  1. "What should we serve for dessert?" Sir Dee wondered...
  2. Wait wait wait... Is that entire design chromed?! That's just comical. I mean, really. We all know TLG is just tripping over themselves to do entire sets in chrome. Ha. I feel like it's the only thing that really even stands out; the rest is pretty basic stuff. If they're going to chrome a whole set, they should at least make it something epic. Actually, I don't even like the chromed stuff. It's just too fragile for me.
  3. Okay... Hmm. Perhaps the CMF king attire? Same head as your avatar pic? Unfortunately I don't have that massive bicorne. I'll see what I can do. Truth be told, I really like the outfit shown in your avatar. It would be just about perfect for the setting.
  4. @Kai NRG @Ross Fisher Got it. Thanks. Ross, should Canon Francois have the pike at the ball? Or perhaps a smaller staff of some type?
  5. You have my attention, Professor. Teach!
  6. Very creative catamaran and great use of those old classic islander pieces. It looks quite spacious and I like the variety of items onboard. And that native wearing a tricorne! Approved for the Glory of Corrington.
  7. That's exactly what I had in mind. That combo hat/hair is a nice piece; pity it isn't available in more colors of each.
  8. (DUPLO) Mirror, mirror on the wall, who is the fairest at the ball?
  9. Neat build, and lovely minifigs. I need that black hairpiece. And I couldn't quite tell how you did the dark red until reading your explanation at the end. Good continuation of the story. Words of wisdom to build by.
  10. @Kai NRG Neat vignette. I'm sorry to always be asking this, but... do you happen to know the part number or source of that hairpiece? I don't think I have it, but I think it looks more period-correct than the original. Edit: I will at least include Uncle, and perhaps Elaine.
  11. Excellent. And what about Constable De Tourment and his family? I have most of their parts. I ain't even mad!
  12. Near final design of fountains in the center of the drive.
  13. The tiled top is a better design, no question, especially when you have a small number of chairs. I used plates only because I'm not willing to chance loose minifigs falling off the chairs in a big display with lots of them. You could carefully seat a couple of minifigs here without much trouble. Actually... I first saw that chair design in this build from @Captain Braunsfeld (third pic) and he says he got it from someone else, so... who knows who created the design at this point!
  14. Excellent use of the horn pieces as flowing water. Pity there aren't more parts in water-colors, especially trans clear. I also really like the shaping and smoothness of the base of the fountain. It's very eye pleasing. As for the crowd of people, I'm getting a bit of a kaleidoscope effect, which I normally don't like, but in this case it works to illustrate the story. And neat idea to blunt off the corners of the base.
  15. I concur regarding the base. That is beautifully done with both color and texture. The tan house and lamppost look really good, and the minifig posing implies movement really well. This is a good way to illustrate the disastrous events.
  16. That's a nice complex, and of course the tower is cool. I like those interior pics taken through the doors and windows. Mayor Brickford, shooting like a boss, showing how it's done... Your digital designs are always good, but it's great to see some of these done in real bricks too.
  17. A family sounds perfect. It makes it all seem a little more real. Just don't make it too hard for me.
  18. So many views, so few comments. The Brethren of the Brick Seas is turning into weatherin' the sick breeze or something... I gotta hand it to you: you sure can pack a lot of creativity into a small package. Apart from a few gaps (which would be difficult to eliminate with this technique) this is a really neat build. Those chain links look so real. And I love that I can read the numbers on that plume!
  19. Experimenting with fountains. Design not finalized.
  20. Ah yes, the 1x2 tile is a much smoother seat than the 1x2 plate, but unfortunately it's not quite as good for attaching a seated minifig. Neat build. I love that floor pattern.
  21. I am amazed at how recognizable this is at such a small scale. I love it.
  22. Brilliant parts usage as usual. The tower is fantastic!
  23. @SilentWolf Got it. All 3 will be in attendance.
  24. Beautiful. The level of texture is good without being excessive. I'm impressed that it looks so much bigger than it really is. And the vanes of the mill are really neat no matter who came up with them. Keep it up.
  25. That should be sufficient. Cool pic, by the way. Ah yes. It's about time they showed up. I don't have Marian's dress (I gave it a hard look, a few years ago, but passed on it), but I have plenty in blue & white. Lady Norrington will be easy enough. Consider it done. Any more named ladies out there????
