  1. What's your source for that? Rebels is already becoming an excellent show, if they add Thrawn to the mix and canonize him... the implications would shake the galaxy!
  2. Thrawn is such an excellent character. The quintessential Star Wars-esque bad guy: devious yet awesome and likeable. His powerful mind for tactics would be an excellent compliment to the brute force nature of Kylo Ren. I might have to pick up a Cad Bane at some point, though I would hate to dismantle my Yularen ;)
  3. That better not be Dengar in that hideous, red 1980-something-spaceship. The Punishing One from the EU is such an awesome ship, I would hope they aren't throwing that away. The Tie Advanced looks to be quite a nice rendition though. Far superior to current TLG versions.
  4. I'm not sure it was in the movie enough that they would do that yet. We really haven't even seen the entire ship yet, not compared to how it was shown in ANH at least.
  5. I think the Slave 1 makes more of a statement. The Sandcrawler is neat and all, but I find its actual physical size to be fairly underwhelming, especially given the piece count.
  6. The weight on that is going to be crazy, but it looks amazing.
  7. Would you buy a set you otherwise weren't going to because Lego put a 40th anniversary logo on the box? I doubt it, and neither would most people. A 40th anniversary is not going to affect sales of a $400 set. If they put out another UCS Falcon it's because they think it will be successful; that has nothing to do with a random anniversary date. Why would 40 be more special than 35? It's completely arbitrary.
  8. They might. They're just not going to make a big set they wouldn't otherwise have made simply because it's a 40th anniversary. If they didn't think a $500 UCS Star Destroyer would sell last year, then they wouldn't all of a sudden think it would sell because they slapped a 40th anniversary logo on it.
  9. I don't really think a 40 year anniversary of the movie is going to affect their plans in anyway. Lego is going to continue to design and sell sets based on what they think will make the most money. If that means a star destroyer, it will be a star destroyer, but the anniversary is pretty irrelevant.
  10. What a great idea and design; looks fantastic. And your previous Death Star one is brilliant. What I would have given to have that as a kid (or even now). Really neat.
  11. Agreed. Rebels is definitely growing as a show. And it looks like we get a lot more James Earl Jones, which I think took the show to another level. The hammerhead would be a great set.
  12. ^ That is an absolutely outstanding build. Those engines are gorgeous.
  13. This is a fantastic version. I think I just may go with this one to complement my Vader's Tie Advanced. Thanks for the LDD!
  14. The price on an equivalent 10030 ISD, should Lego choose to release one, would be monstrous. At $400 the SSD looks so insignificant next to it, there's no way it'd be a $400 set, and I don't know if Lego is prepared to have $500 sets again.
  15. That is fantastic. I love the rear body engine greebling, and as Bootz said, the sliding cockpit is great. A wonderful evolution of a classic.
  16. What are the overall dimensions (h/w/d) of it Cjd223/Cavegod? I've looked all over but no one's ever mentioned it.
  17. If you read Mortesv's posts (in this thread), he said he is planning to provide an LDD when he's finished with it. Patience.
  18. The lighting is great on that. Coincidentally, I just finished reading the novelized Revenge of the Sith. It's amazing how someone could take a movie that was so horrible, and make it into such a good book without changing the plot.
  19. Given the popularity of Hoth, and the way Lego mass produces Hoth sets, I surprises me that they haven't done an AT-AT yet. I would imagine it has to do with stability issues in their test requirements.
  20. I tend to agree with you on the size. These models are incredible, but I don't know if it would even be viable for me if I had instructions. I'm curious to see Lilmefromdafuture's smaller AT-AT versions, which he said he actually likes better. That could be a perfect compromise.
  21. Excellent. I especially like the front of the ship, given the piece count.
  22. I like it. Probably my favorite scene with Ren. Part of me wishes they didn't remove the character's helmet in the first movie. Those outbursts of rage and destruction were better without a human face.
  23. I like the improvements. How sturdy is it looking?
  24. I agree. While his original version had some gaps around the widescreen I thought it looked excellent.
