  1. Amazing plants and tree house, I love the designs. Creative and awesome work.
  2. You're so lucky, I'm so jealous. It came out in other places too, except for where I live. I don't understand why Lego magazines aren't available in the US. I would buy them and I'm sure many others would too. I wish I knew someone in the UK who could help me obtain a copy. I adore the little panther set that comes with it.
  3. Ooh, so very exciting! I've bought the entire Elves collection so far, loving it. Hope photos are available soon. Looking forward to seeing what these new sets will look like.
  4. Awesome little MOC you have here. With a few additions to the landscape, this could be part of the Elves line. Wonderful job. Look forward to seeing more from you.
  5. I might have to get myself a copy of that chapter book then, sounds intriguing. Got the Pegasus Sleigh last week, which completes my current elves collection. Now I just have to save for the new year when new sets are released.
  6. Yes. I bought it on the S@H site August 3rd. Built the bottom half that night and the upper half the next day. It's quite nice, lots of little details. Now the only set I haven't purchased is the pegasus sleigh. That will have to be after my son's birthday, because he needs Lego too.
  7. Lego has added the Elves summer sets to their US online shop, available for purchase August 1st.
  8. Lucky. I'm still impatiently waiting for their release. Seems like the only country that hasn't released the summer sets yet is the United States. I'm thinking it's going to be the tail end of summer here, around August.
  9. It's cool that you were able to view the site. Seems unfair to prevent certain regions from viewing it. I did notice the forest. If I remember correctly, someone said it was also seen in the unite the magic app (hidden object game). Lots of fun new info and images on this site.
  10. Yes. I saw this back in March and thought the Elves was going to air on Nick, but Disney picked it up instead.
  11. Sounds exciting. I hope there are more episodes. The new Lego Digital magazines are up at Lego.com. There's Elves features in both the Red Brick and Yellow Brick magazines. Make your own Elf Medallion (Red Brick), Elves Poster and An Adventure with Azari to find the Fire key (Yellow Brick).
  12. WarHawk, he sounds like a great kid. My son has similar tendencies sometimes. He's 5 and adores Lego (but couldn't have them until last year because of his mouthing habit). We play Lego together, but he has his own collection. I have mine, which he can play with as long as; his hands are clean, he treats them respectively, and I'm there to supervise. It's become one of our favorite pastimes together.
  13. Pick-A-Brick has common elements. It's not temporary, they just don't include many parts. In order to find less common and special elements, your best bet would be Bricklink or Lego Bricks & Pieces (in the customer service section *click on missing parts). I order parts from Bricks & Pieces often. The images will be faded on the pieces that aren't in stock, but you could call customer service to find out when they'll be back in stock (I've done this before). Best of Luck to you.
  14. Well Lordofdragonss, I do hope someone lets you borrow a camera. There are not nearly enough Elves creations on the web. I wish I was closer to Virginia, I'd love to attend Brickfair and see all the great MOCs. The architecture is one of the aspects that attracted me to the Elves theme. I've played around with Elves ideas on LDD as well, I just wish the new elements were available. Last I checked, they weren't. I think it'd be fun to start physically building some of your ideas from LDD and tweak them while building, it might inspire something else. I don't know about you, but all sorts of new ideas jump into my head once I'm physically working with Lego.
  15. My son just started collecting Mixels last month. He adores them. Has all of the Spikels (Scorpi is his favorite), 1 Infernite, 1 Orbiton; and working on collecting the rest. He gets $5-$10 every two weeks for allowance (he's only 6), so that's only 2 Mixels per month. He's constantly making his own Mixels to fill the void. Plus, he's a huge Ninjago fan. I spend too much money on Lego, haha. I'm not sure how well the Mixels were built before, but I feel some designs could use improvement. For $5 a piece though, can't really complain.
  16. Could be, but who knows. If new episodes are coming, that might mean new winter sets are too. Exciting. I have all of the sets so far. Eagerly awaiting the summer sets. Do you have all of the sets Blondie-Wan? Aanchir - An Elves MOC would be awesome. I'm sure it would be well received, especially by fans of fantasy and RPG. Hopefully now that girl oriented themes are becoming more popular they'll make their way into more AFOL events in the near future.
  17. Figured I should share this with other Elves fans... My son is a Lego Club member. But he's too young to have his own email address, so his club emails get sent to me. This was in the Lego Club email today. I clicked on Watch It! but it just took me to the non-updated Elves website. So perhaps this means they'll have new episodes up soon.
  18. That's cool Sarah. I haven't been to a book fair in ages, makes me want to check one out soon. I was drawn to a few of the friends and lotr/hobbit sets, but what brought me back to Lego was Elves.
  19. The release date for the book is August 25th. The price will be around $5.99
  20. It was so nice of your wife to get that for you. It's a fun little build. I wouldn't say it's wrong to want Aira's dress in real life. It's a beautiful dress. Honestly, I would wear it with the sandals to match, they're adorable. If you know how to sew, or have a friend who does.. I'm sure it'd be a fairly easy project. You could have that dress in real life.
  21. I agree the voicework is great. Ashleigh Ball (My Little Pony: Rainbow Dash, Applejack) is the voice of four characters. Aira, obviously. Also, Emily, Skyra, & Mrs. Jones.
  22. I know what you mean, I just happened to be looking through Ninjago for my son and came across this new theme coming out called Elves. It peaked my interest and brought me out of the dark ages myself. My son probably loves the show as much as your daughters do. He even asks me to sing the Elves song to him before bed most nights. I hope we get more episodes too. It would be awesome if there are more sets slated for release this Winter, and they're featured in the episodes.
  23. Thanks for the link. I hope they don't wait until 2016 to make another episode. All of the lovely artwork would aid in my Elvendale MOC project. It would be cool if they featured the already released sets more, or delved further into other places within Elvendale (such as the places mentioned on the website, i.e. Enki Island, Venti High Hill, Red Mountain, Forest of Deep Secrets), to name a few. There are loads of possibilities. In any case, whatever Lego decides to do, I'm sure it will be great; they have done amazingly with this theme so far. Can't wait to see what the future holds.
  24. Yes they do. The Hideaway booklet has the best image of Elvendale, nice and big. There are also really nice photos of Leaflands, Sparkle Rock, and some others on the Elves website. Check out this Elvendale from Lego KidsFest Missouri, pretty cool. Bigger photo at this address. https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/originals/22/ea/1b/22ea1b3078ed2c65df71833c2890f279.jpg
  25. Hahaha, Duplolas. Thank you for that. These repaints are very well done. Great work! I love your little self-elf, she's so cute. The extra touch with the eyelids is amazing, you have skills Lady. I used to love ElfQuest, so to see Leetah here was pretty awesome. Are you planning to make any of the other ElfQuest characters?
