Found this great image of the new dark castle with the love dragon chained up. I just adore the design of this castle.

The Lego Elves website has been updated with a teaser site. http://www.lego.com/en-gb/elves/teaser Follow Emily to Elvendale Once again March brings new magic to Elvendale β but this time much darker powers grow nearβ¦ In the meantime you can get to know more about Emily Jones, the four Elves and what they are up to in Elvendale. The artwork is amazing. There's a new view of the dark castle in the background.

Disney Princess 2016 Rumors and Discussion
OmShanti replied to Amazing Bricks's topic in LEGO Licensed
I'm very excited for Belle's Enchanted Castle. I've been hoping for Belle and Snow White. So this will be quite a treat. Eager for photos of this set. -
Oh wow, that looks amazing! Thanks for sharing! My target was clearing out their toy section, taking out old lego displays yesterday. So maybe they'll have this display up soon, I hope so. This years Elves sets are going to break my wallet.

I don't have a dedicated Lego room unfortunately. So I display my sets on shelves and a hutch.

I agree Lyichir. We'll find out on January 26th when the book is released who the Dragon Queen is though. I'm definitely picking up a copy of this one, sounds intriguing.

I thought it was a crown too. I was thinking it was the elven sister of fire?
-
I too prefer the forest, but skyra's castle is an awesome set. I was planning to buy a second or third of both sets (hideaway and castle) to expand Elvendale. Thanks for that info Iria, looks interesting. I'll have to pick up a copy.

Are you talking about the 1x2 tile with the printed dragon image? An easily overlooked feature. Edit: It didn't even occur to me at the time, but you have a great point. Very well could have been a hint from TLG.

Thanks for the info FortNerd. Welcome to EB! legobear, my boyfriend said the same thing about the Lego Elves line and Night Elves from WoW. It's nice to see that Lego Elves is still gaining new fans. I too, very much enjoy the whimsical element of Lego Elves.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 15 Rumors and Discussion

Congrats to those who managed to score these early. You are the lucky ones. No word on early release here, guess I'll have to wait until February like everyone else. -
Bricks cracking... just from being connected to one another?
OmShanti replied to Endgame's topic in General LEGO Discussion
As of yet, I have not encountered any cracked pieces in my collection. I also do not use perfume, hand sanitizer, lotion, air fresheners, etc. I make my own soap and moisturizer, so chemicals never touch my Lego. I never touch Lego after eating until I've washed my hands. I never touch Lego with dirty hands. My house is not temperature controlled and the heat is dry. My sets all appear to be just fine. I believe the breakage is due to certain batches not cooling properly, it can cause tiny air bubbles in the plastic, which will eventually pop and crack the plastic. Also, if the bricks were too close to a heat source and cooled too quickly, they may crack. I've seen this happen with my son's Lego. The new injection process could be to blame for the increase in faulty parts. But I'm willing to bet that it's simply a heat issue. Either not cooling evenly, or being exposed to heat and shrinking slightly; which would make it stretch slightly during building and crack. I have a theory that manufacturing country could play a part in this. Perhaps quality depends on where it's made. For example, China distributes so much product that it wouldn't surprise me if quantity over quality is their business. They're a large manufacturer for pretty much everyone, always trying to cut costs and corners. It's cheaper to outsource to China, which is why most things these days are made in China. -
I didn't notice a new flower mold. It doesn't sound weird to mix and match body parts, it's pretty normal for a lot of people actually. The Treetop Hideaway is an excellent set, a must have. I want to get a second, maybe third Treetop Hideaway to expand my Lego Elvendale further. I was so excited for the release, I had saved money to complete the collection in a short time. I didn't know some sets were already being discontinued, which ones? I haven't managed to collect all of the Disney Princess sets I want yet, still working on that.

Lego Nexo Knights TV Series Discussion
OmShanti replied to DuckBricks's topic in LEGO Media and Gaming
My son loves this show. Erin Mathews plays Macy. I recognized her voice instantly. She voiced Azari and Naida from Lego Elves. -
I figured they'd stick to March. Kind of a bummer but I guess it gives me time to save up for the entire collection.

I know it's in the Angry Birds set, that's how I've seen it. But someone mentioned a Friends Amusement Park themed Hot Dog Van, and I was curious if anyone knew anything or had pictures of that set yet.

Brilliant use of parts! This perfectly captures UniKitty's colorful and whimsical nature. Love your Christmas tree, so creative. I adore all the little details; slanted window, rainbow staircase, bed, fireplace, snow kitty, reindeer kitty, chimney smoke, the treats on the table. What are those orange pieces that look like iced cakes? This is an amazing build with excellent execution. My son came over while I was looking and said "oooh UniKitty house! Can we buy it?" When I told him it was someone's creation with their own collection, he asked if we could get the instructions to build it ourselves. I think this would easily sell if it were available as a set.

Lego Licensed Parts available from Bricks & Pieces
OmShanti replied to LegoPercyJ's topic in LEGO Licensed
I usually get mine within 7-9 working days, so Sunday doesn't count and neither does Christmas. -
Bummer, I was hoping for an earlier release. You're probably right about the Friends/Elves overlap, makes sense if Lego spreads out the releases for that reason. I'm thrilled we're getting more buildings and new characters regardless of the release date. I'm still very curious who that villain is, eager to find out.
-
So I'm curious if anyone knows when Elves is to be released for 2016. Do we get a January release or are we waiting until March again?
-
The hot dog bun is super cute, a must have. Are there pictures of the hot dog set for friends?
-
These sets look better than I expected. My son loves angry birds and he will be thrilled once they're released, I haven't shown him the pictures yet. I must have that hot dog bun, so cute. I'm sure I'll end up buying these at some point for my son or possibly myself; for parts.
