  1. Hmm... I'll have to get a green cape. Can you ID the torso? I don't have those 2 items, but I have all the rest.
  2. I might be able to work them in. @Littleworlds even though you aren't active in BoBS, I could still include your period-correct sigfig. Most of the game-players and their characters are male, but a proper ball requires ladies, and I have, uh, a few hundred of the printed dress lady minifigs.
  3. Got it. Which color trousers does Lothario prefer? Sir Dee has turkeys to spare (he received several extras in his latest order) but he plans to serve wine, not rum.
  4. You don't really need to dress your characters any differently than the way they appeared in Bregir's build -- that was "formal" enough for me, and maintains their distinct appearances. I just don't want people showing up like they just got off work at the docks! In this topic, so I'll have everything in one place. And I don't really need an in-character reply, unless you want to do it. I could look up everyone's characters, but it just takes so long to do it that way...
  5. Neat scene, and good way to bring it to life with the minifig posing. (I just wish we could see their faces, from the other direction.) The "floor" technique works great and those lampposts are cool. The cuffs are customs?
  6. @Ross Fisher Great! Hopefully there won't be any burning steaks. @Bregir I keep looking at all the sigfig's from your Great Ball builds, but sadly I just can't quite keep up with everyone. I will have to do some shopping on BL though... Meanwhile Sir Dee is *trip-fall* practicing his dancing.
  7. To the esteemed inhabitants of the Brick Seas, The honor of your presence is requested at the forthcoming Great Ball of King's Harbour, Cocovia. Please RSVP your intention to attend the festivities at Dee Manor. Surf & Turf consisting of lobster and porterhouse will be served at the banquet. Sincerely, Sir Jay Dee ********** I'm baaaack with photos!! Well, sorta... At least I finally figured out Bricksafe. I still have a few hundred pics to re-post... On to the matter at hand! As you can see above, I am working on a Great Ball project similar to @Bregir 's from 2 years ago. However, this will be a long-term project with no particular timeline for completion. As such, it will be rather difficult to sync with all your characters' stories for a proper RPG experience; therefore, I would like to include as many characters as possible as cameos, provided you all don't object to the concept. If you would like for your character(s) to attend, then please post your intention here, with either accompanying photo(s) or link to photo(s) showing your preferred attire. This will be a formal event, so please dress accordingly! (I reserve the right to make tasteful modifications for practical purposes, but I will try to be faithful to your original designs.) And finally, if you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask here. @Kai NRG Lobster... lobster everywhere!!
  8. Technologically speaking, BoBS is set in the Brickteenth century, so... no ewe-boats allowed. Sorry.
  9. Nice one. I like the wreck, but you should've included some scattered gold coins or something! The underwater portion is neat, but I wonder if the scene might look more natural if the rock continued above the shoreline as an abrupt ledge, rather than changing to such a shallow sandy beach? Anyway, it's a fun way to keep your characters fresh.
  10. Beautiful build. I saw this right after it was posted but didn't comment. The richness of detail throughout is amazing and I'm glad you provided so many close up pics. Excellent work!
  11. You're on a roll lately. Very nice work as usual.
  12. I like the layout of this sawmill, and the last pic really shows it well. The mill race and spillway arrangement is nice, although the waterwheel seems a bit small on such a large facade. Perhaps you could cover the gaps in the roof by placing a layer of narrow tiles on plates over top of the gap?
  13. Unique and very tidy. The first pic really illustrates it well. Extending the border around/over the build looks great with these colors. The window looks great and the furnishings are all pretty good. What parts did you use for the bandages? I'm just not recognizing either of them... The black tiles really show dust bad. I've found that it's often possible to remove dust from narrow tiles by simply sliding them between thumb and index finger, or even wiping over them by hand after they're placed.
  14. Nice tavern. Once again the dark red looks really good, and the small interior build brings the whole thing to life. Next they need to build some chairs to sit on while they dine. Cookie looks like he's aiming that cleaver, as if he's about to throw it.
  15. Wow, these are fabulous! Where are the printed dresses of the last 2 days from? I must have them. To add to my, er, collection.
  16. Excellent advent calendar. This looks professionally done. I like the creativity and the designs are all really good. I like the fact that you went big at the end; my gripe with most of these calendars is that, altogether, they don't really add up to much! Good work.
  17. Aha... now you're putting the "naval" in "naval academy." Good continuation of the project. I think the full-stud offsets work great here and the overall building design is quite pleasing. And the vessels look nice, too. If they're just now learning to sail, then I think at least one of them should reach the dock sailing submerged, Cap'n Jack Sparrow style.
  18. Beautiful build. The first pic is so good, it looks like a high-quality render. The layout is nice and you've mimicked Capt Wolf's architecture quite well while maintaining a distinct appearance, like the end towers and crenelations. And as usual, I like the artistry of the different photos. Good stuff. But I wish you would've shown us the interior! The microships are neat; I like your use of the "round plate with bar end" piece. Oh, and that precise thingamajig whatchamacallit is a bowsprit. Are you sure they're teaching anything here, or just playing? As for subject matter, I had long toyed with the idea of a "war room" or "war games room" MOC where higher ranking individuals would hone their tactical skills on a large tabletop layout. This pool is a more interesting take on the concept, if perhaps a bit more whimsical. What happens if a student, like, sinks his enemy? Does he get the booty off the sunken vessel, or, like, just a pair of wet boots? GIMP? Cheater. (Actually, that's really cool. I was certainly wondering about those lovely green minifigs. They look like standard items.) Make that the Hydrological Tactical Training Pool of Ships. (I assume Eslandola is "secured..." harharhar )
  19. Beautiful. That building is probably my favorite of your land builds. Scratch that -- it is my favorite. The singular use of white is lovely and naturally pairs extremely well with dark red and gold. I love the general historic appearance. The details out front, particularly the soaring flagpole and cannons, are pretty good too. I'm torn with the appearance of the grass. I appreciate what you're trying to accomplish, but a part of me thinks either the use of standard green everywhere, or a more dense scattering of the various shades and tints of green, might look better. But this approach works reasonably well. I fully understand the difficulty of building decent interiors, especially when the exterior is somewhat scaled down for the obvious reasons of size and cost; however, I think a standalone interior build of a larger scale showing the inner workings of the academy would be fantastic... Good work.
  20. @MKJoshA and @LM71Blackbird Nice looking teams. @Darnok Whoa... you're really putting some effort into this. And I actually enjoyed the commentary, which was unexpected. (I mean, they're just chasing a ball through the grass, right? ) And I would certainly think the participants would trust your results.
  21. Ayrlego, you're making me hungry, you sea dog, you! All this talk of "piazza" and "tomato sauce" and the build even looks like a pizza. You've got your pepperoni shutters, baked cheese walls, mushroom roof, etc. I just want to eat it. It's good to have you back. Nice design, beautiful use of color, and a good story from the past. Approved for the "Glory of Corrington!"
  22. Overall, I like it, regardless of size -- though it looks like it wouldn't be far off from some of the bigger creator stuff. When I saw "birch" I immediately looked for the new "Frozen" piece, but alas... Are those white columns built from... candlestick pieces?! That's a lot of candlesticks!
  23. I always enjoy seeing your work, and these are great! Excellent job with the facial expressions, and I kinda like the simple building techniques for the feet and legs in particular. I assume they're celebrating a case won and a client's wallet lightened.
  24. know weigh am eye ever going too reed awl this howl dew eye no ewe no what your talking about Actually, I did read it. I think this is a very good guide for anyone interested in RPG writing. And yes, ewe saved the best four last.
  25. Nice build and team. It's kinda neat to see something done with the ol' classic heads. Oh, and the plank is funny. Is the rat the ball boy?
