[WIP] Ultimate 42009
BusterHaus replied to grum64's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I'm sure you'll be able to control it better than whoever was responsible for this: http://i.imgur.com/1DJYdH8l.jpg -
This machine and its video are incredible. I love that you got footage of the real one alongside the Lego model. Do you know someone who drives these things? The pickup mechanism and the unloading function are great, too. Congratulations, it's truly a fantastic model.

Lego robot wars: recyclopse
BusterHaus replied to PKW's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Are you putting a body back on it? So far it looks pretty good, although I would have stayed away from the small chain links. Also, season 6 of BattleBots starts on June 21! -

Are you going to play with it once it's done, or is it going in a nice display case? Either you are almost there, keep up the awesome effort. -
Good review, too bad the product isn't that great. Is there pressure to use as many parts as possible in the B models? It may explain the odd colours.

This is the smallest C-Model I've built to date. It's a futuristic snow mobile made with parts from the 42032 Compact Tracked Loader. There height of the rear suspension is adjustable and it has a small 4 cylinder engine in the rear. Here are some pictures: A couple of other pictures: http://www.busterhaus.com/2015/06/42032-c-model.html

Neat, but you put way more trust into those rubber parts than I ever would. -

Lots of pictures from today's visit can be found here: http://www.busterhaus.com/2015/06/brickfete-2015-montreal.html I won't post any pictures here because they haven't been resized to allowed dimensions. -

Good progress, Grum64. How did you manage the string? I thought it would be a bigger challenge. -
I need ideas
BusterHaus replied to Carsten Svendsen's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Try building a robotic arm or a walker. Mindstorms are very well suited for both. -
Lego Exhibition Turntable
BusterHaus replied to oracid's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Nice turntable, very strong! I expected you to be sitting on it by the end of the video. -
Very beautiful, I love the use of the same antenna in opposite directions to make it look like two different utensils. I was curious why the brick pattern on the floor changes from offset to aligned.

That trailer looks pretty sweet. Which bricks is the yellow cylinder made of? It looks very well scaled.

[MOC] Mega Walker !
BusterHaus replied to TechnicHead41's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Nice work, does it walk yet? It looks pretty heavy, but very modular. -
This is a beautiful build. Great job on all the details!

LEGO MINDSTORMS : The BEAST
BusterHaus replied to Burf2000's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Ha! I saw this on Twitter earlier and was quite impressed with the wheels. I also saw the omni directional wheels under the chassis for balance - I guess you're not using the gyro sensor to control the balance. Still a great build.- 2 replies

Nico71's Creations

Good looking hot rod! I like the identification of functions by colour - I started using a similar method a while ago, but not as consistently. -
8296 - any opinions?
BusterHaus replied to Richard Dower's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
The buggy reminds me of the 42010. I know the latter had a pull back motor and no steering, but the colour scheme is very similar. That B model is something else. It's packed with a lot of functions for something so small: steering, engine, and is that a PTO in the front? And great looks, to boot. I didn't know this set existed, thanks for bringing it up. -

The stock stickers are very well used. Great build! -
[HELP] Private Jet

You could always use stickers to make the shape of the windows. I'm not sure if this would be "cheating" but it would solve a lot of problems. -

Most models that replicate a real machine (car, airplane, motorcycle) are scaled down versions of the real thing. The trick is to find the element which will limit your scale: wheels, track treads, windshields and so on come in a limited number of shapes and sizes. Try figuring out which element will limit the scale of your build and base your MOC around it. You can use scaler.sariel.pl to do this.
