Impossible LEGO
MajklSpajkl replied to Boxerlego's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Well, it is not that dramatic...yes, it is not possible to do it without a sharp object, but it is perfectly doable without hurting the pieces. There is enough play to get the head of the stop axle out enough in order to reach beneath it with a tip of a knife...I just tried and succeeded with no effort at all. Will be interesting to see how will they try to solve this or explain it... -

I hope this is not a repost... https://www.lego.com/en-us/product/medium-angular-motor-88018 I guess we can expect it in the new powered up sets coming after NY.- 5,445 replies

I understand the laziness, been dealing with it for quite some time now I guess I would notice the axles, but I am building a digital model of my Kenworth and was right at those rear axles when you posted, so they fell into my eye immediately. I am glad you found them good enough to reuse them. Best regards.

Very interesting reading and great concept of this diagonal AWD + fantastic and obviously very capable B model. Great job!

This came out fantastic! I really like the shape. You truly have talent for big alternative models If not considering that this is a B model, it would definitely benefit with some racing stickers, but since it is a B model it is understood that stickers would be a bit of a questionable choice, especially because those are rarely easy to remove. Best regards. -

I hope they introduce front mudguards too. It would be just weird at that size not to have the front mudguard. But probably better to keep our expectations low... -
I think getting the driving axle so high is actually a good thing. Not so easy to put the motors low in the chassis among all the suspension and steering mechanisms, so having the driving axle so high by default makes installing motors much easier. Besides, it is not that high and it's not like you need the space up there - it is an 8x8 trial truck, not a dump truck...

This is fantastic! I am looking forward to see this come to life! My observation would be about schock absorbers. Do you have any space to add more? According to my experience first two axles need to bare with a large and heavy cabin - I used 3 pairs of hard springs on 1st and two pairs of hard springs on 2nd axle on my yellow Tatra as there was no way to get only one pair of springs to hold the heavy cabin. Of course it depends on what kind of body work you are going for. Best regards.

Start is very promising, but are you sure about 4WD? Seems RWD at the moment.
