  1. I still don't think we are getting an Ant-Man figure, but if we do, that's a great solution to the open face issue! And I can't wait for Spider-Man either. I assume that any merchandise we get of him (at least for this film) will be of the rumored makeshift costume, rather than the more traditional look he'll inevitably receive.
  2. Oh, wow, that's a really, really brilliant solution to the Racers leg problem! It only makes sense if you already have Hulk, though. If you don't, it's $7 USD just for Hulk legs; $7 + $10 for the racer is more than Goblin is going for these days. I don't have either, so I can't help you.
  3. Interesting! On the whole, I like it! The other costume was designed to be "retro, but not too retro" or something like that, and this update is clearly sleeker and more modern without changing the overall style. The new suit is similar enough that I don't need a new figure, but just different enough that a new figure won't feel completely redundant. Edit: If we get a new helmet mold, I will totally get it- the current one works great for a classic look, but a new one could be even better for the MCU. However, I'd heard Lego molds were absurdly expensive- wouldn't it be weird to replace a mold after only one use, only 1 year later, just for aesthetic reasons?
  4. I know. It's almost the principle of the thing to me, though; having the rigid, solid plastic pieces feels more like Lego to me. I understand doing capes or sails with alternate materials, but when there's the option, I like the more durable, longer lasting part, even when it comes at the price of movie accuracy. The new wings just feel like a cheap flimsy knock-off to me. Brick built wings could work, though in my experience they fall apart easily. But I'm not kidding myself. This is just what I want; what I expect, on the other hand, is more of exactly what we've gotten lately.
  5. Though I don't see how you discerned that from such a tiny picture, I do hope they use that part; even with incorrect colors, it’s still my preferred solution for a purist Falcon. Lego has printed that specific part in the past, so it's not impossible. However, Lego hasn't made use of this mold lately, even when it would have been highly applicable. Instead, they’ve been opting for a flexible plastic sheet, as with Hawkman, or leaving out the wings altogether, as in the case of the Comic-Con Sam Wilson figure. Regrettable as it may be, any physical MCU Falcon will presumably have wings made of the flexible plastic sheeting, à la Hawkman.
  6. The most attractive set to me was the Goblin/Spider one. Somehow, outrageously, I still don't own a single pajama Spider-Man, and comics Goblin is only in the Juniors set. However, with confirmation of the short legs, I may not buy any of them, because Goblin on bricklink is only around $12 USD, so I might as well just spend the money there. This doesn't make them bad, though! I am still so glad Lego is making them, for kids or collectors who've never had the chance to get, say, Catwoman or Bane. Way, way more people will be able to have the specific characters they want than before, and most of them won't care about leg printing.
  7. Probably comics, as he appears that way in the Avengers Assemble show:
  8. Yup. The downside isn't the figures themselves, it's that the Quinjet had just as many in a much smaller set.
  9. It's certainly possible. Personally, I doubt Marvel will merchandise Doctor Strange as much as they did Ant-Man, and they didn't even do that much for Ant-Man. I think even a $13 USD Doctor Strange set (a la LotR's Wizard Battle) would hit the sweet spot just fine for most people, but they'll probably boost it up to $20 to get their extra bit from those few Doctor Strange fans.
  10. Hah, good one. And I guess she will eventually be available elsewhere.
  11. Yeah, I totally picked up on that. Of your four, number 3 is by far the closest to the movie effect. Not that the others are bad- they're really, really good for implying superhuman speed, they just aren't imitating how Age of Ultron did it.
  12. Weren't all the Jurassic World exclusive figures technically representing specific characters (the kid who fell in the raptor pit, and Omar Sy's character)? And both the dinosaurs had names too. But point taken. One very well could be generic.
  13. Could be nice, I guess. What's the point of the sticker sheets, by the way? Someone said something about the Quinjet, but I didn't understand.
  14. First off, this is NOT mine, it's from JaredChan's amazing AoU MOC: but what I really like is that his speed effects are wispy. In the movie, they are translucent white-ish wispy lines that almost resemble lightning bolts. The only problem is you can't chain them together. If you wanted that, you might have to go to the old flame/water spout pieces with the side pegs. Has anyone tried that?
  15. Okay. In the fantasy I'm used to, the usual implication is that they were dead and zombified for a while, not like a plague epidemic where people keep on getting freshly turned. Regardless, the hair I was suggesting is this one, which is solidly female. This one and this one are also female without implying "modern." But I'm sorry for criticizing. You've done a good job assembling a variety zombies from the Lego library. The capes and heads are all fitting without being uniform, which is nice. And by the way, I have no problem with the weapons. In fact, I like them.
  16. Looking back, MCU Lego hasn't been perfect in giving us the whole teams. Specifically, we didn't get Nick Fury or Maria Hill in the first Avengers film, and we didn't get War Machine in the Age of Ultron wave. There are reasons for Widow being prioritized over Vision. Black Widow has been a Cap supporting player and her role will likely be larger than Vision's. Marvel toy companies have been called out repeatedly for gender incongruities, so including her is important. Black Widow could be in a civilian outfit; if so, it would make her figure exclusive. I absolutely agree that the next Vision must be and will be better than the recent one. It's just that we still only have knowledge about three Civil War sets, and with so few figure slots I doubt that he'll be in this wave. If the fourth is a large-ish set, maybe we'll get Hawkeye, Vision, Ant-Man, MCU Spider-Man, Zemo and War Machine. But as it stands, I think we'll get maybe one or two of them in a set, and maybe another one in a polybag.
  17. Hey, now. We got Ant-Man well before most of Europe. No need to feel aggrieved. But yeah, I hope we do get them in January.
  18. Agreed. The torso, hair and pants are all solid choices. Maybe the Sabine or Karai head would work?
  19. Sounds like Hyperion to me. I hope Carol's in it!
  20. Not to mention the Tony Stark civilian figure! We've absolutely been lucky with Iron Man. My point is that even though Iron Man can support many variations and figures, Hawkeye/Vision/Ant-Man might not, at least not with that frequency. When kids can also get them on the same shelf in an existing set, it slightly reduces the appeal of both sets. Obviously, I'm just an amateur. If Lego's market research says multiple Hawkeyes or Ant-Men will move more units than Black Panther or MCU Spider-Man in 2016, I defer to their expertise. I didn't think Friends would sell, and look at it now...
  21. Good point. EVERY Marvel set from 2014 AND 2015 is still available; the relevant AoU and Ant-Man sets will still be here come March. I think Wanda and Widow are only exceptions because Marvel is trying to make up for a spotty record. Well, Batman and Iron Man were in nearly every set in their respective lines for years, too. A few characters are perennial draws for kids, but most aren't.
  22. Hahahaha Wow. I'm honestly so confused. What's the purpose of the catalog you saw? Seriously, how does that info help retailers, marketing, whoever it was intended for?
  23. Clone, just wanted to let you know, you're doing an awesome job. That first post is awesome: clean, accurate and readable, and it sticks to confirmed details. Seriously, keep it up. Because it was just brought up, I do notice there's not much about the Juniors set there, though. The Loki/Iron Man stuff has been known for a while, so I think it's real enough to mention there. I am surprised Loki and Iron Man are reissues. Lego MCU hasn't reused minifigs from older waves before, so that's... kinda cool to know we could get old/rare minifigs again. It makes the set less attractive to those of us who already have those particular ones, but it makes sense- current 6 year olds were only 3 when Quinjet Aerial Battle came out, and Loki is popular.
