  1. Original entry by ILikePi: here I've contacted, he did come on but told me he wasn't interested in updating his models so I went ahead and updated it to LDD 4.3.6 10194 Emerald Night Bricklink Brickset LXF File updated with LDD 4.3.6 I rebuilt the engine from scratch as there were numerous changes in LDD and LDD did not tell me what 9 parts was removed. Error: no stickers, obviously male passenger has wrong print on torso, correct print did not exist engineer has wrong print on his face, correct print did not exist 2x4x2/3 curved slope in dark green has no striped print, not in LDD flex tube 136mm (x2) was used as 128mm would not "clip" in place flex tube 184mm (x2) was used as 200mm did not exist red rubber band not around train's drive wheels. Would not fit, didn't find any that did.
  2. I blame Google translation for that.
  3. Is the engine compartment intentionally detachable for easy access to battery box? Interesting.
  4. $25 is the retail price but check around, it can be had cheaper new at places like amazon.
  5. Probably not official. LEGO had Star Wars for a decade now and they also have contract with Disney who owns Star Wars now. They probably got a clause that prevents them from picking up competing sci-fi series. Beside megablock did Star Trek long ago. It'd need a few more years before Star Trek franchise is sterilized of clone bricks.
  6. Looks like a cross between Batman and X-Wing? Nice one!!
  7. Some of the models were made with older LDD program 3.x and when I checked one of them, the member who originally did it hasn't been on for many months. Is there any problem if I do the model with newer LDD?
  8. If you have a very large want list and it contains many rare parts, you will have trouble finding results. Also if you have something in want list that is in unusual color (ie blue monorail track, trans-neon-orange tire, etc), the program will fail to find. Make sure you want list contains items that do exists in desired color. If all else fails, make a new wanted list and move 3 items you need the most (or 3 rarest items) and try searching just from that 3. It'd make the rest of the list a tad easier for program to find match. I've used it without major problem. I still get issue with wanted list # instead of name, and one of the wanted list won't work for some reason. I keep getting wanted list not found even when I changed the name to make sure it wasn't a weird letter or hidden space that broke the earlier attempts
  9. must steal those! I have 6 monorail motors and a box full of curves to work with.
  10. 1x2 panel might work on those wedge plate to throw the snow up toward the chute.
  11. They are however sold out on some LEGO sites so it's safe to assume some of the resellers already bought them to try and sell. If they can sell all 6 for 100 each, the rest of the 2000 pieces set becomes about $200 or within the sweet 10 cents a part.
  12. Ever try to run when you're hip deep in snow? I'd stay away from the railroad when it's hard to run fast and you don't have snow shoe on.
  13. Hmmm so no chance of monorail reissue. Supposedly they lost a mold or something, and since monorail wasn't selling well back then I doubt they'd consider a reissue with new molds.
  14. Nice 1x16 could use a number of them for internal support. I may need to run to LEGO store sooner than I planned if they are stocking faster. Still trying for masonry profile bricks.
  15. So TL;DR you'd have a better chance of getting a pass if it doesn't need licensing, won't violate any copyright, doesn't need new part, new color, or weird connection, and is not too convoluted to assemble. Time to go back to copying satellites and submarines.
  16. Some of the round connector has a block in the middle that prevents technic rod from going through completely. So if someone puts this together, they can't get it apart without ruining one of the part.
  17. Cool. I almost never see one in Michigan since we rarely get more than a few inches in one go. I did see one once, when I went up toward St. Ignance, the strait between Lake Superior and Lake Michigan/Huron and right next to Canada.
  18. It may be too complex for cuusoo? Multiple levers that changes how it draws, the building, and if my math is correct with your current 11 drive model, 121 possible combinations for many unique drawing is possible. What then when someone uses all possible combinations? Turn it into 2000-pieces spare part fodder? Here's one possible idea: what if you separated the left and right arm from the main motor, used 2 motors connected to IR receiver and used a remote controller to get 7 different speeds + forward/reverse capability (on top of multiple drive rings for more speed options)? One IR receiver can handle 2 different motors on 2 channels so both could run independently of each other.
  19. Just thought of this when I found trans-red piece while looking for 1,000 other pieces I needed. PS before anyone asks, yes it looks like Darth Vader is swearing but if you have Galactic Basic font installed and you try to read the first line, it really reads "EURO BRICKS!!!" so not swear word.
  20. What about this one: According to rules, this is legal building. No stressed pin or weird modification needed to make it yet it can't be done. Makes me wonder how would LEGO handle this if I sent this plan via the discontinued Creation by Me program??? The building instruction by LDD claims it can be done by magically making the last brick pop in.
  21. There's a few software you can use. LDraw is usually better with older parts but updates is slower as they are not made by major company. Also they have steeper learning curve. Lego Digital Designer is available directly from LEGO for free and is easier to use than LDraw but they generally have parts made in the last 10 or so years so it will not have old and out of production element at this time. If you never tried a 3D CAD type program, start with LDD as it's easier.
  22. pin-less design maybe? I do have a little question about Technic. Why is LEGO still producing 40t gear? It's big, not used often in sets, and somewhat hard to hide in a small creation. Other older technic parts were made obsolete either because of limited use or because a better part came along.
  23. Which 12t gear? single bevel is pretty thin and usually breaks under high torque. The larger double bevel is usually hard to break unless the gear had a defect like crack or bad mold.
  24. greasy joint short order chef. Unshaven face, stained apron.
  25. Your PM is full or somehow is broken. So here's my original message: I noticed there's quite a few sets that were made with much older version of LDD. I was wondering maybe you could check them, and if the person who originally created the set(s) in LDD hasn't been on for a long time, you could tag the set(s) and encourage someone to update them with newer LDD? Some of the older sets that had incorrect part(s) due to not being available in earlier version of LDD could be redone w...

    1. Calabar

      Calabar

I already reported the problem to Superkalle, I hope it will be fixed soon.

It is due to the passage from regulator to standard user.
