Also, do you know if the design I posted for Cap is the one they're going with? Or the EMH design? Or their own original design?
-
For those who haven't seen, here's Cap's space outfit: It looks pretty much exactly like a normal Cap costume, but with a glowing A, star, and a few extra circles. Though not in the picture, his boots are dark red. Not super exciting, unless the helmet is a separate piece or we get molded (dark blue)-(dark red) boots. Is the clip available online somewhere? I couldn't find it.

No, he said Lightning Lad is a cube minifig, and that he'd like it if NJ was also a cube minifig.

No problem. You should see the whole movie ASAP, though, because it's wonderful. Though I don't think that particular figure is real, I would have absolutely zero problem with getting Nurse Joker, and I would kill to get Luke Skywalker hair in more colors; it might literally be my favorite Lego hair.

It is possible that the set is focused around stopping Thanos from getting the Gauntlet. Then it would make sense to have both.
-
No, you misunderstood me. I said that there was probably already a prototype, AND that the color is wrong. Seriously, rewatch Dark Knight; when his hair is that shape, it's reddish/orange. Like, Black Widow reddish-orange. They went to the efforts of modeling a prototype in game for accuracy over other pieces at their disposal, and made the hair the wrong color. But enough. I know we're off topic, so I won't drag this out any longer.

I even addressed that point, 8BrickMario. The silly part isn't that they got the part right, it's that they got the part right before it existed and got the color wrong despite that having existed for ages.

I'll guess... this one will have a printed chin, and might even be a reprint of Darkseid. I bet the one that comes with Guardians 2/Captain Marvel/Infinity War (whenever we get an MCU Thanos) will have a molded chin. I have no evidence whatsoever to support this and am totally guessing.

I prefer Arkham Knight 1, and I don't know which version of Booster Gold you're going for, so I'm not positive. What about this torso: or this one .

Here's a relevant but weird fact: the Black Widow hairpiece is a physical version of the Nurse Joker hairpiece. That is, the Nurse Joker appeared as a digital figure in LB3 first, then they made Black Widow's hair with that (non-existent) mold. The even stranger part is that Black Widow's hair is great for Nurse Joker, BUT they used a green variation for Nurse Joker, despite Black Widow's hair being pretty much the right color for Nurse Joker. So even though they might have modeled Nurse Joker based on, say, a prototype Black Widow hairpiece and known that it would later exist, they were inaccurate for the color. In other words, TT Games managed to be accurate to Lego system, before the parts even existed, but inaccurate to the character design of one of the most famous characters of a 6 year old movie.

Oooh, that's a relief. I don't mind Iron Man Ultimate Showdown inaccuracy sometimes if it gets us figures, but knowing that there is a movie accurate vehicle there allays a lot of my fears.

Alright, does anyone have educated guesses for what builds will be in the small set? I can imagine how they'd do a $13 market set: a tiny stall and a few crates which you could knock over, and maybe a Black Widow motorcycle. However, $20 feels too large to do something that unsubstantial. I'm not positive how Lego would do a $20 combat set piece. Does anyone have examples of sets in that price range that we can compare to? Edit: I was thinking it wouldn't have any major vehicles, though having looked through Brickset, I'm starting to think that was naive. There are no Superheroes sets at this price point where the majority of pieces didn't go towards a vehicle, if you count Ant-Man's ant is a vehicle. Basically, Lego will shove in a vehicle regardless of its relevance to the plot. However, in themes that didn't take place in industrialized societies, I was able find some examples of $20 playsets from the last 5 years: In general, these sets represent large chunks of landscape rather than buildings or structures. This makes them poor candidates for the market set. Because there is so little overlap between Superhero $20 sets and playsets, I'm unfortunately forced to conclude that the set will have Crossbones stealing a semi truck the length of a pickup while Widow and Falcon chase him on motorcycle and wingpack.

I think you're right, but I'm no longer positive. As I see it, we have four options: 1. Good old fashioned Lego male hair. Surprisingly, it's not too shabby: It gets the job done, is relatively compact and mimics Mackie's hairline well. The only downside is the lack of texture compared to modern Lego wigs. 2. Bald. This also works: This one looks pretty good. The obvious downside here is that it allows only one face, and, y'know, Mackie has hair, so it's not totally accurate. 3. Lego's piece: It's again compact and tight to the skull, which is nice, but looks nothing like a buzzcut, and Mackie has no widow's peak whatsoever. And then the Finn's hair way. I think this is the most likely. Boyega's hair looks a lot like Mackie's and if that's how Lego wants to represent that look, that's how they're going to represent that cut. But it is a little poofy. But really, as long as the face print is designed with the hair (or lack thereof) in mind, I'll be happy no matter which one it is.

I know, right‽ When there's this many of the desirable characters in the smallest set, what's selling the larger sets? Hopefully something really good!
