[NTSC] Minichallenge - The 617 New Terra Soccer Cup at Trador
Mesabi replied to Maxim I's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Just FYI, I got my team registered. And what's with all the teams popping up past the deadline, did it get moved again? -
Very, Very nice. The grapevines and the structure on the build really give the build some life. Where did the hats for the Blue guys come from? I don't recognize them.

Thanks! Light bricks are fun. Wish I had cheese slopes. I was only able to bring essentials to college, so I have a stack of BURBs, and a stack of regular pieces. But no cheese slopes... Sums up what I have total, although I did order more on ebay , and I'm waiting for it to arrive. Glad you like it! I do plan to do a build based on the outcome of how my team does. As for the boardwalk idea, I'll try to be better, but I ran out of brown pieces building the boardwalk in the build. Again, dorm life.
-
So just to be clear, going to University is more or less the same as going to college. Anyways, here's what I was able to bring to college. Dorm life by North White, on Flickr Dorm life by North White, on Flickr All are full of lego, and are in my desk. Anyone else have anything they want to show off?

This is nice, but I can't currently justify it's price. I hope this works well for you. I'll keep using my very shaky hands.

Location: Trabor Type: ????? The rowboat landed hard on the beach of Trador. "Why are we doing this again?" Asked WTC marine Sally "So that Count Mesabi can prove the WTC's Prowess in soccer as well as in commerce." Answered Joe, the one eyed Marine Invasion of Trador by North White, on Flickr Slowly, the WTC marines disembarked, Walking their way up to the beacon house The Customs officer greeted them. "You here for the football cup?" "No, we're here for the soccer cup." Said Biff, the squad leader "The what?" The Customs officer seemed confused. "Can we just kill him?"Asked Sally "Then we'd be disqualified. You read the rules. Murder is only allowed if their is a dispute over betting." Said Joe Invasion of Trador by North White, on Flickr Several marines groaned. They walked through the customs house and lined up, ready for the big game. Invasion of Trador by North White, on Flickr From right to left: Jackie, Joe, Sally, Kruschev, and Biff FIN Thanks for viewing my build. This concludes things for august. I'm not sure what to license this as, It's kinda a lighthouse, kinda a customs house. So, please let me know. This is my first build from my dorm, with what scraps I dragged with me, so the quality all around isn't great. C&C appreciated, and I'm glad to have participated in this challenge. More Pictures

So, did you like spoil something, or did the rules change again. These rules looked pretty cool though...

The Empire of Corrington: Sign-up and Discussion
Mesabi replied to SkaForHire's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
I should be able to put up an entry for the WTC, but no promises. I bricklinked a bunch of tusken raider torsos for occasions such as these. You going to do my minichallenge?- 897 replies

Why is it a "Nasty Tower" It's excellent! I would love to see a picture of the interior structure, the structure is lacking that.
-
Very nice MOC, I really like this build. The window bars are very nice, and the styling is very nice. The only thing I don't like is the upper turret. I don't like how it's just a half minifigure mounted on a cylinder. I think it could be a little nicer.

Mesabi replied to Bregir's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Nice little build, Bregir. I didn't know they made those pillars in gold. Might have to bricklink some. Oh, and is Count above the rank of knight? Asking for a friend.- 3 replies

[COR-FB1] Mesabi Landing, Fort Agravia
Mesabi replied to Mesabi's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Thanks! Working on texturing ground is on my big list of stuff I need to work on. I would say however, this is a flat beach, so I should get some leeway Thank you! I wish I could have done more, but college was coming man. That's my excuse today. Thank you! Well, 1 of the drunken horses... I got really lucky in a Ninjago CMF pack. Hope you find some before they kill your wallet. They're going for a 1 USD on bricklink right now, and there's 3 sellers. Stay tuned!- 8 replies

[COR - Aug FB] The Falling Leaf Tavern, Otoño
Mesabi replied to Ayrlego's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Another Beautiful build, Ayrlego. But it kills me you only have 1 picture of it from 1 angle. I mean the photo quality isn't bad or anything, but I think it would allow more story telling opportunities, and I really would like to see more of your buildings. Also you never seem to do interiors for your builds, what's up with that? -
Gah, missed this thaum. Nice ship! I'd like to see the professor, however, he's really what makes your builds and stories shine.

Location: Earth Tags: Assignment The Elevator in the Yamato building took Captain Mesabi to the 601st floor in just a few minutes. Another miracle of Modern Technology Captain Mesabi thought. He walked to the entrance of the briefing room. New Orders by North White, on Flickr A Kawashita Stormninja stood in front of the entrance of the briefing room. His ranking was far above Mesabi. His eyes were hidden behind sunglasses, and his face covered by a ceremonial bulletproof ninja covering. He grunted at Captain Mesabi "Business?" Asked the Stormninja "Captain Mesabi. Secret Mission." Replied Captain Mesabi New Orders by North White, on Flickr "Head inside." The Stormninja moved aside New Orders by North White, on Flickr Captain Mesabi walked into the briefing room where Mister Baxter and Mister Fischer stood in front of a holographic console. New Orders by North White, on Flickr "Captain Mesabi. You're record precedes you." Said Mister Baxter "When other Kawashita team members in Andromeda went MIA, you kept up the fight." Said Mister Fischer "Thank you." Said Captain Mesabi New Orders by North White, on Flickr "So let's go over your mission, Captain." Said Mister Baxter Mister Fischer pressed a button on the console. A blurry hologram of a space station appeared. New Orders by North White, on Flickr "This is the only image of a station located somewhere in Andromeda. It was created by the Omega Group, a mysterious group that has operated in the shadows since the first forays into Andromeda." Said Mister Fischer "We think they're developing a weapon. But that's just speculative." Said Mister Baxter "So you want me to?" Asked Captain Mesabi New Orders by North White, on Flickr "Find it. It must have sustained damage in the radiation flares, so personal on the station may have been evacuated. But again, this is all speculative." Said Mister Baxter New Orders by North White, on Flickr "And once I've found it?" Asked Captain Mesabi "Report back to Headquarters. A ship will be provided, once the portal to Andromeda is reopened." Said Mister Fischer "Ready your crew. Prepare them well." Said Mister Baxter "Thank you sirs, I'll leave immediately." Said Captain Mesabi "And one more thing. Octan will be looking for this as well. Stay vigilant." Said Mister Fischer Captain Mesabi left, his mind only on the new mission. New Orders by North White, on Flickr FIN Thanks for viewing my first entry into AG2! I can't wait for the rules to come out and for the game to wind up again. In the meantime I'll be over at BoBS. C&C appreciated, yes I know the picture quality isn't great, I'm just trying to get this out before I leave for college. No fear though, Captain Mesabi's adventures will continue from my dorm. Oh, and fun fact, the doors actually work in this build. I just felt like telling y'all that.

It was another busy day in Mesabi Landing with the construction of Library of Learning. Count Mesabi was showing off the new structure to his beloved wife Agnes. Library of learning by North White, on Flickr "This structure will finally put Mesabi Landing on the map!" Said Count Mesabi "Because Libraries are such tourist attractions." Replied Agnes "I think you'll like it." Library of learning by North White, on Flickr "Who's the librarian? She's new." Asked Agnes "I don't know, she just kinda appeared when we started putting books in." Replied Count Mesabi "Huh." Library of learning by North White, on Flickr "Check out this rug! I special ordered it from MAESTRO." Said Count Mesabi excitedly. "It's a little small. There's a lot of boxes in here. Are you using this as storage!" replied Agnes "We only have like 20 books. it's a shame to waste the space." Agnes sighed. She walked over to a bookshelf. Library of learning by North White, on Flickr "This is a heavy book. A history of Corrington. Hmmm...." She hurled the book at Count Mesabi. Library of learning by North White, on Flickr The book knocked him over. He grunted in pain. "Now, let's talk about building me a house, SO I DON'T HAVE TO SLEEP ON A SHIP ANYMORE!" Yelled Agnes Count Mesabi sighed. FIN Thanks for viewing my latest build. C&C appreciated, but I do know the build could be a lot better. I kinda ran out of time before I leave for college. Which is thursday. . That and I dropped it once and had to rebuild it. Oh well.

Well, pictures would help, but I would take inspiration from other underwater mocs. These are both decent examples.

Great Build Ayrlego! Took you awhile to get out of Nova Malto though, I was out of there a month ago! (If you're thinking this is an indicator of Count Mesabi's cowardice or eagerness to leave a bad situation, you're probably right)

Next MCRA - Infos, Dates and Maps
Mesabi replied to SkaForHire's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Really sorry if I offended. I have no issues with any of the staff. That's why I added the disclaimer that I was being a jerk. Again, I'm really sorry for being disrespectful, Elostirion, and I mean no ill will to you or any members of the team. I understand that you guys don't have a lot of time to dedicate to this, and I respect that. This is what I'm talking about. I'm annoyed that disagreements between the staff have delayed the MCRA so much. That's what I'm getting at. Please don't let differences between what your vision is for the game impact everyone's experience of the game. That's not what any of us want. And please don't take this post as any means of disrespect towards anyone. I just want you guys to come together and make an MCRA. And as Bregir has pointed out, that seems to be happening, so I'll shut up. -
Count Mesabi by North White, on Flickr Official Press Release from the Wayfarer Trading Company: Private investigators, police officers, adventurers and bounty hunters of the Brick Seas! Voting criteria: Creativity in investigation and in filling in the holes in the story I will not vote in the challenge, except to break ties, or if something "fishy" happens You must be a member of BoBS to vote or participate in this challenge Prizes: 1st Place: WTC will build and license a large property in the settlement of your choosing And, you decide what really happened. Fort Agravia by North White, on Flickr "So, this is my office. And bedroom. And kitchen. And dining room. I hate it here. Did I mention that?" "It can't be all bad." Said Billsby Fort Agravia by North White, on Flickr "Here's a book of emergency procedures to follow in event the WTC does something stupid and or bad. Let me read you a snippet." Said Mason "Okay?" "Code 403. If the WTC is to summon a deity, extradimensional demon, spooky ghost, or the kraken, you are to destroy Mesabi Landing and it's inhabitants." "Wait how on would they even..." "Code 404, huh this is missing. Okay 405, if the WTC is to cause Eslandola to go to war with Corrington, you are to destroy Mesabi Landing and it's inhabitants." "Wait how are we even supposed to do that?" "I'm glad you asked..." Fort Agravia by North White, on Flickr "Recent developments in military science have allowed us to create new more powerful weapons, things that can really, really, do some damage."
