  1. You can check out this thread: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=37972&hl= Use it for inspiration and make your own.
  2. Welcome! Your presentation is very well done and it's a great looking MOC. The cabin lights are a nice touch and the different medical units are very well executed. I hope you find time to make a video or take some partially assembled pictures.
  3. Do you think the shock absorbers help with the image stability? Most cameras have digital or optical image stabilization built in, and from what I understand it reacts very fast to small shakes and bumps. Either way you made a sweet setup for filming. The writeup is full of good tips, too.
  4. Very nice MOC Sariel. The stickers bring it to another level. Have you thought of testing the speeds of your models on a smoother surface? Something like a basketball court, or even the RC track where you recently shot a video? It seems like you could use the power needed to overcome road imperfections to get more speed.
  5. The pickup/dropoff mechanism is the real star of this module. I am pretty sure it could be used on something like a tilted carousel to make the whole module more robust. Any issues with balls being dropped or jamming?
  6. Great creations to mark your return - I hope all is better. That buggy is next on my list of MOCs to build.
  7. This is pretty sweet. I'm not sure how long the chain will last if you display it at a show. I'm not a fan of the small chain links, but the big ones would change the scale of this unit too much.
  8. 8.5 hours? I wish I had a chunk of time as long to build. Keep up the good work and if you get asked about the cuts on your fingers, claim that they are battle scars. It's not a far stretch.
  9. Hahaha more of this silliness, please!
  10. Beautiful outcome. The front and rear bumper and fascia are stunning. It's great to see such nice lines without flex axles.
  11. Great looking excavator, the colours scheme is very pleasant and the functions are pretty sweet. Have you considered taking out the angled exhaust pipes and leaving only the black part that's used to pump the cylinder as the exhaust? Might make for a cleaner look.
  12. The control room took this to a new level. Great work so far, I'm looking forward to more progress reports.
  13. Nice, looks like an official set.
  14. The soap water is a good method. Use a small paint brush if you want to control the mess.
  15. The expansion set is an excellent source of parts. I've sang it's praises before for offering great value. If the goal is to grow your collection of parts, go with this option. For PF components, one of the cheapest way to obtains them is through flagship models. The 9398 Crawler and now the Volvo come with with a pretty good assortment to get started. You can pick up an extra XL motor or two for peanuts after. The flagship models also have a pretty good amount of parts. The PF components can become a bit of a rabbit hole. You start with two motors, then you want one for each wheel, then you want to build a Tatra with eight or ten motors, each powering a wheel. Battery boxes, switches, LEDs and remotes follow. Then you realize that RC motors are what you truly wanted and the cycle begins again. On a limited budget, I'd opt for parts over PF. They will give you more options in the long run.
  16. Very well executed. Will you be posting more pictures? It would be great to see more details. Also, are the cannons at the end of the wings bowed from weight, or does it look like that because of a wide angle lens?
  17. The windshield frame is fantastic.
  18. It's looking pretty sweet, especially the front grill and the seats. Are you using the chassis you showed or did it change again?
  19. Good going Grum, great to see your progress. A question for those who have built this model: how long did it take you? The WIP pictures that Grum is posting make me realize that this is a pretty big model.
  20. It's right there in his post: http://media.giphy.com/media/f6ek1KcvTWPmw/giphy.gif On a more serious note, I like this MOC quite a bit. The lines are perfect.
  21. Clever mechanism and great result!
  22. Ok, that was one of the more fascinating build presentations I've seen in a while. You are using a ton of great building techniques, on par with the top builders out there. I also love the combination of studded bricks and modern PF and how well they flow together in this MOC. Thanks for providing the extra information and showing the internals in such detail.
  23. jeanska79, thanks for sharing your build. It's fun to see the small changes in the build and the motorization. I agree that the rotating structure tends to bend slightly when lifting heavy loads. The small turntable isn't really suited for the job, but I think it's alright as a proof of concept. I also considered putting in a dynamic ballast into the rotating structure, but that would have changed the aesthetics for the worse. There isn't much space inside for a moving counter weight, so it would stick out and look out of place. I am considering building another crawler crane in the future and incorporating these improvements into it, possibly even motorized. It will have to wait as Lego's new crane looks like a great upgrade from my model, and I have a few other projects in the pipeline.
  24. Great shape, although it looks a little bit heavy on the rear. Would it be possible to see a picture of the suspension?
