  1. Dear Bank of Corrington, We greatfully accept your terms. - Count Mesabi Check your PMs @Bregir Oh, and I'm just going to register this as a build in Mesabi Landing. I can do better for properties.
  2. Hi, so I didn't license the WTC Aurora as my free class 2 so right now, as far as I can tell, I'm sitting at 11 levels. WTC Aurora = 2 WTC Beacon = 4 WTC Icarus Returning = 5 Total = 11 If this could be amended to having the WTC Aurora be my freebie, that would be great. I do not want to have to buy ship levels at the moment. Secondly, As I am the sole proprietor of he WTC (Though anyone is willing to join!) Please Consider Count Mesabi and the WTC the same entity for the time being.
  3. These have some decent torsos and other minifig pieces, but I don't see any value in having 4 more batmans.
  4. I can't continue to support these, if my organization is going to be denied recognition. OOC: Great take on the concept! Is the lantern on the Garvey Trader custom? And if so, where from?
  5. Man, you really knocked it out of the park with this one. It's so unique. It's so well coloured. It's not the ship we knew we wanted, but it's the ship we needed. Only criticism is she's a little boxy. What are you licensing her as?
  6. Location: Mesabi Landing Tags: Buying Levels Purchasing Levels by North White, on Flickr "What do you mean we're broke!" Yelled Count Mesabi "Well, um... Since Ships take a while to get to port, we're currently almost out of money." Said Darby Tyler Purchasing Levels by North White, on Flickr "Heh, zould have been born a Ezlaner." Said Dmitri, not looking up from his book "Shut it, so what do we do?" Asked Count Mesabi "Take more loans out I guess" Said Darby Sadly. "Maybe the bank of Corrington can help us. It's not like anyone's going to donate to us after all the chaos you caused." Purchasing Levels by North White, on Flickr "Well, pen a letter to the bank of Corrington." Said the Count Purchasing Levels by North White, on Flickr Dear Bank of Corrington, While we are already in massive debt to you, we'd like to be more so. We need moneys. We need moneys fast. What must we do for moneys? Sincerely, Count Mesabi CEO of the WTC FIN Thanks for viewing this build for purchasing more ship levels. Assuming I ever get the money to do so. Anyone is free to donate! The build was originally my design for Oktoberfest, but I decided it didn't fit Weelond enough. It fits well in Mesabi Landing, however.
  7. As much as I love minifig scale ships, This one is fabulous. Good to see you haven't absconded, Eurobricks needs your humor! And let me say here, I am not half the writer you are, and I pride myself on my writing. Please stick around Pombe, You're a awesome.
  8. @Elostirion I'd love to help, if you'll take me. Whatever you do, please write down what the npc nations realworld counterparts are. I.E. It would really help me if I knew that Varcoast was an analogue to Russia or something.
  9. Very nice build! I really, really hope this is an actual ship and you're just to coy to post the photos. If not, it's still a very nice scene. Is that a custom hat, the tricorn with brown ridges? It looks nice. Oh, and could you make your photos public?
  10. So, I really hate having to ask this, but at this point with my builds, I must. I'm working on a new ship, actually 2, but there's no way I can finish them properly before October 10th, mostly because It'll be a bit before pieces arrive. Can I start my adventure, say I have these 2 ships additionally, and have them arrive later in the story? Like, they're carrying extra supplies and are slower, or will ren de vue with me somewhere? If not I understand, but I unfortunately, I need to ask.
  11. Well, I'm going to call it. Time to hand out the prizes! @Bregir You have won a free Large property constructed by the WTC! We've chatted in PMs, but I'll try to have it complete by 2018 @Keymonus You have Received a free medium Property constructed by the WTC. Please PM me to confirm where and what you want constructed. @Maxim I, @Professor Thaum, @Bodi. You all will receive a free small property in a settlement of your choosing, as long as you PM me by the end of October. Unfortunately, you will have to License the build as one of your's for the month. I will however, fund it.
  12. Nice build Legostone The Windows and the bookshelves are spectacular. The candle is really nice as well. My build is like going to be the Count in front of a wall.
  13. Alright folks. I bricklinked a bunch of parts to build a new ship, and this is what I have so far. WIP Ship by North White, on Flickr It's a little, well, awful. I don't know what to do with it because I'm almost out of white and red bricks. The thing on the back is supposed to be a greenhouse, but it sucks. HALP!
  14. Welcome @Flavius Gratian! Glad to get some more Corries. Great intro build too, can't wait to see what you come up with.
  15. Looking good Spud! I think you might have some trouble doing the deck, because hinge based ships are hard to deck, but good luck.
  16. So, I've been looking for Custom Lego instructions lately, and I've come to the disturbing realization that there are almost no instructions for custom pirate ships. I'm looking because I want to learn some new techniques, and maybe even bricklink a model. Which leads me to my two problems. First, there's like no colonial era/pirate ship instructions on the web. Second, the ones I found didn't have parts lists. I don't mind buying instructions, but I won't if they aren't willing to tell me what I need to build them. I mean, lego is expensive, and I want to know how much I would have to spend to actually build the model. Can anyone help?
  17. Nice build @Elostirion! The grass that you did was great. Are you going to license this, or no? And if you do, as what?
  18. I like pretty much all of where BoBS is at. The way I look at it, is that it's a smorgasbord of all of the age of sail. And, it does romanticize a lot of it. I mean let's face it, Columbus was a genocidal maniac, and the discovery of the new world made slaves a massive commodity. And that's just to start. But, let's not be social justice warriors here or anything. We're playing a game. And it's a fun game. Personally, the only problem I have with the lore of BoBS is the Kracken. I would like things to be more realistic. Me too actually! I'm a double major in History and Political Science. I think there's just some unwritten rules in regard to historical accuracy, where no one does anything ridiculous, or anachronistic. I mean, we're all here because we like Lego pirates, so we all come in with expectations of what we want to build.
  19. Great Figbarf @Ayrlego Did the two of you coordinate, or were you just inspired? And I held my tongue for the first one, but what do I have to do to get a WTC marine in one of these?
  20. I can't seem to figure out what the build style is for Weelond. Is there a page written somewhere saying what builds should look like, or do I just go off of previous MOCs?
  21. Neat little build Wolf! Good writing too.
  22. Who says you were invited to either?
  23. Great to have another Corrie! I'm sure @Lord Buckethead will be glad to no longer be the rookie. Well, out of character, we mostly just compliment each other's builds, argue over challenge 5, and fill out web forms. In Character, well that's up to you. You can cause chaos, or work to create your own trading company, or join one of the existing ones. Really, just make good stories. That's what I try to do, since I'm not a great builder. The world of BoBS is big, and there's many places to visit. I usually plan out a month or two ahead, get distracted by something, and build for that. Oh, and nice boat! I'd like to see some more pictures of her.
  24. Well Built @Lord Buckethead! And a great story too! I can't wait to see where the story goes! Minor Criticisms. First, your photography is fine, but I'm not loving the black background for everything. It makes it look like everything is set at night (which might be the case, but I wasn't sure). Second, your images are a little small, I can barely make things out. Finally, I'd love a map of where you are right now! If you don't know how to make one, I could probably whip one up for you. Finally, I'd love to see some pictures of the entire build. Keep up the good work, mate!
