  1. Nice chassis idea, it seems really strong and powerful for its size, nice work.
  2. wow, this crane is huge, its very impressive how well it works with only one LA to move the boom, all the functions are very great, and i like the "counter weight" solution, it is full of details, i really like it, nice work; and welcome to Eurobricks.
  3. It seems really cool Effe, nice work.
  4. Amazing Effe the driveshaft seems really good, also, which truck is it? a new MAN KAT?
  5. Hi, very nice model, i had the same idea some time ago and i wanted to make my own version of this kind of trailers, but i think that your trailers are much better, the details and the structure are nicely made, nice work.
  6. i decided to make it without rails, but they can be made, it is just that i didnt like that it wouldnt have more functions than normal trains, also, imagine how big the rails should be for the size of this train.
  7. right now i think i finished the drivetrain and the steering system, maybe it need some improvements:
  8. Hi, those locomotives seem very good and powerful, the details are amazing, nice work.
  9. it should work with a servo, i will see if i can make it, but maybe i will just put a M motor and worm gears to steer the turntables. EDIT: a first experiment.
  10. Hi again, i also made an small experiment and i made my own version, i will post the LXF soon as i finish some details:
  11. thanks dr spock, i didnt knew about them, now i have a clear idea of what i should change or improve. EDIT: some advances with the drivetrain idea:
  12. Hi, very impressive, im wondering which wheels you will use if you will make it at minifig scale, seems like a nice project.
  13. Hi, im not very expert in lego trains, but i have designed this bogie that works with 2 cars, also i dont remember who designed the sliding wheels:
  14. maybe i will try to make what you are saying Kman (its a very nice idea), but maybe in other topic, so far i will see if i can do something better for this project.
  15. Very impressive, its really capable for off roading, nice work!!!
  16. Hello everyone, some time ago i got amazed when i saw the lego trains, and after a long time watching thems i wondered, if there was any lego technic train, so i decided to search, and i didnt find any one,i ve just found some trains on internet, but none really a technic model, so i wanted to make one by myself, so here it goes: This is the main idea its to have a fully working lego technic train, i wanted to make it to work without rails (because it would be to hard to make or buy them), it would work like a crane like movement. The whole model isnt very good because i had almost no time to make it, the idea its to have 2 bogie motors, both powered and steerable, i have used normal wheels with tires, because normal lego train wheels arent enough big or grippier, also the profile and the look wouldnt work, so i made this: The bogies would be powered by XL motors in the frame (from the green part) and rotated by servos, the drivetrain its like a normal truck rear transmission (but without suspension), differentials are to prevent damage to the axles during turning: And this is a picture showing how it would work: I know this model is really ugly and simple, but is because i hadnt time and im first designing the working parts, there are obviously some strength problems, but i will do my best and i will keep working on it to make it better (and maybe bigger), any suggestion for an improvement or ideas are welcome (sorry if i have a wrong spelt or misused word). Thanks.
  17. Hi, really impressive work, this moc seems very nice a very functional so far, and i like that is 4x4,maybe you could try to put a worm gear to tilt the bucket so it would be stronger, nice work.
  18. if you have any other motor, you can compare them, or maybe you can look in Sariel´s channel, i think he has a video where he shows the force of each motor, and about the dust, yes, it can have a massive effect, specially in legos with a lot of working parts, it happened to me, i had make the 8110 it was working perfectly, and i left it like 3 months, then i wanted to play with it, i recharged the batteries but it was like if the batteries were half charged, then i saw a lot of dust, and i decided to put out the motor, when i clutched the funcions, i tried to rotate the axle from the pto and it was really hard to do it, so i decided to rebuild the truck, and it worked perfect, and then i found that the dust has a really big effect in the parts, so i would recommend to rebuild the crane, to see if it gets any improvement.
  19. Hi, with what you are describing it sounds like there most be a wrong placed gear or something, maybe in the gear box, but it can be anything else, you can do some things: 1) Check if the motor its in good conditions (has enough torque and speed, isnt beign forced), if not try to change it. 2)Check the gearbox (no wrong placed or stuck gears) 3)Check if there is any powered axle being forced (stuck somewhere or wrong placed) However maybe you could upload a video to see or hear if there is any problem that can be fixed.
  20. oh my, that crane its really huge, but actually it seems very stable, those outriggers work very well, cant wait to see the video of the working crane.
  21. maybe a casing for them with some lights, it would looks like those futuristic skates, something with the TRON style:
  22. Hey Gzzig, being honest, i think these models that you say that are scrap or low quality are actually very nice, i saw some pics of your gallery and the truck seems very nice, even the first version of it (also i thought that there was an sticker saying "wip forever" https://www.flickr.com/photos/112259733@N07/15895088231/in/album-72157649089686517/ ) and the tractor seems to be very functional and strong, i think you really make a good work with your creations and i would like to see more of them.
  23. Hi Daniel, im not one of the greatest lego builders but i have some experience on it, now, the pieces and the technics depends on what kind of moc you want to design (cars, trucks, aircrafts, off roaders...), for example: If you want to create a big scale off roading capable truck (something like the 8110 set), you might need to get some transmission parts (like differentials, portal hubs, universal joints, torqueballs...), and maybe shock absorbers in case you want to make a fully working suspension (you can also make your own ones), also you should try to make the most efficient transmission, enough fast so it wont be boring and enough slow to avoid damage to some parts. In case you want to create a car, sometimes suspension isnt needed but some builders use it for a more realistic model or to improve the performance, in this case, at least the cars is to heavy, you wont need almost any reduction if you want speed; however these are just some tips that have worked to me. in my case for pieces/price, i own the 8110 unimog some time ago, and for me, it was a set full of usefull parts (aesthetics and functionals), but depending of what you want to create there are models that have a lot of aesthetic parts and models with functional parts. You can also search for some models here on Eurobricks, here are lots of useful topics of almost everything you want, and people who will help you, also if you have any idea of what you would want to create you can share it so we can give you more specific tips, and also welcome to Eurobricks.
  24. Hi, your hot rods looks very nice, they have a lot of details and the scale is very good, nice work!!!
  25. interesting use of the new parts, how strong they are?
