  1. I agree with @Lipko, it is hard to justify the price with a few hours of building fun, especially if you don't play with the built models. My OOB's sit on my desk for a while and then get recycled for further use. So regardless the awesome stance of the set, investing just in parts that are interesting to me, seems a much better option - sure the parts are not cheap on second market nor on b&p, but in general a lot less money is spent that way. Thank you @Jim for thorough review - the photos are juicy as alway ;-) Cheers!
  2. I missed that topic when it was posted and what a miss would it be if you hadn't replied to Philo. This is fantastic tool you made! Would it be ok with you if we use the animation for a video presentation of our models? Would definetly give you credit for it of course! Really amazing, haven't had the time to try it out yet, but thank you for sharing! Awesome stuff! Best regards, Miha
  3. Looks very nice, those new narrow truck tires sure are a huge improvement over the wide ones. Can't wait to get my hands on'em!
  4. Good build. My favourite detail is the fifth wheel. Do you use schock absorbers or a rubber band for auto lock?
  5. It has that beasty vibe . I like it very much. Great job on the internals as well. Is the rear hitch compatible with Claas Xerion?
  6. That is a good looking truck! A bit to quick maybe and with some extra reduction it would have a killer torque. I like how the chassis looks very sturdy. Nice work on the modularity! How are the hubs holding after you soaked them in dust and water? ZBLJ didn't recommend doing so ;-) Best regards!
  7. That's HUUUUUUGE... disappointment . I hope those new tracks pieces will be available at B&P for more civilised price, and even if they were more than 1€, it would still be an easy decision not to buy the set but only parts instead. That would still leave me 300+€ for better and reasonably priced sets or parts... not to mention that Eric Trax and MLonger made a fantastic B model for 42100... For black LA's I don't care that much...
  8. Congratulations to the winners, especially to @Thirdwigg - you truly are a MOG King! I admit I didn't follow the voting criteria as much as I should and got carried away by the coolness and awesomeness of the entries, but thank you @Jim and @Milan for taking the time to explain your criteria for each finalist - looking a bit more through your perspective, I couldn't agree more. Well done everybody for a wonderful contest that gave so many good recreations of the many sets we craved for as kids. Best regards, Miha
  9. 22:10 23:6 33:4 27:3 11:2 25:1 _________ Fantastic acomplishments by all the participants! I have to admit I was hoping for more non-technic sets to be picked up, but nontheless - nostalgia really kicked in when looking through the entries. Well done guys! You made it really hard to make a fair judgement indeed.
  10. It looks much better now! I love it Great overhaul package indeed!
  11. This was my second Technic set I got as a kid. Good job. My only comment would be that the bonnet should be one stud longer.
  12. Are the tires the same as on the C+ buggy? I like those black arches above the wheels and the whole truck looks nice. Who knows if @nico71 had some"deeper" inspiration on his green truck?
  13. This looks fantastic! I love the geometry of the chassis and the bodywork is spot on. Beautiful!
  14. Wow, that is really a nice package, I wish I'd known about it a year ago when I needed it. I guess I wasn't looking good enough. Thank you very much for sharing!
  15. You are both welcome! I 'm glad it was of some use :-)
  16. Excellent and fun build! I like it very much and the performacne looks really good!
  17. Joining the forums is great idea. To me it seemed that separate forum kinda ment like so many great MOCs are being banned to another place that anyone hardly thinks of it and therefore not getting the deserved attention. I made a bookmark in my browser for SMF, but somehow just didn't use it not nearly as much as the one for Technic forum.
  18. Thank you, very nice and robust design. It was amazing seeing you coming out of hidding behind the truck - seing that made me realize how huge it actually is - you could nurse a baby in that bed. Really amazing how agile it is at tthat size. Congratulations again!
  19. Very impressive! Excelent speed for the huge weight. Congratulations! Could you share some details of the axles? Best regards.
  20. Very well packed! Supported of course! My only minor pickle would be windshield pillars (red) not reaching the roof. Otherwise really nice design.
  21. Sounds really tempting and as @Seasider wrote - 15 years ago, I would probably take a shot (without any real expectations of course). Nowadays, the "getting-older fart" in me is mostly worried that turning a well loved hobby into a job would kill that love for a hobby. I am amased how, in example, Milan Reindl - Grohl, besides his regular work at TLG, still does a lot of MOC and MODs in his spare time. I think that is the true passion which makes a great designer. I hope someone from the fan community gets the job, I see it as a chance to introduce even more fan based (AFOL) thinking into to the designs.
  22. Great add-on! Thx! Edit: Since you've offered your finger let me please bite off you whole arm : It would be really sexy if the results came out in gear pictures
  23. Sorry, no plans for a video, I am way behind even with filming my own MOCs, mostly due to lack of time and overall laziness :-)
  24. Well deserved feature on TLCB... I painted it red... very nice build, excellent chassis and the solution for differential. I enjoyed it a lot!
  25. I agree, but I see it more as a concept of one input than using one motor. Stronger motor or two of them connected, would still maintain the concept used, but would give a bit more life to the tank itself...
