  1. I almost fell of my chair! Did you actually nail the connectors into the sole of the shoe?! That is indeed one of a kind creation. A+ for even thinking about it. How does it wear?
  2. But there is a schock absorber seen in the wheel well...I wonder if those wheel pieces are really ment for mock up springs...
  3. Good eye, someone indeed screewed up - well I guess everybody was looking at the design of that red dress anyway
  4. 250€ for the truck????? Didn't someone wrote something about 180?
  5. Seats should be all red, front grille blue and that bulky thing in front all bley. I think the seats ruin it for me mostly.
  6. I am concerned, shouldn't dokludi be posting all three replicas already? Just kidding... I had high hope for the truck but the colour is killing it for me - I'll probably get it for the tires and other great parts and PF off course. That snowy van looks interesting, might be fun to motorise it. Purple fenders seem ok, but there isn't really much other pieces in purple. That chassis remake from three sets - I don't like it - seems rather simple and really not that similar to the original.
  7. Performance is indeed great!!! I miss a bit more on the front mask though.
  8. Thx guys, I couldn't agree more with you on the colour - it's sooo...sooo... grey Unfortunately it is the only colour I could pull it off with. I'd die for enough dark red or dark blue pieces for it @Jeroen Ottens: Indeed I am pleased with that front axle, I think I'll use it for something offroadish in the future. Thx again to all for your nice comment.
  9. That is a really nice truck. I love the scale and 3rd axle lifting/steering mechanism. I also like the use of 3x11 back panels for the bed - makes an nice and realistic texture. Job well done MOre info/photos on that third axle mechanism would be great Best regards, miha
  10. Hello everybody, I present to you another "ancient" MOC of mine - built in May 2016 and only now I finally managed to make a presentation of it - The Logging Truck: At first it was supposed to be a Trial Truck, but as it grew to heavy, especially due to "model team-ish" cabin, I decided to make it more easy going. It doesn't represent any particular model, nor is it scaled or anything... It's driven by a PF XL motor and steered by a PF M motor. It has full suspension, detailed cabin interior and engine compartment. Oh, and I have to admit it is heavilly inspired by Ingmar Spijkhoven's work (2LegoOrNot2Lego). I'll let the photos do the talking... The position of the trailer trolley can be adjusted between the two yellow stops - the main beam slides through the trolley and is held in place by springs and rubber 2L connectors. While the truck is fully suspended, the trailer uses a kind of pendular linkage between both axles. The cabin has detailed interior... ...and so does the engine bay - totaly imaginatory - without any knowledge or research of the real truck engines . I guess under skirt shot is in order... I really like how the front axle turned out, the ackermann is almost to much. Here's another pair of photos to finish it off and a short video of course... I hope you like it and thanks for comment. Please find bigger photos here. Best regards, Miha
  11. Indeed looks like something scary from Mad Max desert. Shark and cannons are really nice addons :-) What was the problem with the front axle? I wish there'd be more brown and tan technic pieces available, because its a great colour scheme and suits such trucks really well.
  12. I'd say it's more dust that balls pick up from modules and some air humidity. The modules also get rather filthy during exhibitions...
  13. I put my Quercetti balls in a protective zip bag for lingerie and in a washing machine - easy care program (40 degrees C) . As clean as they can get, and almost dry too. No sign of scratches, wear or deformation.
  14. Thanks Eric . Oh, and I don't mind if your Jag is incomplete, I'd be more than pleased even with a small bit of it .
  15. Thanks @brickless_kiwi, I'll let him know :-)
  16. Good idea and another nice video from you!!! Did you perhapse test it by using 32L axles? Would there be any problems with flexure because of the length of the whole assembly? I guess the length of those "guide" axles is the limit of this system, or not?
  17. Thank you guys again for very nice comments @efferman Xerion pulled the trailer easily at the exhibition on a flat podium, but as you can see in the video, it has some issues on the road. I don't know, but is seems that as it runs into a bump, the whole drive train kinda accumulates some power and then overcomes it with a hick-up :-) Maybe my XL has some issues, don't know. I did, however, replace first gear pair (8/8) at the motor from your original design to 12/20. The 8 tooth gear got flatened during the ride... I wrote about it in this topic. Thx again for sharing your wonderful MOC/MOD and for making me feel better about the steering Best regards, miha
  18. @brickless_kiwi: The rolligon seen in the video is not my creation but of my fellow LUG builder Skandinavc FH and unfortunately he didn't manage to publish it's presentation yet. There are some photos of it in these galleries from our LUG's events: 1. last photo, 2. photos in the middle of the gallery,, 3. end of the gallery, 4. middle of the gallery Regards, Miha
  19. I agree witth Lox Lego on the looks. It is really aggresive and I totaly like the front lights - cool idea! And just look at it go! I guess only the turning radius is a bit on the larger side, but at this speed it is better/safer like this. Congratulations again on the bodywork!
  20. Thanks guys, I appreciate it! @DrJB: Perhapse Eric Trax can lend me his Jaguar @BusterHaus: Yes the delay is caused by a lot of play in the steering linkage. Also turning radius is much larger than if the steering setup would've been correct @2LegoOrNot2Lego...: Hehe, brutal...I hope you're not hurt . The halfpipe tipper is much rounder in reality, but you can imagine it is not so easy to reproduce in Technic. The upper sides are also vertical IRL, but I think them not being vertical on the model creates a bigger impression of more curvaceous bathtub. @DTom: Believe me, If I found out about my horid mistake earlier, I would make it right, but with photos and videos already taken, I decided to go with it. I think it bugs me enough to repair the steering when I have time...
  21. Hi! Finally, I present to you my dump trailer for Claas Xerion 5000 Trac VC, which I've built quite a long time ago and teased you with in this topic. My intention was to model a really cool looking trailer Krampe HP30 - a 3 axle offroad heavy haul trailer, which goes perfectly to Claas Xerion 5000 set. I didn't actually scale it, but scetches/blueprints on the official site were of good use. As you can see on the photo below, I made a fake front cylinder, which unfortunately doesn't exist in LEGO Technic, so I had to cheat and used a pulley system to lift this huge red bathtub. String drum located on the front of the trailer is rotated by rear PTO of the tractor. I used the fantastic Efferman's motorized remake, but an OOB 42054 model could run it too. The trailer is steered as well - BUT! - Shamefully, I've realized 1st and 3rd axle should be steered and not 2nd and 3rd like I built it. And that happened just an hour ago while editing the video! Oh well, I will have to put more effort in research next time Somehow, I missed the video explaining the steering part on YT. Steering is modelled by levers and works according to the angle between the tractor and the trailer. The 3rd axle has larger steering angle than the 2nd. As you can imagine, it has some play in it... All three axles are suspended (normal springs for 1st and 2nd axle, hard springs for the 3rd.) - I borrowed and altered axle designs from MB Arocs set. Tailgate raises automatically and is locked when the dumper is lowered. Here are some details, to make the trailer more juicy . ...and the underbelly - for those eager Technic fans, who can't do without . For the end, here's one with a little breeze and a video of course. I hope you enjoy it! You can find more photos here. Partlist and instructions here. Thank you for your attention and constructive criticism! Best regards, Miha
  22. This is one fine bachoe! I like how compact the solution with angled outrigers and back arm attachment is. Good job on the body, it looks really polished.
  23. I really like the looks of it! Seems to do really well and the suspension is just soft enough. Did the battery box counterweigh the cabin enough to prevent overturning? Perhaps you could make it a bit faster as the XL has quite aome power. All in all, a great 1st TT. Well done.
  24. Here is one for New Year's resolutions... The Dark Side Of Exercise ... and if someone is interested, there are some more photos and a video of this evil machinery over at Technic forum. Happy New Year to all Star Wars fans!
  25. @dr_spockThanks for the sugestion on Star Wars photography thread. Will do that @Jay PsiI am way gone to the Dark Side - but Vader is not the root of all evil - GBC modules are! There you face a true bricks devastation - especially after running these faul creatures for four long days without any lubrication!
