  1. Not bad, but not really something I'm terribly interested in. I was hoping for more green, but oh well. That ship is neat though. If nothing else, that sail may be useful.
  2. Welcome! Great collection so far!
  3. Don't have a video link, but I'm currently (at the moment of this post) listening to "Ride The Wind" by Poison.
  4. It's one in a million. Christopher doesn't like the movies (or rather, he doesn't approve of them as adaptations. I don't know if he likes them or not). He'd never sell the rights to any other books. It's only one in a million because there's always that one chance that maybe one of the little kids in the family loves the movies and wants to see their favorite book (that isn't LOTR or the Hobbit) made into a film. That might be enough to sway Chris towards selling the rights, but eh, I really doubt it... That's too many different things that need to happen... I mean, it just isn't likely... But I won't rule it out. It could happen... Remember what Journey told you not to stop doing...
  5. So it's finally official? I thought I'd be happy when we got an official announcement, just to know for sure... I'm not happy. I know I sometimes come off as... Hm, a bit on the negative side of this. I realize that sometimes I talk like I don't care that this theme is dead, or how I try to be optimistic and all... I know it may seem like I don't care... Well, frankly... I do care. I am going to miss this line. I remember back in 2012, seeing that early picture of the fellowship, and going to class to tell one of my friends about it, how happy we were that it was coming... I guess I never I thought about it ending... I mean, who would? Well now its gone. And it won't ever come back. I mean, yeah, I'm glad we got everything we did, and I'm not too burned by what we didn't, but... I mean, now it's over... It's just over. Five years of "it'll never happen" but "it would be perfect" and "Well, I'll just make my own custom fellowship" and now it's just... done. That's it. It's over. Well, there are still enough gaps that we can still discuss filling those, and we can still make customs and build stuff and discuss why it should come back... But it won't be the same... I really don't know what I'm saying... Well, it was a good run. It had its ups and downs, but I think overall it will go down in history in a positive way. Well, that's all folks.
  6. Welcome to Eurobricks. Good list of favorite themes, I like most of those too.
  7. Excellent Warriors Three, though I don't care for Volstagg's helmet. I'd use Gloin's beard. That's also a perfect head for Cyclops. Might have to copy that...
  8. That's what I'm saying. Close enough for me, and most people I assume. My point was that we don't have to compromise on Green Arrow because of that awesome versions con-exclusiveness.
  9. The Green Arrow in the preliminary pictures looks exactly like the one in the game to me. And the one in the game looks to have the same prints as the Comic-Con Exclusive one... Interesting. It's the same figure with different head/neck gear. What a wonderful thing. Now, technically the old one is still exclusive, but now we can all get it. Well done, LEGO, well done.
  10. Neighbors. Good, but a bit... Profane. No nudity, just a lot of swearing and adult jokes. I'd give it a B.
  11. If they are online somewhere, can we please get a link to then?
  12. I'm a bit late... But am I the only one who hopes that shark in the Black Manta Set is made of rubber? You know why... And I'm very glad to be getting Green Arrow in a set. Most excellent. I'm going to wait for clearer pictures to make a final judgement, but so far, these look spectacular! I can't wait to see a better picture of that new Batman!
  13. I did it. I hit submit, but I just closed out of the page that asked for my e-mail... It still went, right? Good luck with your thesis!
  14. Yeah, the pictures don't work for me either. I don't know if you use Flickr, but here's a tutorial for posting from there: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=97921 If you don't use Flickr, check the Forum Information and Help Section for more info on uploading pictures. There is one for Brickshelf if you have that. If this was simply a technical glitch... Well, then ignore this.
  15. Well, it's been said before here, but these topics tend to get crazy cluttered, so I'll repeat it. MARVEL has blocked any and all Fantastic Four merchandise that is not related to the films (actually, I'm not sure if the films can either. I would think they can). This is a very all encompassing ban, and I believe that they've even cancelled the comic book series for now. This applies to LEGO. What makes it different than X-Men is that A) F4 is not as popular, so MARVEL is less hesitant to ban them. B) FOX really ticked them off with this movie. The rights were supposed to go back to MARVEL, but then FOX, to avoid losing them, jump-started this dead movie project. And so... Well, here we are. I think it's more complicated, but that's the idea. MARVEL has banned any Fantastic Four Merchandise.
  16. Well... Star Trek: The Next Generation. The Goldbergs The Simpsons Raising Hope Doctor Who Hmmm... Well, that's all I got for now.
  17. If I may say, that is a most excellent use of that seemingly useless Green Goblin. No, actually, that's a perfect use, I never thought to use him for Castle. Great work! The painting is pretty good, especially for a first attempt. Keep it up!
  18. It was a joke, like Kraby said. Minas Tirith and Orthanac, in the real Middle Earth, are really far away from each other. I was making fun of that.
  19. If we're making fog, try building it out of trans-clear pieces.
  20. That statement is absurd. Orthanac and Minas Tirith are no where near each other. Putting them next to each other is the most illogical thing I can think of. On a more serious note, I don't think it means anything. I'd be surprised if it did. I think the Ideas people just comment on the positives of the project so not to be a bunch of Negative Nellies that discourage folks from being creative with these things. I mean imagine if they had said "Your project is great, but we won't accept it so you might as well give up now before it gets rejected in the spotlight." Wouldn't you love them for that? No, of course not. That's rude. One of the many purposes of Ideas is to inspire people's creativity. And so if a project has a chance at passing, even if it really doesn't, they have to let them try.
  21. I feel, though, that if they made a DC line, and not a Marvel one, folks would complain. There'd be a lot of negative press about how it is "unfair" and the like. You know what I mean? I think that is something LEGO wants to avoid. But yeah, back on topic.
  22. That head on Beast works really nicely. I am actually really impressed with that. I don't really know the rest of them, though.
  23. Welcome to Eurobricks!
  24. Excellent little sets. Thanks for the great review!
