The site was wonky for me, for at least a week. I really wanted to get my VIP points, but didn't want to deal with the hassle. So Target and ToysRUs got my money instead.

I don't own many at the moment, maybe around 21. My dark ages only ended in March of this year though and all my childhood Lego is gone, I had loads.
-
A March release makes sense. I think I missed something though, what catalog?

2016 Lego Wall Calendar - Miss Print
OmShanti replied to KringlesBricks's topic in General LEGO Discussion
It's great that they replaced the set for you. Unfortunately I missed out on the Gingerbread House and the Calendar because S@H site wasn't working for me (kept refreshing to main page, no matter what I tried) and the nearest Lego store is in another state. -
Qahne: Pan's Labyrinth is an awesome movie, love it. Recently watched Total Recall and The 6th Day. Older movies, but great nonetheless.

Today, Bunny & Babies for my little one (he loves bunnies). This week; TMNT Karai's Bike Escape, Creator Emerald Express, Santa's Visit, Naida's Epic Adventure Ship, and Marvel Carnage's Shield Sky Attack for my son for christmas. What 2016 Themes/Sets Are You Most Hyped For?
OmShanti replied to Chilly_Productions's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Elves, Friends, Disney Princess, Architecture, and curious to see what the creator Lakeside Cabin looks like. My son is hyped for Ninjago, Marvel, and City mostly.- 64 replies

Wow! This is amazing, truly exquisite. Such detail; I love the vine work on the front of the building, santa's list, all those lovely lattice windows, that fancy fireplace, the chairs are so cute. I adore that globe, the elves fence pieces fit so well here, and I love the addition of the pies (a must have item I do not have yet). Great work! I wish this were an actual Lego set, I'd definitely buy it.

Only with certain sets. No one can touch my Lord of the Rings and Hobbit sets, those are special. My son is allowed to play with my Lego as long as he washes his hands and plays nicely. He's not allowed to mix our lego because a lot of his are in bad shape (i.e. using teeth to remove, even though he has a brick separator). We've had some issues in the past where I had to become President Business because he was losing pieces, mixing, etc. He usually plays with each new set I buy for myself once it's built, before it goes on the display shelf. I would never use Kragle, someone sloppily kragled some of my son's DisneyPixarCars sets and they were ruined. Kragle is Evil (unless something breaks, I understand using it for that purpose).

Disney Princess 2016 Rumors and Discussion
OmShanti replied to Amazing Bricks's topic in LEGO Licensed
The new Frozen castle looks amazing, I just adore that fireplace! Lots of great parts in that set. Here's hoping for Snow White and Belle in the near future. Since Anna and Elsa aren't technically princesses and they're included in this theme, it would be fabulous to see an Alice in Wonderland set. That would be a dream come true, as it was a childhood favorite. The original story is far better than the disney version, but I''d happily settle for it (even if Alice's hair is inaccurately blonde). Windflower is adorable, would fit in with Elves animals easily. -
[MOC] Flinx's Flaming CHI Fortress
OmShanti replied to CM4Sci's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
This is amazing! I'd seen it in your signature around the forum and thought it was great, but now seeing the full sized images; I think it's spectacular. Well done and good luck!- 48 replies

Love the adventure camp theme, definitely going to snatch that up next year. The Supermarket and Cupcake Cafe will be great to expand my Elves Bakery (yay for more lego food!). I adore the Olivia's Exploration Car set, love astronomy and her shirt is too cute. It's too bad they didn't try for more original names though. The elves line just released aira's creative workshop, now we're getting emma's creative workshop. Despite the lack of originality in naming, it would make a nice parts set I think.

All of this talk of the Elves books makes me want to buy them. Fortunately for me I can get a deal through Scholastic from my son's school. It would be cool if they offered a different owl than Nascha (Skyra's owl), because I already have the castle; which includes Nascha. I wish Lego Elves magazine was available in the US. I'm very interested in getting them, but ebay is outrageous. The foil packs that come with them are adorable and I'm sure there's loads of fun info and images in the magazines. Anyone know why the magazine isn't offered in the US?

S@H site is wonky in firefox. Keeps redirecting back to main page when I try to do anything else. It was doing this during the sale on Nov 21st so I missed out on that and double points, still acting weird. I really don't want to install another browser but I think I may have to if I want to use their site. Update: Downloaded Google Chrome specifically to view the S@H site, still no luck. Still redirecting to the main page. There tends to be serious issues with the S@H site at the most inopportune times.

I'd be interested in seeing how your bakery looks de-pinked. Since it has the most pink/magenta bricks of all the Elves sets, it would be fun to see what you've done with it.

Elwing's Elves MOCs: The Outhouse of the Elves!
OmShanti replied to Velouria's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
So cute. It would fit in Elvendale nicely. I love how you used the ship piece for the floor, it really gives it that Elves style. I look forward to seeing more of your work. -
Ah, I see. I wasn't aware of that. The folder is available now. I'd love to see this available for purchase as an actual Elves set.
-
Excellent work! Great detail and I love the little story to go along with it, perfect. I would buy this. P.S. Your brickshelf link says the folder is not yet public.
-
Oh wow, thanks so much. I found them. You're awesome.
-
I suppose if you know what to look for. Guess I'll just have to wait and wonder.
-
Darn, I'm too late and missed the pics. How are people seeing them now? I read that there's a pdf file on some site with pics, but have yet to find it myself. I'd like to see the preliminary pics, just to get an idea of what to expect. Anyone know where they are?
-
Can't wait to see pictures. The ones who have seen them already are so lucky. I bet they're great. Looking forward to expanding my collection in the coming year. The school and marketplace sound interesting, so excited for dragons (even if they are girly) and new characters. Still wishing the Lego Elves magazine was available in the US.

I only saw a few for sale there. I felt that the shipping was a bit much though on the ones available.
