"I, Alric, son of Balric of the house Drondil, lord of Dronkeep and count of Dron's Fields, pledge fealty to Avalonia, mightiest of the guilds of Historica. I pledge fealty to the DragonFlight and it's powerful leader, Astorious Rex. I pledge fealty to the rolling plains of the East and the mystic isles of the West. But above all, I pledge fealty to it's people: let one of it's citizen be harmed unpunished, and I shall claim land nor title anymore. So I swear, and let my oath be heared by Gods and men, so no one can deny it."
History: To understand the history of Lord Alric,, one has to understand the history of house Drondil, founded by his father. In the days when the Dragonflight's power over the country wasn't so powerful yet, the farmers and villagers of Dron's fields were terrified by a huge moster that killed their horses an ate their little children playing in the forest. The maior hired knight after knight to kill it, but none of them returned. He saw only one solution: to slay the beast himself. And so, during the first light of the morning, Alric and the beast fought, and the odds were even, till Alric saw he couldn't win without losing, and let a gap fall in his defence. The beast immediatly attacked and devoured his leg, but the maior, seaten on his horse, could now reach the beast's neck and struck his lance down. A few hours later, curious villagers found the badly injured maior next to the dead animal. They brought him as fast as possible with a litter to the village healer, but he could never totally heal of such an injury. The healer, seeing his destructed leg, decided to amputate it at the knee, and from then on Alric the maior walked with a wooden leg. Astorious Rex, hearing this from his sergeant, said: "When a man places the health of a village before his own, he deserves to lead", and awarded him with the title "Count of Dron's Fields". This was a great gift, as most of the horses used by the DragonFlight came from this county.
The maior ruled well, married a local noble and got one child: Alric. But when the War of the Elements raged, a mysterious person came to his court. His name was Gardarron, and nobody will ever know from where he came. He came as healer, and won the trust of Balric with the healing of a horse with an unknown sickness. But as time passed on, Balric trusted him more and more, becoming a slave to the drugs Gardarron provided, till Gardarron actually ruled the keep and the county. Only the Lady of the keep, supported by her son and the heir Alric, could counter his influence. But when Gardarron banished Alric to the isles, and Balric didn't do anything to stop it, his mother lost her only protection against the healer. So Alric, banished on one of the many isles of Avalonia, wasn't surprised when he recieved letter of the dead of his mother to an unknown sickness.
But now word reached Alric telling him of the death of his father, and he decided to go home, to defeat the intruder. Before he's home, a long journey waits, a journey on wich he will need his horseman and swordmen skills...
So, now I'm part of the team., and I know our (oh, that feels good) colours are dark and sandgreen, but as long as I don't have them, can I use normal green?
I've red a the wiki and beginners guide, but still have a few questions: (and don't mind my English)
I know we have a leader, Astorious Rex, but is he also someone's sigfig?
How's our political situation: with wich guilds are we at war with, and with who do we have an alliance?
Do I need to do task one first, and than task 2, than 3 and so on, are can I just pick one?
I'd like an area of my own,c an I just pick one? I had in mind that Dron's Feelds are West of the Trifork, but as long it's next to a river, it's OK for me. Could someone put it on the map, please?
How many members does our guild have?
And a last point: as I'm still at school, i've now examens and can't build till the end uf juin, but then it's just me and my bricks!!!
Greetings,
Lord Alric Drondil
