RC modding
Imanol BB replied to Technirus's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
hi, i really like the idea of not change the look of the sets, because, i have seen people that instead of try to hide the motors and the receivers, they just put thems like ugly tumors on the sets, i started to preparate my 8110 some time ago, for some motors which i am waiting for, and i tried the most of hidding all the motors and receivers, i replaced the fake engine, and there is enough space in the whole truck to put 2 XL motor for driving, 1 m motor for steering and a receiver, i did my best to hide thems the most i could, without changing the looks of the truck, also i didnt put out the standard functions of the truck, it has the same capabilities as the standard version, which is very important; i think this should be one of the most important topics to give tips to builders of how the sets should be motorized, and thanks for the others tips, they were very helpful., i will upload pictures when i get the motors.- 7 replies

thanks, i will try to take more pictures, and also, i have designed a working independent suspension for trucks like oshkosh striker, i will upload everything when i make them. EDIT: More pictures of the panther: From the back:And from the top:

A new truck, rosenbauer panther 8x8 airport crash tender: this model has the same suspension principle, also i tried to do my best in the interior and the most details i could, the upper water cannon can be lifted and extended like the real truck.

[MOC] Front loader
Imanol BB replied to Jurss's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Hi, this model looks great, i have one question, what about to make a more flexible connection within the front and the rear part putting rubber pieces in the LAs in the front part, i think that it would work for some kind of suspension (i know this is not the real life suspension), and it would add more functions to it, even so, i think this is a very nice model, good work!!! -
Very amazing, and its gets better when you see that actually are 2 vehicles, maybe it would be a good idea for a new transformers movie.

hello everyone, my name is Imanol Berecibar, i am mostly a technic builder and particularly new in Lego Town, but i want to show you some trucks i have made that fit into minifig scale and have working suspension using lego rubber parts, and they are good for make more trucks from the chassis (also it would be good to replace the radiator parts with some plates and put stickers on them): unimog u423 (compatible for attachments) unimog u5023 these two vehicles have fully working live axle suspension, the u423 has attachment points for various implements, like mowers, buckets... , and the u5023 its built more for off roading; more pictures at my brickshelf gallery. i hope you like them, i will try to make some more vehicles, thanks.

2014 Fox 8x8x8
Imanol BB replied to Zerobricks's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
ZBLJ, will you make the 12x12 version, because i saw it at brickshelf and i got amazed how good it looks, and i thought it would be even more amazing with some third party tires, and also, i really cant believe it can pull a real car, i think this is the best lego offroader to the date; keep building awesome things, you are a very talented builder. ;) -

Efferman's Custom Parts
Imanol BB replied to efferman's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
i think this would be amazing for lego boats: , but, it would be almost impossible to recreate with lego but its maybe possible with 3D printed parts (however its very hard too). -

Hi, here is the solution to make the axle be in the most center place: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/imanolB/unimog/p1120669.jpg (used in the rear axle): http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/imanolB/unimog/p1120672.jpg and the proof: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/imanolB/unimog/p1120676.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/imanolB/unimog/p1120677.jpg hope this works for you. -
Swincar Idea
Imanol BB replied to Milkromeda's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
more experiments and i think i finally understood how does it works, some pictures: in this picture you can see how the wheels should be always parallel to the pilot cell (represented with the upper blue part): and i saw that the steering is given by just moving the upper red parts (with the rods): and finally the current project: http://www.brickshel...car/swincar.lxf -

Hi, i think that the only way to make a motorized version could only be possible if the vehicle its build at large scale; it seems that the swincar uses electric motors inside the wheels and a very particular suspension; but it i think it can be build, i will try to make some experiments in LDD; and good luck building it, here is a picture: -
hi, after trying to make a more perfect suspension, i lift the whole suspension by 1 stud; and changed the rod which was connected from the chassis to the drivetrain (sorry, i dont know the name), which is very sismilar to what efferman did; and i made the rod be the most horizontal way possible, now, the sideways movement of the drivetrain is almost none, the rod doesnt collide with the chassis or the drivetrain and its a much more stronger structure, its very easy to make: i will try to upload more pictures when i get the camera, more modifications: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=557983

Finally its complete, i have finished the Pinzgauer, here you got:https://www.dropbox.com/home/lego%20JW , there are some missing parts that i didnt find in LDD, but i tryed to replace them, i hope you like it.
