  1. Love the rocks, the steroids and the planet in the background. Great photography. Makes for a compelling scene!
  2. Great mushrooms! Reminds me a bit of Felucia from the Clone Wars. Love the color and the scale. That worm is great too, but then there are mecha in there as well! I'm glad you isolated each one as their details are a little hard to make out in the build along with the other elements. Pretty epic build.
  3. Great raft! We will be by to pick you up, just as soon as someone builds a rescue plane.
  4. Cool crash scene. Used to do that all the time with my Space kits ages ago, although back then I did not have any of the pieces for an environmental scene to surround it. Come to think of it, I still don't. Fantastic setting and I like the foilage around it, as well as how it's built into the base. I too would like to see a spoiler of what it looked like before it crashed.
  5. Fantastic fauna! Great story too. The bug and the posed shots complimented the story well. I enjoyed this one.
  6. I love those rocks. The really do look like underwater growths.
  7. Great build! I really like the ground texture and the rock work. The added bits of green are a really nice touch and work well. The doors embedded in the cliff face are fantastic. Nice details too with the sand being kicked up from the wheels on departure! I enjoyed the story too,and since I'm currently watching the animated Clone Wars series, I had voices for the droids in my head that came naturally (and they're about as smart).
  8. Mission complete: B06 Sorn - Flying Dragon
  9. Location: Sorn (B06) Tags: Kawashita, Airplane, Spaceship, Sorn, B06 Flying Dragon Aera’s Diary Junali 29, 3815 Sorn Second week on Sorn. Endless hours of sun dancing in the waves below. Days pass. Everything runs together. All I can see is blue and the constant flashes of light. I close my eyes and lie back in my bunk. I am still soaring over the water. Lips parched from the salt air I squeeze my bottle dry and throw it to the floor. We are stationed on some rock that’s not much different from the others I have flown over. There’s nothing here, but there is beauty in austerity. The sky meets the water someplace on an infinite horizon. Two lovers, arms outstretched, always just out of reach. The emptiness of this place fills your soul. I’ve felt a peace and tranquility here that I have rarely known. Between missions I lose myself in reports. My hands shake from the stims. Long hours spent on classified work and longer hours in the air searching for the enemy. I try to get some sleep. Feels like the first I have had in days. ::: Start transmission ::: Blackhawk: Aera? Aera do you copy? Aera: Blackhawk... Glad to have you here with us. You've been a great help! Blackhawk: It’s about time my luck has turned for the better. Ow! Aera: ??? Blackhawk: I hit my foot on the panel. Broke it when the torpedo fell on it during mission prep. Aera: ... Blackhawk: I’ve encountered a Mantis patrol and I’ve engaged them. I have things under control here, but I spotted their main convoy. I’m sending you the coordinates. Aera: Alright! I’ve got just the thing! Save some for me! Blackhawk: I don’t think that’s going to be a problem… ::: End transmission ::: My heart races as I run through the hall. This is what I'm here for. So many days of searching have come to an end. It's time to see what we are up against. I’ve given my team the Reppū fighters. We’ve brought the big guns to Sorn - the Hiryū! A heavy assault bomber, this thing means business and I aim to make good use of it! Kawashita KB-66 Hiryū (飛龍, "Flying Dragon”) Seen on the front lines of most Kawashita assault operations, the Flying Dragon is an anti-cruiser bomber that sees double duty as an air-to-ground platform planet side. Housing no less than 6 Kawashita KE-280 engines, the Flying Dragon earns it's title as one of the most powerful sub-cruiser class ships in Kawashita's service. Featuring 8 hardpoints, a large payload area, 2 double-barreled blasters, 2 disruptors, 2 nose-mounted cannons and 4 rear-facing gatlings there is little it cannot handle. Variable position wings give the Flying Dragon a mode each for bombing and strafing priority and it's heavy armor ensure it's survivability. Although improved in strafing mode, the turning radius is quite wide, giving rise to the running joke among Kawashita pilots: "Just point it in one direction and shoot. Nothing will remain in your way and won't need to turn!" The long-rumored KB-66C finally nears production and claims to improve maneuvarbility substantially, adding additional verniers on the wings as well as improving the engine timing software. Additionally, the KB-66C adds a second rear facing cockpit for a weapons master position. These improvements and others expect the Flying Dragon to continue it's place on the front lines of Kawashita service.
  10. Welcome to Kawashita Ender and Dr. Livingston! For Honor & Glory
  11. That's ok. I am happy to make a flag.
  12. Oh I'm going to pass out from happiness. If it is allowed, what's a place that might be recommended, if you know or have a suggestion? There's a fair number of them. Just wondering if we have a favorite in terms of method/quality? New frontiers for me.
  13. Cool thanks Bob! That was fast. Follow-up question: What about 1-2 bricks of some shape or form with a corporate logo (only) to use in builds? The rules seem to indicate that all build bricks need to be official (and for good reason - I understand that). Just wasn't sure about a corporate logo. Sigfig flag tile makes me happy enough if I decided to do that. Thanks!
  14. A question regarding this rule, if I may Bob? Would it be allowed to use a custom printed 2x2 flag piece as an additional element for my sigfig? Octan has many great official pieces to use with builds and our identity in logo form (and Mantis) is a little more challenging to convey. Given a samurai-like identity for Kawashita, and a large part of the reason I joined, I wanted to use a samurai-style back flag for use in ground combat. Being a pilot, it's probably quite rare we'd see it in builds, frankly - it would really just be formal. I would use it in my sigfig picture, if allowed - and if I actually got it done - here I'm really only inquiring if it's ok (?).
  15. Thanks for that overview also Kai! Oh how interesting. Hmm. Perhaps one day. I will have to do some reading all around then when I have the time. Thanks!
  16. What to build?

  17. Amazing. I pretty much have no other words than that. Everything has been said. Great work!
  18. Agreed. They work really well here.
  19. Fantastic build Mike! Like everyone else I like the walls in particular as well as the Kawashita logo in the floor. There's a lot of details to look at and enjoy and the vehicles are cool too.
  20. Nice work Mike! Well, like I say, at the moment I'm filled up on time and do not wish to divert any from AG. That said, should I have extra time or just get faster, I might consider it in the future. I simply realized after my little segue in discussions this morning that I wanted to see if there was a fit for samurai over here.
  21. Oh right! I hadn't noticed the obvious until now! I used your avatar instead of your sigfig! I could have gotten your sigfig image at the size I was using it from your sig or the Intro topic. I just spaced out on that one. However, yes, that would be awesome. I may contact you (or anyone else for that matter) as I start using story more to bring others into the mix. I enjoyed this time around connecting to a few other scenes happening at the time I was posting so will likely continue doing that. If you want to preempt me from doing so and send me or direct me to a couple minifig pictures - great! Also thanks! Really enjoyed the reef work. Having done that, I can really see the fun of having the parts to do some extensive fauna and environmental work. Was great fun in LDD. Spent time thinking about parts use and possibilities. I have no such actual parts - I've been trying so far with actual bricks to collect things to build things to pilot, mostly, but found I barely was able to make a wall section. I'm getting there I suppose, but I enjoyed the reef work so much that I'd like some actual things for fauna. I guess collecting actual parts will never really end, anyway.
  22. What does the new red dot in the AG sig indicate? I had a theory that it showed that "this builder was active this week" and I investigated it but it turns out it's not that. Edit: was just informed it means you participated in Challenge I. Kind of a badge so I assume we'll get more for the other Challenges. I was close, but really not so close.
