  1. Really like how all your figs and lore turn around this central theme, the worship of the Eight Children
  2. Quite simple indeed, but you're not the only one who likes how this has turned out! Very Avalonian, with all the vegetation, which I can only approve
  3. Hahaha, seems like I was first But I feel honoured that you share my opinion, which probably means it is the truth
  4. As I commented on John's sery as well: cartographers are so d*mn awesome!!! Aside from the Elder, it must be my favoured figure by far (and you've got quite a few nice ones in there)
  5. Nice one indeed! I really like how you gave your lands a personal (building) style, and I'm quite afraid of these hugs beasts!
  6. Oh my, I had expected quite a lot from you, but defenitely not this. It's gorgeous! The arch is great and gives a very mysterious atmosphere, especially combined with the water. Even the little boat looks good!
  7. As I said at BMA: a very fine castle, glad to have seen it in the flesh and even gladder that it was part of our lay-out!
  8. The ship seems a bit to tall to me, but maybe that's because the surrounding sea no longer gives you the illusion that the water surface would almost reach the deck? Anyway, nice ship Mike!
  9. Medieval construction sites are always cool, and this is no exception! You're defenitely right about the rockwork, but I like the second build even better. You, too, have improved a big deal since your first build for the guilds
  10. Do I recognise some Eslandolan sails there? In any case, you've learned a lot about shipbuilding in the pirate section of this forum, and are now back to show off your skills it seems Sweet ship, also really like the moving parts!
  11. Now I know for sure: I need to switch guilds, immediatly. The jaw-dropping colourscheme, the rounded stonework, the shining half timbered tudor sections, the majestic trees, the tiny bird house and even better beehives, the usual interiors, the already-mentioned-but-still-absolutely-amazing minifigures (go Dwelfs!), the fluent watertechnique, the... Do I need to go on?
  12. So the Dwelfs turn out to be a collab? Even better! Though the landscpaing is a bit bare (which is normal when doing lakescaping, I guess), this lays the focus even more on the superb castle. I really like all these arches and curves, but the best part is without any doubt the roof. Just loving the dark blue cones
  13. I know I have already commented on your sery, but I'm doing it again just because I love them so much Amazing job LJ!
  14. mouth falls open Such a huge build, and so very recognisable as originating from your hand! It contains so many details that it will take me ages to notice them all, but before I'll go back to looking at the pictures, I do have two little remarks: first, there's just a bit to many bare studs for my taste (but that's nitpicking) and second, I absolutely, absolutely, ABSOLUTELY love the dragonhead above the door Overall, an amazing job for sure!
  15. Well, I can't deny that it's wet and windy, but the cold can have some strange beauty too? Anyway, welcome to the guilds!
  16. Which are probably the best castles. But hey, pictures or it isn't built?
  17. Just loving these figs While the Dwelf-race has really conquered my heart at first sight, my favoured minifigure is the cartographer. Cartographers are always cool, but yours had just that tiny touch! I wish I could give you some honest criticism, but I fear I've only one question: where do I sign up for the Adventurers' Guild?
  18. Wow, that destroyed house looks really... Destroyed! Love how you put it at an angle into the landscape, seems very convincing!
  19. Wow, seems like there's at least one mod still alive I can testify, your castles are both big and epic, so looking forward to the next one!
  20. Welcome for sure, Imic! (I've been to Ireland this summer, and I have to admit it's a beautiful country. Very inspiring for Avalonians, you should have joined us instead )
  21. some very nice figs, Exetrius! It's quite cool that you managed to incorporate pieces from other themes, like PotC and (probably my favoured detail) Star Wars (the Asoka-hair) Also, your love for Ninjago can be clearly distinguished, but that's no issue at all for me
  22. Yes, another one of your big builds I love so much! Maybe I'll start first with two little remarks. First, I don't really like the trees. Better: I do like them, but not their colour. Using brown would have made them stand out much better, I feel. Second: not completely sold on putting the walls at an angle, I fear... With my duty to give constructive criticism done: o my... All these details man, they're just making me drool! The little ship, all the statues (and I've found quite a lot of them, of which I can only approve ), the hanging sharks (I had seen that one done with normal fishes, but this is just brilliant!), the roofs (the sand green is yummie-yummie, and I need to get myself some dark cheesey slopes as well), the smithy (which is quite commonly "overused" in medieval builds, but yours is just right)
  23. Maybe if you can borrow that technique, I can as well? Because they're defenitely beautiful, as is the whole ship by the way
  24. Wow, a nice little city! Though I feel like there are a bit too many studs exposed, this also helps to give the city a living feeling (together with the many figs, of course!) My favoured buildings are probably the temple, or otherwise the observatory. I think I even like the microbuild better
  25. Wow, some very nice steampunk you've got there (though I'm not completely sure that it's the way to go for Historica) My favoured fig is defenitely the Dwarven Soldier, loving his look of classic pirates combined with some good old machinery
