  1. So, I have some questions. First, right now Count Mesabi and the WTC are one in the same. How would I separate the two, and what would be the rules of separation? Would the WTC exist as an entity that can license three builds a month as well, in addition to ships and what not? And as the CEO of the WTC, would I just be able to transfer funds back and forth? I don't want to just separate them ATM, but I do want the WTC to get a monopoly like MAESTRO, eventually. Of course, MAESTRO has like 10 people and I am just 1 in the WTC. Though, anyone is free to join me, just PM me! Second, are towns able to start an AMCRA? or just people/corporations. (Because Corporations are people too )
  2. Location: Mesabi Landing Type: Freebuild After touring the factory, Agnes decided to finally investigate the claims of " succulents introduced to this island from further east bears sap ten times sweeter than sugar cane." She took one of the few remaining horses on the Island, and rode southeast, until she came upon a strange plant. The Sweetest Fruit by North White, on Flickr She dismounted, and began flipping through her book on Horticulture. The Sweetest Fruit by North White, on Flickr She found an entry that matched the description. Papaver somniferum, Commonly known as Opium Poppies, these flowers bear large fruit that can be used as painkillers, or a recreational substance. Realizing the market potential of a "recreational substance," she took a sample of seedlings, and rode away, with nothing but profit on her mind. The Sweetest Fruit by North White, on Flickr FIN Hi everyone, Thanks for viewing my build. Yes, it isn't very detailed, but I just wanted to do a quick introductory build for the next part of Agnes's story. So, I'm going to ask the Leadership here, ( @Bregir, @Kolonialbeamter, @Legostone, and @Capt Wolf) Can the "Succulent 10 times sweeter than sugar cane" be opium? Because I really want to be a drug czar, for one, and when I first read the description, I was like, oh this is totally opium. If not, please suggest what the mystery crop of the island is because I have no idea what it is if it's not Opium. If it ain't opium, I'll change the story accordingly. Take this as me asking for permission, instead of going ahead and having to ask for forgiveness, like I usually do. Anyways, I would like to start building Plantations in Mesabi Landing, so I'd like to know what the crop is. Again, thank you, and C&C appreciated.
  3. I was told when I did a lighthouse that it was commercial. I'll defer to the leadership here.
  4. I think Commercial, since it helps commerce.
  5. I have nothing but respect for @Bregir and his builds. Count Mesabi, on the other hand, sees Montoya as the guy who lost Nova Malto, wouldn't let him go to war with Carno, and keeps him out of the Royal Science society. I know it's a fine line to walk, but I cannot emphasize enough that Count Mesabi is an evil war lord who causes chaos. But the thing is, he's just one of my Characters. If worst comes to worst, Agnes, or Darby will take over. I'm glad you enjoy how I play Count Mesabi. If everyone hated how I played, I wouldn't play him like this. Honestly? I think it's more fun to have enemies in this game then allies. Again, I have nothing but respect for @Maxim I, @Bregir, and @Ayrlego but I think it's more fun for their characters to dislike me then to like me. There's something called a "Mary Sue" protagonist where it's written all the other characters like them. I'm more of an Always Sunny in Philidelphia Guy, where the characters make tons of enemies, and I play Count Mesabi that way. Yup! For the record, I would a bit be annoyed if @Bregir uses this conversation in his stories, since this is like a personal conversation story, and in universe it would be weird if two Tellvok merchants went and told Montoya all this. But, if he wants to, he has that right.
  6. Location: Mesabi Landing Type: Medium Factory With the Count Away on some half baked adventure, it was up to Agnes to keep the peace in Mesabi Landing. Today, she toured the New Cannon Foundry. The Foundry by North White, on Flickr "So, give me a tour of this place." She said unhappily. It was hot outside, and hotter in the Foundry. "Yes of course, countess." Said the foreman, John Slader. The Foundry by North White, on Flickr "First, we make a mold of a cannon with a sand clay mixture. We usually use a MAESTRO cannon for the mold, and engrave 'WTC' On it." Said John "Good to hear you're using the WTC's business model." Replied Agnes. The Foundry by North White, on Flickr "Next, we burn wood to melt the iron." The Foundry by North White, on Flickr "We melt down iron for the cannons. Usually we use iron pellets, but any old iron will work." The Foundry by North White, on Flickr "The melted iron is poured into the mould, which is mounted on these rails." The Foundry by North White, on Flickr "We move the mold out of the the way, and let it cool." The Foundry by North White, on Flickr "Once the mould has cooled, we remove it from the cart, and take it outside. Afterwards, another mould is attached to the cart, and iron poured in." The Foundry by North White, on Flickr "The Cannon is chipped out of the mould." The Foundry by North White, on Flickr "Finally, the Cannon is mounted, and it is slowly turned into a chisel, hollowing out the inside. Once that's finished, it's brought to another factory for the mounting." The Foundry by North White, on Flickr "Impressive set up!" Said Agnes, unusually impressed. "Thank you!" Said John. FIN Thanks for viewing my build for a factory in Mesabi Landing! I took everything from a "How it's made" video. It is a medium build, it might not look it, but it has 1024 studs total, which equals 32x32. C&C appreciated!
  7. I view Count Mesabi as chaotic evil, or at best, chaotic neutral. He likes Corrington, but he likes himself more. He's no idiot though, he just pretends to be one. Fiiiiiiiiine I'll cover it next time.
  8. It was the third day in Tellvok. Prince Maximilian was feverishly working on negotiations for properties in Madin. But Count Mesabi was getting ready to move on. Supplies had been bought, and the city held little for the Count's plans. But overnight, a messenger had brought a note to the Count. It simply listed an address, and the instructions, Come Alone. Naturally, the Count was intrigued. But wandering through a strange city without one's Guards was not safe. So the Count brought a guard, and left for the building listed on the note. Soon, he arrived, and entered. Another day in Tellvok by North White, on Flickr The room was small, and smoky. Two figures sat facing the door. "Count Mesabi" Said the first figure. He was yellow skinned and dressed in green garments. "We're glad you made it. My name is Hafiz. This is my associate, Kojo Aziz. We are both very important traders here in Madin. Tell your guard to wait outside. At please, have a seat." The Count sat down. "Well, I'm here. Is this an assassination? Because I'm important enough that if you try to murder me, It would be an assassination." He said. Another day in Tellvok by North White, on Flickr Hafiz chuckled. "You are just as what we have read. We first heard of you during reports of the whole Nova Malto affair. And yes, we get the news out here. Such a strange affair, and so strange you would be made nobility as a result. But who are we to question Ra? And that brings us to what we have brought you here today for." Hafiz took a large hit from the Hookah on the table, and then let the smoke bellow loose. Kojo chimed in. "You've dealt with Eslandolans before, and your WTC is a competitor, albeit a small one to MAESTRO. We would like to know what their intentions are for Tellvok." Hafiz coughed loudly. "You see, Tellvok is at war with the Mokolei states. Their forces must cross the mountains to reach us, but recently they've amassed a large force in Deliah." Count Mesabi replied. "And how does MAESTRO fit into your war?" Kojo answered. "We were helping you could answer that for us. Are they here to strike as soon as the Mokolei dogs draw our forces away?" Count Mesabi rolled his eyes. "What? No No. Lord Maximilian just wants to make more money because Eslandolans are obsessed with money, and you guys have a ton of it. He'll probably put a dozen of your traders out of business or something, but he's not going to attack you. Now Corrington on the other hand. We're trying to establish relations with the Mokolei. You should really worry about Corrington." Kojo and Hafiz looked at each other, then turned back to the Count. Another day in Tellvok by North White, on Flickr Count Mesabi continued. "I mean, I was all like 'We should invade Mokolei' But then Montoya was like "No Count Mesabi, I'm a weak leader and I believe in diplomacy, so we'll send a bunch of men to march all the way across Mokolei instead of taking a boat and getting there really fast' So I'm like, 'Screw you guys, I'm going to see what's in the south.'" Kojo looked perplexed. "You mean Corrington is allied with the Mokolei Pig-Dogs?" Count Mesabi replied annoyed. "No, they just want to establish relations or whatever." Hafiz looked confused. "So Eslandola wants what then?" Count Mesabi continued, more annoyed now. "More money. And you guys have money, or at least you will have money until you spend it all on their apples and rugs." Another day in Tellvok by North White, on Flickr After a moment, Hafiz replied. "Well, thank you for your honesty, Count Mesabi" Count Mesabi sighed. "You could have read all that in the Eltina Courier. But, the best way to thank me, is to give me a hit of that." FIN Thanks for viewing my continuation of things in Tellvok. Storywise, I wanted to do a build showing Tellvokian's options of @Maxim I. Hope he's happy with this. C&C appreciated.
  9. That explains a lot.... Well, I'm off to enter a ton of builds into the sheet...
  10. Hey, does the regular Build submittal form actually do anything? I just realized I like never use it. Does it have any impact on EGS? And would someone be willing to donate 5 DBs to Mesabi Landing so I can build a small build there?
  11. Very nice build @Drunknok. The brickbuilt book is a nice touch. The room is very neat, and I like all the furniture. Keep up the good work!
  12. So, is there a date for the next turn? Or is it whenever? Is the paperwork just the amcra form? and do I need to wait on maxim since we started this together?
  13. Hey, what are the rules for settlement licensed builds. Is it three a month as well? And can Mesabi Landing borrow from the BoC as well?
  14. So, I've done my AMCRA build. I made an extra build. What do I do from here? I really want to get to my adventure of exploring the southern end of the world. Do I wait three months, and then make a short hop again? I'm sorry I'm so Mercurial. But I'm really unsure what to do right now.
  15. Okay, I'm going to look a gift horse in the mouth. And before everyone calls me out for it, I know I'm being a megablock here. Thanks for your effort, but I really don't like the era tag being just a sig thing. I mean, my sig I can change on a whim, and I could have just put an era pic there without your help. Besides, my sig is for fallen London quotes. I was really hoping these would be profile tags. Those are hard to change, they're are proof that you've done something on Eurobricks. Anyone can have a sig. Not everyone has a tag. I'll hold out hope for a faction tag I guess. And again, I know I'm being a jerk here.
  16. I plan to give them brown epaulettes, and red feathers in their caps. They will also have backpacks, or sword holders, from prince of persia. Honestly, they probably won't look too elite. I haven't decided how they'll play in the story. Either they'll be hyper competent, and the regular WTC will hate them for it, or they'll be totally or equally incompetent, and the joke will be how they're called the Elites, but they're useless. Either way, I have 8 or nine of these torsos to play with, and 12 regular marines now, so I can at least boast the WTC has unique troops. That's better than any of the other trade groups in my very biased opinion. Thanks for sending me that resource. It was useful.
  17. Doctor's offices have been established as Artisans. Fire fighters? I would go for artisan too. They are doing something, so It kinda fits. But feel free to shoehorn in an educational tag for the Corrington property bonus
  18. A medium tavern (Artisan) Weelond stopover by North White, on Flickr
  19. Yeah, I was trying to not clutter the thread. I posted in the General AMCRA thread, and I also did a post comparing my two ships. And Coordinate? I think that sounds like communism™ Thanks Bregir. I like to tweak my ships as parts arrive. For example, this was the first iteration of the Aurora WTC Aurora by North White, on Flickr This is her now. Note the extra pearl gold by the helm, the wings, and the fanged things. AMCRA by North White, on Flickr I'll probably tweak the Copperhead as well. The masts are pretty flimsy, so they will need to be changed no matter what. Agreed, I'll do better next time. As for the rigging, hard pass. Unless I make something really nice, and have a proper place to store it, string just gets in the way. And I'm mostly happy with her. She Has Not been licensed. I didn't know how to license her to draw out of the adventure treasury. Also, I do want Maxim to sign off on paying, despite my IC statements. The two hundred he promised me would be able to do that though.
  20. Thanks! I'll take your advice for a back wall. I agree it needs to be built up. This is the Captain's Cabin of my next ship. It's all I've been able to work on while I wait for parts BoBS teasers by North White, on Flickr It it's fully decorated, but I've started.
  21. Mesabi

    Dorm Life

That's awful man. My university has it's problems, but bugs aren't one of them, fortunately. Being up north in the cold helps.
  22. Fantastic build Ayrlego! I like both the architecture, and the figs. The roofs are all unique, and I like how each building is different. Great Entry!
  23. Thank you! The piece is This, from a juniors set. It was printed, unfortunately. It was cheap, and it kinda fits Tellvok. That's my excuse. Thanks Maxim! Personally, I like mixing fleshies and yellows. I think of it as a slight race distinction. Yeah, I wasn't sure where to post this one, since it doesn't really add to story builds, but it is a part of the story. Thanks for your kind words! Thank you Bodi! Thank you Ayrlego
  24. Location: Madin Tags: Freebuild Madin was a busy city, far busier than any of the new world settlements. Merchants lined the streets selling all matters of goods. Brimstone, Pistols, and Pineapples were sold on this street, in front of a small building. A fine day in Tellvok by North White, on Flickr The Count and two marines walked through the crowds, past the loud cries of the merchants. A fine day in Tellvok by North White, on Flickr Dearest Agnes, Sorry for leaving Mesabi Landing with absolutely no warning. I think you know why I left. Don't try to follow me. I'll be back soon. Madin is cool. These Tellvokians put even MAESTRO to shame. They sell everything here. Not that I'm bringing you anything. Anyways, Bye. -Count Mesabi FIN Thanks for viewing this small vinaigrette. I just wanted to show a little of what I see Tellvok as. I'm not going to call it a great, well built build. But I'm happy with my fig posing, and choice. C&C appreciated, though y'all never seem to comment on my stuff....
  25. Thanks Bodi. I guess it is a Xebec. I can't find the reference photo for what she was based on. I'll try to make things less abrupt with my next ship.
